That one's tricky due to being on an unofficially supported OS. I'm sure someone with actual info will chime in later, but I suspect that this may be the limitation.

I'm running via Linux and Allow multiple instances works for me.   WanderingAries might be correct about it being the chromebook, but still odd.  Might be a setting on the OS

You're not by chance logging into the same account twice, right?

Damnit, I thought of that and didn't type that in.   The behaviour described does do that though usually with the line about being disconnected before closing.

Ok, that eliminates that possibility.   I think we're back to chromebook issues then.

Depends: If this is ChromeOS + Linux support from Google, you know Wine is running on a Virtual Machine, right?  It doesn't have full access to RAM as your Chromebook does.  (If your Chromebook is 8GB RAM, Crostini can't use all 8GB, you might be on 6GB or as little as 4.)  If there isn't enough memory, the extra client will close.

If you wiped ChromeOS and put Linux on, then that's not the case, something else is up. (Unless your Chromebook RAM actually is 4-6 GB.  Not enough RAM for 2 clients to run.)

In any case, this isn't really a Bug Report (Linux including ChromeOS isn't supported by Homecoming), so I moved this thread to Help & Support.  ChromeOS die hards in the community can address this one.
