Tankshock Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Anyone know if the Dom ATO procs fire in pet powers like Creepers? Thanks.
senseichen Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 I didn't test the Dom ATO proc, but I did test other procs in Carrion Creepers. It only procs when you initially drop it, patches and creeper vines didn't ever cause procs. This seems to be a change, since older guides reccomended it. But with PPM, it doesn't seem worth it.
Tankshock Posted June 18, 2019 Author Posted June 18, 2019 Wait, you're saying that the Posi proc and all the others don't fire on every Creeper attack? That would be a major change.
senseichen Posted June 18, 2019 Posted June 18, 2019 Force Feedback was only firing when I clicked the power. But it was firing 100% of the time, since the recharge is so long. I didn't check other procs.
Vinceq98 Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Nope just tested it and carrion creepers still fire the DAMAGE procs on each attack. I get multiple damage procs firing over the course of the fight just from the creepers attacking. I have 3 damage procs on it is still working as inteded. Carrion creepers is designed to be frankenslotted for acc/dmg/recharge and damage procs.
Tankshock Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 Posi, Javelin Volley, and which third? Have you tried the Dom procs?
Machariel Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 It'll also take the damage procs from Immobilize and Slow sets :O so you can fit up to 4 damage procs in it if desired
senseichen Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 That's good info, I'd only really been trying FF. I'll try adding a couple of damage procs. :)
subbacultchas Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Well well well, I assumed this no longer worked with Carrion Creepers and didn't slot this way because of it. I remember when it did work, and it was an awesome thing to do. Stink Bug might be trying out some procs tonight.
senseichen Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Now I want to try the Gravitational Anchor chance for Hold proc in Creepers. Has anyone used it?
Machariel Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Hmm, since Creepers takes Positron's Blast, that means it also takes the Annihilation set and Chance for -Res might do really well in Carrion Creepers if it has a chance to trigger on every attack. I probably wouldn't put the chance for hold in creepers since I just rely on Seeds of Confusion for hard control. But I do have to make some hard choices on how to slot creepers...
Tankshock Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 But I do have to make some hard choices on how to slot creepers... Oh, it excels at that. ;)
Machariel Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 I'm thinking... Annihilation: Acc/Dam/Rech (boosted to +5) Annihilation: Chance for -Res Ragnarok: Acc/Dam/Rech (boosted to +5) Positron's Blast: Chance of Damage (Energy) Impeded Swiftness: Chance of Damage (Smashing) Trap of the Hunter: Chance of Damage (Lethal)
subbacultchas Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 I'm thinking... Annihilation: Acc/Dam/Rech (boosted to +5) Annihilation: Chance for -Res Ragnarok: Acc/Dam/Rech (boosted to +5) Positron's Blast: Chance of Damage (Energy) Impeded Swiftness: Chance of Damage (Smashing) Trap of the Hunter: Chance of Damage (Lethal) That should work just fine if the procs work well. If you have +acc from sets, you could skip some of the triple IO's for dual dmg/recharge. If you're perma-dom, and who wouldn't be at this point, you might even be able to skimp on +recharge with a good global recharge. I'm at work and havent run numbers, but seems plausible.
Sovera Posted June 19, 2019 Posted June 19, 2019 Are the procs worth it though? Pines show them as 70 damage. With PPM how much is that? Personally I went with -res and +recharge, though in my (limited) testing the +recharge is pretty slow in happening since Creepers tend to be a lazy pet sometimes taking ten or twenty seconds to actually spawn a tentacle once we have moved to the next pack. - Simple guide for newcomers. - Money making included among other things. - Tanker Fire Armor: the Turtle, the Allrounder, the Dragon, and compilation of Fire Armor builds. - Tanker Stone Armor: beginner friendly (near) immortal Tanker for leveling/end-game and Stone Armor framework. - Brute Rad/Stone and compilation of Brute Stone Armor builds.
Tankshock Posted June 19, 2019 Author Posted June 19, 2019 Testing back in the day showed dam procs to be better than dam io's. I wouldn't think ppm hurt pet powers much, if at all. Don't forget Javelin Volley.
Chance Jackson Posted June 24, 2019 Posted June 24, 2019 Testing back in the day showed dam procs to be better than dam io's. I wouldn't think ppm hurt pet powers much, if at all. Don't forget Javelin Volley. Weren't those dmg calculations before PPM much less the modified recharge & 90% max chance nerfs?
