Now that the cooldown on Rest has been eliminated, could we also do away with the several-second delay on its effects kicking in? It would appear (best guess) that it was originally implemented so that if you accidentally clicked it, or got surprised by an enemy immediately after clicking it, you would be able to cancel it without triggering the cooldown as long as you canceled before the effects kicked in.

Now that there is no cooldown, the delay is no longer necessary.

I always thought the delay was there to ensure you couldn’t just duck behind something and use it in combat with too much ease.

I don’t think inherents need to be any better.

Yep, that's exactly what its original use was, so you can't use it in combat.

I don't know that anyone has every done it, but it does accept Reduce Interrupt Time enhancements

It's pretty useless in combat since you're made quite vulnerable. I guess if you had a Defender bubbling you or something....

It's not a delay, the power is interruptible (like a snipe). It's got a 6 second interruptible cast time. I'm sure this is to prevent using it in combat.

It used to be death when you got hit using rest.

At this point, just make it always on without taking a knee.

A bubbler will not save you from the -10,000% def debuff and -1000% resist debuff that rest inflicts.

Currently on fire.

I Rest my case. Not sure why there is a delay on this power other than to keep you from mini-resting at great risk.

But a small object like a crate, a short distance away from a team fight, does the job just fine as long as you keep eyes on the enemy, so the delay is needed to keep it from being a viable in-combat power.
