Intermipants Posted Sunday at 01:53 PM Posted Sunday at 01:53 PM Chatting about this with a friend - if you rolled a new toon and your objective was to get to 100 badges as quickly as possible - what would you do and how quickly do you think you could bring up the century? I’m thinking travel powers and knowing the streets well would be crucial (plus vidiot maps and popmenu for badges).
Scarlet Shocker Posted Sunday at 02:14 PM Posted Sunday at 02:14 PM I think you get about 10 just for creating a new character and logging in. Villains get an explore badge in the old start mission - then some explore badges and Pocket D - Ouro - Entrusted with the Secret and the explore badge there. also Echo Galaxy then Kings Row and Perez Park gives you the Pupil badge with the Plaques as well as explore badges. Atlas gives you 5 in no time at all. Visit the START and you can get around fast so there's no real limitation to how fast you can explore If going to space for 11 minutes makes you an astronaut, then I'm probably an expert gynaecologist.
Snarky Posted Sunday at 02:20 PM Posted Sunday at 02:20 PM (edited) you can get them super fast by getting location badges. Lackey to a 50 to do all zones (almost all) for 500 approx including zone accolades and history. Edited Sunday at 02:20 PM by Snarky
Intermipants Posted Sunday at 02:23 PM Author Posted Sunday at 02:23 PM Switching alignment at Null gets about 5-10, AE badge missions gets another 5-10. Think it could be done in under 30 mins? I’m gonna try it this afternoon
lemming Posted Sunday at 02:26 PM Posted Sunday at 02:26 PM Looks like seven badges get awarded on creating a new character. VIP (always) & Cheers (this month) Then there are five AE badges that are global for your account if you got them with another char. (Customizer, Ticket Taker, Author, Recognized, and Early Bird) As Scarlet Shocker says, you can get a travel power from the START vendor, though the free one at level 2 should be enough. At least 9 badges per zone and you'll get the badges for how many badges you have and a few others, so maybe 8-10 zones if you just do explore badges.

twozerofoxtrot Posted Sunday at 02:55 PM Posted Sunday at 02:55 PM Focus the Echo zones, they're pretty pacified so a level 1 can go through no problem to explore. you get a bonus badge for getting all of Atlas and Echo Atlas badges PvP zones youre sidekicked up to the level rank, so no worries about getting sniped by an NPC. every zone you clear all explore badges will give an accolade. So that's 9 per zone... might be hard to clear each one in 3 minutes... so possibly not the route to go? Will certainly be a challenge to get 100 in 30mins going that route. 1

Intermipants Posted Sunday at 07:17 PM Author Posted Sunday at 07:17 PM (edited) 37 mins 27 seconds. I made a mistake going to Kings Row - badges are too spread out - and didn't think to go to the Night Ward for the 3 badges you get in the Midnighter club until the very end. Sub 30 mins is possible. Love the advice about going stalker! Got it to 35:25. No multi-boxing, and I invited my cannonballer toon to the SG before beginning the run. It's tricky. Edited Sunday at 08:06 PM by Intermipants 1
RCU7115 Posted Sunday at 07:28 PM Posted Sunday at 07:28 PM A quick 20 Anniversary Badges just in ouro along with the explore badges for 21.

mistagoat Posted Monday at 04:44 PM Posted Monday at 04:44 PM Click the little ooze guy (I forget his name but he follows you around PD if you click him) in Pocked D behind Null until he eats you for another quick badge in Pocket D. 2 SPOON!
gameboy1234 Posted Monday at 05:32 PM Posted Monday at 05:32 PM I always grab the explore badge in RWZ that you get in the base, it's easy and gives you one more for LRT. Aside from that, really good advice here, I wouldn't have thought of using Null to switch sides and grab more badges. If you're grabbing powers from START, don't forget the free Jetpack, the vertical can be really handy getting around. 1

I do not know of this person I rolled a toon about 24 hours ago, ran to about 83 badges last night (admittedly I was up late) but then today a Synapse and couple of other minor detours got me to 101 so easy. I didn't spec this out or plan it in any way so I'm thinking you could do this in about 90 minutes if you were totally serious. 1 If going to space for 11 minutes makes you an astronaut, then I'm probably an expert gynaecologist.
Intermipants Posted Monday at 10:10 PM Author Posted Monday at 10:10 PM I got it to 32 mins earlier today and was killed going for a cheeky echo rwz badge grab which cost me about a minute. I’m gonna give it a go tonight, got it planned out with consignment badges in the mix and the paragon dance party featuring. I gotta break 30 mins.
Intermipants Posted Monday at 10:10 PM Author Posted Monday at 10:10 PM Also sewer badges are great because they’re super close to the entrance

Snarky Posted Monday at 10:58 PM Posted Monday at 10:58 PM but how low a level can you hit 1000? you can do it sub 30, possibly sub 20. my 29 corruptor is about 20 shy of 1000 and left quite a few on the table that could be gotten with some work. 1

Fair point. I’ve been doing it solo. I alt invite to my SG, and then I drop an ouro, log on my level 1 and go for it. It’d be fun to get a few people trying it for a cannonball run type race - a prize to whoever makes it back first to the top of Atlas with 100 badges. 1

Blimey, the lowest level for 1000 badges, and this sound so good. I’m gonna go for my sub 30min century of badges and then start thinking about the marathon challenges! 1

Events, lackeying to someone for mission badges. non ouro, so the set up is hard. some pvp badges. i think it may be possible to hit 1000 but 800 looks damn hard at level 1. 1
Intermipants Posted Tuesday at 12:14 AM Author Posted Tuesday at 12:14 AM I’ve seen plenty of 50s with 30 badges. I’m laughing at the idea of seeing a level 1 join a DFB with 800 badges! Badge run? 1
