Hi everyone!

It's been a very exciting week as we recently released Issue 28: Legacy, Page 2!

To celebrate this release we're planning two events this weekend!

The first is a Twitch Giveaway! We've partnered with the following Twitch streamers, who will be handing out both Hero & Villain Super Packs as well as Prismatic Aether during their streams between now and the server reset on Tuesday, June 24th - be sure to check out their channels for times and details!

The second is, we know that you've all been enjoying the new powersets and working to get to Kallisti Wharf for those new story arcs - well, we want to help on that journey.

So we are enabling Double XP from now until the server maintenance on Tuesday, June 24th.

Have a great weekend!

My stream should be starting around 8pm EST Saturday night.  I should be playing on Everlasting shard for about 5 or 6 hours.  Hope to see you all there!

Cheers,

Also, sad face because I'm on holiday away from my computer for the next two weeks 🫠

Huh - who put that little spellbook icon at the bottom? 😉

Right when I'm trying to run my "do everything while leveling up" character, hah.   That's okay, I'll just have to be even quicker on my "No xp" macro.  😁

All great streamers there by the way, check em out!

How do i get the drops? There's no info on how that works.

There's likely to be more info gleamed from checking out the twitch streamer's channels.

Be sure to check out their channels for times and details!

Each streamer is giving them away at their discretion!

You'll need to catch them during their stream to see how they're raffling them away!

Thanks Homecoming for the Double XP weekend and prizes to give out to the viewers. Congrats to all the winners. 😄 Look forward to future events.

That arrangement where the least populated servers were 200% XP was the best. It got the multi-box farmers off of the busy servers, if the farmers were smart.

A weekend only is stingy and meh especially after a very long period of no double XP and double XP again unlikely for months.

During OG live I remember these weekends happened often may be a compromise is needed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm for more modernization/community building, but this is literally not what Twitch Drops are. This is a raffle put on by a streamer done at their own discretion.

Twitch Drops, by definition, are given automatically by the game server after watching the streamer for X amount of time. It can be automatic if your game is set up for Twitch's API, or done by giving a code. - https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/drops/

I'm for ideas like this, but I think titling them Twitch Drops is implicitly iffy because not everyone who watches will get the 'drops', which is antithetical to what people expect when they see 'Drops'.

You're not wrong.

To be fair, none of us advertised Twitch Drops. We did state that they were raffles or giveaways. I believe this was more about garnering interest and data with regards to the viewership that may come out of doing such a thing. Will Twitch Drops actually every occur? I don't know.

It was a nice thing however for the Homecoming team to 1/ Do a double xp in celebration of the new issue and 2/ Showcase the Twitch COH community and bring more players to the game and reward some folks.

We'll just have to wait and see what happens in the future. Either way, thanks again to those who came by the streams and had some fun with us. As Molly would say ... Cheers!

Reiterating what was said above, but this may have just been my blunder. I was very careful to refer to everything as a giveaway or prize, because twitch drops themselves weren't enabled. I just may have missed that phrasing when I first drafted this.

To be completely transparent, we threw this together VERY last minute (I contacted most of the twitch streamers on Friday morning), and it was just meant to be a way to support our streamer community, and hand-out some fun prizes to players as we celebrated the first weekend of Page 2.

If we decide to do a giveaway via twitch again in the future, we'll be sure to mind the verbiage!

I just wanted to thank my fellow Twitch streamers and all the COH gamers who turned out this weekend to make it the party it was.  It was a romp and a half which I hope paves the way for more community events to come.  I'm still recuperating from the weekend's shenanigans!  Cheers all!  And special thanks to @Arcanum and the other members of our beleaguered dev team for supplying the giveaway and setting this up!
