Is there a forum setting to disallow email notifications of comments by people I've hidden?

Little help with the email notification settings would be appreciated. I keep getting email notifications for comments by people I've hidden. Any fix?

Should be. Go into your list of ignored users, each should have a gear for settings of what's being ignored.

Doesn't seem to have anything specific to my issue that I haven't already selected...

 

It's only in my email that this is happening...when I go to the site itself, the appropriate content is hidden.

Specifically, when a hidden user comments on a thread I am following, I am receiving an email notification that shows their message, thereby defeating the whole purpose of having hidden them.

Perhaps filter the email itself? It is not very elegant but it's what I've done since I keep getting notification emails.

Seriously, if the way this site really works is that if I ask for email notifications on a thread it sends me the people I put on hidden...that's pathetically bad implementation. Just terrible.
