plainguy Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 It would be nice if you happen to be perma. on a pet power such as Summon Spiderling, that re-summoning will just re-summon the pets and restart the de-spawn timer again. Currently if you re-summon Spiderlings when they are available, it will be a wasted summon as they will not respawn. You have to wait for them to die them off naturally (meaning the timer finished) Reason for this request, sometimes you have them out and some of them die off early or and you have just one out and you can't re-summon to get 3 out because the timer is not up yet. Is this game breaking or game changing ? No.. Just a Quality of Life issue. 1 Why Softcap is important: https://dechskaison.blogspot.com/2011/01/why-is-softcap-so-important.html Limits: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Limits Attack Mechanics: https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Attack_Mechanics Semi & Petless Mastermind Builds: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/10994-petless-and-semi-petless-masterminds/
biostem Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Can you dismiss the pets? You could always bind in /releasepets or something... Still, it would be nice if a summon replaced the old pets with the new ones.
Rudra Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Non-MM pets. I really don't want my MM pets disappearing because I went to summon a lone replacement minion. Aside from that? Yeah, replenish and go. 1

But it is a quick test to see.. Rudra Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 Here's a thought: If for some reason the dismiss part can't be baked into the power as part of the summons, what if the other pets worked like MM pets? You click the power and the power summons as many of the pets as have been defeated. This way if you have 1 or 2 Spiderlings left, or if you have an Arachnobot left, you click the power and it summons the missing (defeated) units. Again, if for some reason the dismiss portion is not an option, would that be an acceptable fix? Also assuming the non-MM pet summon powers can be coded to work the same as MM pet powers....
TheZag Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 It already refills in defeated pets. But it does not refresh the duration of living ones. For the patron pool pets it can mean the power just fails and goes on cooldown if the pet is still alive. For crab spider it means defeated spiders are resummoned but living ones are not and they will soon expire since the duration is not refreshed. His ask is for the duration to get refreshed or the pet to be dismissed and resummoned.
Zepp Posted November 14, 2022 Posted November 14, 2022 I have occasionally re-summoned by accident before my pets failed, this leads to a giant whole with no Coralax, Spiderlings, Widow, whatever. With PA, Phantasm, and many other summons, re-summoning dismisses the existing pets. It would be nice if these pets followed the same system.
