Hello Dominators,

I am new to Dominators, ( Only ever got one to 50 - Mind/Dark) and am struggling with Fire Control, Hot Feet in particular.

Based on what many have said, I would lose out a lot by not using it.

I am enjoying my Fire/Martial character (Level 31 atm) but he already has endurance issues, so running Hot Feet is not working very well.

More than half of my powers have some kind of IO slotting, but I would like help on getting use from Hot Feet earlier in the build, since I love running TF of all levels.

What are the best ways to leverage Hot Feet at an earlier point ?

Low level i'd be tossing in lots of end red with minimal acc/dmg. Hotfeet will pull a lot of aggro on you from anything not controlled. All my domi's have end issues til i get perma dom and i don't usually hit that til i can slot my purples and catalyse AT bits.

You could try a couple end red pieces with a few chance for damage enhances, domi's don't need much acc slotted if any, not sure how well procs do in hotfeet but i run it with them anyway unless i need to throw in something like avalanche for some defence bonuses.

Thanks Meknomancer

I currently have it slotted 1 ACC / 2 END RED.

What I have found is that running Tough/Weave sans Hot Feet seems about the same as running Hot Feet and not using Fighting toggles.

With the Fighting toggles off, I am just getting the three uniques (1 LotG in Weave and 2 uniques for 6% Def in Tough) but

does not seem to make much difference on overall endurance use or survival.

I may try getting Hot Feet 6-slotted and add the knockdown proc and some damage and see if running Hot Feet without Fighting toggles works better at lower levels.

Currently, when I team, the fighting toggles and not running Hot Feet seems more efficient, but I still run out of endurance alot.

Why are Doms like scrappers who get winded so fast.

I try to save my fighting and other toggles till later. Hot feet I would run, 2 end redux sounds good, and the rest as desired (or an IO set with equivalent end redux)

I rely on drain psyche on my /psi doms, and blasters for health and endurance. Martial looks super fun but doesn't have anything like it for health/end regen

Assume you have 3 slots for uniques in health, 2 in stamina? Grab the temp power recovery serum too, its fantastic for many of my characters pre ageless or other incarnates

I have a Fire/time Controller, and I still had to lean on Incarnates to cover the End cost of Fire. Using Tough and Weave at 31 seems a bit early for them. I might not start picking up the Fighting pool until 30-32, but then I don't know what you picked up at this point. Being an AT without a native armor, you might not really notice overall mitigation until you get to add in an armor like Scorpion Shield. Doms mitigate so much from their controls, it is harder to notice how much other mitigation factors in. The good news is builds come together in their 30s so you are past the hard part.

If you haven't slotted Health and Stamina as mentioned above, do so. Again, I pretty much tossed as much help with End I could on my Fire Controller and I still used Incarnates to feel more comfortable.

Keep in mind Hot Feet IS part of your mitigation.  It possesses a mag 3 Afraid meaning basically all the minions and lieutenants will be attempting to spend a lot of the time trying to run out of the area and not attacking you.  Given this you focus on bosses and threats beyond HF with Char etc.,  Tough can wait, would wait if it were me.

Until you get your endurance issues under control (more slots, higher level IOs, set bonuses, permadomination, incarnates, etc.), I'd use Hot Feet sparingly as a click rather than a toggle. It has little to no control value, does so-so damage, and draws a ton of aggro. So I'd only fire it up when I've popped Cinders or tossed Flashfire and I'm in melee range with 3 or more targets to hit with it, and preferably have the imps with me chipping in damage. If the enemies are uncontrolled or I'm at range or there's only a couple targets, I'd shut it off.
