Hard to find teams/groups

Hi everyone. I've been playing on the Everlasting server since last month, having just joined Homecoming after having played the original CoH until NCSoft's servers went dark. It seems like it's much harder to find teams to join than it used to be. Any tips for finding available groups? Don't know if this is just the way things are now or whether I should join a different server. Thanks for any help.

I never play Everlasting (i was literally stalked there, which i found both amusing and annoying).  But I know there are some great groups that run there.  Maybe looking for some established groups/channels/people with set gaming times?   I polay with Justice Superteamers on Fri and Sun nights on Excelsior.  They are mature and put up with me.  They may be stalking me…. Hmmm.   Anyways, good luck!

Are you stating your availability in the Looking For Group channel?  Actually, are you monitoring the Looking For Group channel?  I admittedly haven't played on Everlasting in some time, but I would assume the LFG recruiting remains similar to Excelsior.  Everlasting is the current main role-playing shard, so it's possible that the majority are tied up in RP.  If so, perhaps a shout in role play destinations like Pocket D might help.

Everlasting has constant team advertisements except for the middle of the night EST then it's just people advertising fire farms.

Never played on Everlasting, but last I heard there's a good global channel called: Everlasting TFs

 

Try joining that.

I know I'm not on there even at my normal weird hours cause I'm playing the Oblivion remaster.


Edit: that said I logged in just to see what was up after posting here and immediately saw two team advertisements back to back right after my loading screen disappeared. So I think maybe OP might be having some bad luck.

Everlasting TFs is a great channel for teaming on TFs and the like.

 

 Everlasting is the 2nd most popular shard.  No, the population isn’t what it was on live and it never will be, but there is usually some stuff going on except for late at night or very early in the morning.

Don't be shy about starting a team, either. 

Basic mission / story arc / TF teams do not require advance knowledge of any encounters or maps. 

Just the gumption to accept the star and put your name out there in LFG.

There's two groups I run with on Everlasting.  The Global Channels for both are the same as the names (exactly):

• "Repeat Offenders"
  • I've run with RO since 2006.  Great for good and casual teaming without any drama.
• "Everlasting TFs"
  • Note that there are a few variants of this Global Channel name, be sure you spell it exactly.
  • Great group organized by a few Team/Task Force/iTrial leaders with a lot of experience.
  • With them I got all the Mastery Badges on my main Badging Toon.

Otherwise, listen on the LFG channel (which is one that's Shard-wide) for others recruiting for Missions. Task Forces, whatever.  The experience may vary.

 

At worst, you could start competing with @Snarky and others who post about their bad-PUG adventures.  😺

They run MSR and Hami regularly on Everlasting, usually twice or three times per day.  Plus often something else, BAF was featured just today.  Plus there's the usual assortment of teams and PI radio mishes on LFG.  Just today I jumped in to help some guy rescue a fortune teller from the Circle of Thorns.

 

Unless you mean something different than just PUGs or you play at really odd hours, I don't think it's actually hard.

Are you sure it's them doing the stalking @Snarky or could it be the other way around?
