My newest Scrapper is a War Mace/Energy Aura and I'm wondering which powers should be skipped. Right now I'm thinking I'll be skipping Bash and Confront from War Mace and Overload in Energy Aura and taking the rest. Any other powers yall deem skippable?

 

Also I'm looking at Mace Beam from the patron powers, and it appears to be extremely powerful, especially if insta snipe active. Am I missing something here or it awesome?

Endgame, you should be able to come up with enough endurance fixing that you don't need Energy Drain at all if you're looking for powers to dump, otherwise you can just keep it and minimally slot it.  Leveling up, you probably want to keep it.  Overload as you've already assessed isn't necessary. Bash and Confront or Pulverize and Confront would be the picks for skipping from the primary, so you're good there.  I think you've already answered your own question well enough!

Depending on your slotting priorities and/or your faith in FF:+recharge procs you may find you have attacks you don't need. In specific, jawbreaker or pulverize may not be needed along side clobber/shatter. If that works out though, you can't pass on pulverize, so you'd have to pass on jawbreaker.

According to Kaeladin's DPS sheet, the ideal ST chain is Clobber-Shatter-Jawbreaker-repeat, so I won't be skipping that one. It appears WM has a decent amount of powers for me to take, but that's ok. The only thing I may have trouble fitting in and slotting is Maneuvers. I'll have an initial build sometime in the next day or two, so I'll see then.

Energy Cloak is an essential power from the powerset.  If you don't plan to take it, I suggest rerolling a different powerset instead, that you like the essential powers from.  Yes, you can make it work without Energy Cloak (you can make anything work in this game if you want, with enough money and creative building skill really), but 6% all defense is not easy or cheap to come up with and will save a lot of space either in sets or pool powers you'd have to take to make it up. It would be very inefficient to skip it.  So, yes, you can skip it, but no, I don't think you should.  There are other defense based powersets that won't stealth your character.

That's what I was afraid of. It's purely about aesthetics on that power, which normally doesn't matter much to me. I'll see if I can get over it. If not I'll just reroll. Maybe as Bio or Invul since I've never made one of those.

I've been thinking Wm/Inv myself for awhile, even been playing around in Pines for the last cpl of days. Looks, interesting.

Def everything cept god mode from nrg,, wm probs all except1st attack and taunt... get fighting tough weave and hasten + some rech and def ios and ur set

Maybe there's a minimal FX option for it, the way Cloak of Darkness for Dark Armor has.

WM/EA doesn’t look amazing on paper/Mids, but has been a hoot and quite fun and stonkingly hard hitting.  I don’t usually use IO sets before 50, other than an occasional Proc, but this has been one of the more pleasant surprises since I returned a few months ago.

 

strongly recommend it!

90% sure I respec'd about 29/30 to get more slots into Energize.  The slotting levels are close - I realized later I didn't have my Health/Stamina two slotted. That was done by the teens or earlier.  

 

The IO/SO's are in the same slots, and are generally L35/L40, not L50.  I rarely put Procs in other than FFB or the Achilles where I can.  Even the Miracle +Rec is a bit more than I usually do.  I definitely think I'd slot some stuff differently, tbh.  Why do I still have Bash, not Pulverize??
