Focused Accuracy Slotting

I usually just put a single 50+5 end.redux common IO in it and call it a day.

+tohit is schedule B and the base value is really low to begin with, so the gain from enhancement is pretty insignificant. The main draw of that power is the -tohit debuff resist. If you're looking for ways to improve hit rate, taking tactics from the leadership pool, or investing in the Kismet: +6% accuracy (it's actuallly +tohit, despite the name) unique from the defense IO sets is a better way to go about it.

How many slots should be used for Focused Accuracy?  I often hear that Acc shouldn't be slotted much, so I'm guessing that the original slot is enough.

I usually do it in four ways:

- I need nothing or have no more slots to spare: one +5 endurance reduction.

- I need S/L defenses: two Rectified Reticules and one +5 endurance.

- I have the spare slots and want to bolster E/N resistances: three Adjusted Targeting.

- I have the spare slots and want to bolster EN and also S/L: six Adjusted Targeting.

The main reason I take Focused Accuracy is not for the accuracy boost (though it does help with the slotting, but it's not the main reason) is the resistance to being debuffed. Having 'more' tohit or even carrying yellows is of no particular use when we are being debuffed since those tend to be auto hit and in gross quantities. If you are just taking it for the accuracy you can take Tactics which is a lot easier on the endurance.

And if you don't know if you need more accuracy what you need to do is go to Options, Configuration, Math&Exemplaring, then change the ToHit to 48. This will make Mids show the accuracy when you are fighting +3 which is where you'll be once you have a T3 Alpha slotted.

Now the accuracy of the attacks will be realistic.

Thank you for your replies

I was just looking at builds posted on this forum and every one that I read skipped FA, which surprised me.  Instead, they chose Conserve End and then Phys Perf.

I tend to avoid FA like the plague. The end cost is just too damn high. I've found in most situations I'm fine with the kismet +tohit unique and extra acc from 4 slotting LotG. But I play a lot of claws, so tons of +tohit from double/triple stacking followup. On characters without that, I'll go tactics since I probably have maneuvers and assault already.

That's because a lot of players are TERRIFIED of their blue bar moving even an inch. FA is great if you can fit the end cost, and often can be left off when you don't need the debuff resist but as other have said id just slot it to keep end costs down unless yer doing something weird like trying to get full power quick snipes with +40% tohit

The very first time I took FA I had plans to 'only use it if being debuffed'. Then I realized I didn't have to. It did make things tighter but Consume was there and changing from Musculature 45% to 33% was negligible for damage and had a net positive effect on my endurance lasting long enough for Consume to be back.

I pick it and run it full time in builds that have extra end management tools. My ice armor tank loves it! Those builds that don't have built-in tools tend to be pretty borderline on end management to begin with, and are more motivated to grab epic end tools. Doing so typically pushes out FA.
