JMacClear Posted March 21 Posted March 21 (edited) * Disclaimer - almost 60 and seemingly blind as a bat. Need a Bat themed Character 🙂 --- We the AARP-G - Advanced Aged Regular Players and Gamers - hereby petition the 'powers that are" to: - cease using Brown "Shineys" in outdoors especially near bare hillsides and brown / dark grey building - despite Vidiot Maps - we ask you consider making plaques White - Increase the magnitude of shine on "indoor desks and computers" The very special photo electric cell hidden in the game engine that determines how much sun light / pot lights are shining on my computer screen is challenging my sanity 🙂 Edited March 21 by JMacClear 4 3

I'm about your age, and have had excellent eyesight these last two decades, but there are plaques on walls that blend in so much, I've stood close to them in dusk and night settings and didn't see them. They needed to stand out from the color pattern of the wall. A burnished brass or even a green, aged copper might let them stand out from the colors of the wall behind them. Oh, and add Arachnos base lighting, or lack thereof, to the list. Those folks need to learn that Edison's team invented something they're seriously missing. Even the CoT at least use torches. Skyhawke Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Or the "Hey, there's a pile of bones somewhere on the devastated cityscape surrounded by water with that one little island across the way map", have fun. Even if you're fully stealthed and can take your time, it can be painful. Just ask this guy. 2 1 Sky-Hawke: Rad/WP Brute Alts galore. So...soooo many alts. JMacClear Posted March 21 Author Posted March 21 Membership in the AARP-G is free for all payers aged 50 + 🙂 Sadly we cannot offer any discounts (ie 10% endurance) nor bonus with your purchase at merchants or the auction house 2
Scarlet Shocker Posted March 21 Posted March 21 I just want some "pot lights" - perhaps they illuminate your high! But yes some plaques are very very hard to spot 1 I neither know, nor care, what the difference between ignorance and apathy is
BasiliskXVIII Posted March 21 Posted March 21 Not quite there yet, but working on it. But I agree the plaques would benefit from being highlighted in some way. Even if it's not bright white, giving them something like a shiny bronze finish instead of the patinated brown would be a great idea. I've been through the history badges enough at this point to have a rough idea of where the majority of the plaques are, and sometimes even then they're hard to track down. 1
Healix Posted March 21 Posted March 21 LOLOL...as probably the most ancient gal playing here, those suggestions look pretty darn good. *now get off my lawn* 1 2 Forever grateful to be back in my city!

Darrk Waver Posted March 21 Posted March 21 And while you're at it, if you could make the (in game) badge markers bigger or stand out more you'd be my hero. I'm fine finding the regular badges I need for accolades and such but if it's one I rarely get I can be looking around for a while even using Vidiot Maps. 1
Andreah Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Make the top pane of the email resizable, so I can find my emails. And save my aching fingers with a claim 10 option for claiming stuff from it (ctrl-claim, maybe?). Probably help the youngsters out, too. 3

JJDrakken Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Can we do that to Dark Astoria Missions. I get it, it's DARK Astoria. But some those missions with flashy exploding light bombs of team powers. I literally go blind for min and can't see anything in the map. Cuz it goes right back to dark, these old eyes are like WTF IS GOING ON!!
Healix Posted March 24 Posted March 24 JJ, just for those times, you could turn off the particles and have a clean clear view of everything. (this also works great for invasions and huge teams where there is a lot of chaos) commands turn them off and back on /noparticles 1 /noparticles 0 1 1 Forever grateful to be back in my city!

Sometimes some those maps, I just can't see shit for min or two also. Just old man type 2 diabetes eyes. 1
biostem Posted March 24 Posted March 24 I'd be happy if they could just mark glowies on your minimap, provided you get close enough or one passes within your LoS... 1
