Flat Line Posted October 12 Posted October 12 Really enjoyed the smooth leveling experience of a Claws/Willpower Scrapper! Lots of toggles. Less frantic clicking. Early key powers. Early attack chain. Just a dream from level 1 to 50. So I’m wondering: What plays like that in other archetypes!? Is there anything else that feels so streamlined and comfortable? Looking forward to hearing about your experiences! 1

Psyonico Posted October 14 Posted October 14 I think Force Field and Sonic Resonance are good choices for Defenders/Corrupters/Controllers. There's not very much micromanagement to those two sets, so you really can focus on damage/controls. 3 What this team needs is more Defenders

Lazarus Posted October 15 Posted October 15 DARK/INVUL. scrapper is quite sturdy and smooth to lvl. It get all major powers by lvl 26 and when slotted is very strong.

Seems like keeping the individual shields up could be a bit frantic

Without_Pause Posted October 16 Posted October 16 Once you adjust to putting the mezz click on auto, Shield and SR can be smooth to run. I find SR a bit smoother in that it has +Recharge so the mezz click becomes perma sooner, and attack chains come together sooner. The +Movement just makes it feel one of the smoothest sets to play overall as well. There's a number of /sr Sents which could work. For melee, Savage starts off well enough early. I have a lower level Savage/shield Stalker. Two ways to TP into mobs. I'm like, "I don't care if it's all that great from a min/max standpoint. This is just going to be fun." I liked my play of a Savage/sr Brute on Beta so I brought it to one of the main servers. Top 10 Most Fun 50s. 1. Without Mercy: Claws/ea Scrapper. 2. Outsmart: Fort 3. Sneakers: Stj/ea Stalker. 4. Emma Strange: Ill/dark Controller. 5. Project Next: Ice/stone Brute. 6. Waterpark: Water/temp Blaster. 6. Mighty Matt: Rad/bio Brute. 7. Without Hesitation: Claws/sr Scrapper. 8. Within Reach: Axe/stone Brute. 9. Without Pause: Claws/wp Brute. 10. Chasing Fireworks: Fire/time Controller. "Downtime is for mortals. Debt is temporary. Fame is forever."

Well, FF and Sonic both have 2 shields you have to keep up on a team, they have a 4 minute duration and the affect everyone in an AOE. You can easily cast those between spawns, which leaves all of your time in combat to blasting. 1 What this team needs is more Defenders
