  1. Depending on the desktop you might have zoom controls for example on KDE Plasma you can hold the META key with the PLUS key to zoom in, MINUS key to zoom out. But it sounds to me like your MRB install has something that has gone wrong with it judging from your description.
  2. Even though HC has given in and appeased the whining by semantically adding a system for releasing names the hard fact is that if it were fully implemented those that covet names are still completely unlikely to obtain those names if they became available - which makes that whining irrelevant. If HC implemented the name release system in to production then a new batch of whiners would enter existence - those that lost names due to the names they had being released. No problem needed to be solved and new problems will be created. No winners. Just whiners. I only have sympathy for players who lost names.
  3. The real question is how outraged will you be when the change to damage procs happens and will you rage quit? I played live from the beginning to sunset saw the introduction of the AH and IOs then IO sets. After enhancement diversification and the lesson it imparted to players I think those developers never thought at the time that damage procs would be used the way they are now. They intended them to be used as part of a set for the bonus. Homecoming have a pretty strong hate going on with farmers and repeatedly nerf their effectiveness. Farmers use the multiple damage proc method to clear farms faster. You can clearly see how this is going to play out - it is not "if" but "when" and how will multiple damage procs be made ineffective. In the last patch farmers were silently nerfed again nothing mentioned anywhere in patch notes however it still happened (up to 6% reduction in AE standard rewards XP/Inf for custom critters). I imagine the way it will be done is that each power will be restricted to a damage proc only being able to execute 3 times per minute. For example one damage proc might execute up to 3 times in a minute, two damage procs one or the other will execute 3 times per minute, three damage procs may be each one gets to execute once a minute, etc. This will mean one damage proc in a power is peak effectiveness. It could be worse, it could take the form of a character wide restriction - per minute three damage procs anywhere in any power might execute. Please don't try to blame farmers for the nerf but try to enjoy it while it lasts then when it finally happens don't quit but adapt.
  4. Try: C:\Games\Homecoming\data\texts\English\Menus If that folder does not exist, create.
  5. Yes, it's easy. You push some bootans!
  6. I'm happy to adopt whatever syntax you add for reset, @Number Six just to note I use a line containing "f forward$$UnbindAll" to do it at the moment. In my Reset file, this is the second line, the first line is "KeyProfile Modern" so eventually all my characters old or new, before I27P7 or after reach consistency. The rest of my Reset file contains bindings in common use by all my characters then each character has their own specific file that contains just binds they use. The character files do not begin with KeyProfile they only contain binds.
  7. May be there is cause to have a new bind save command that saves everything, like how the command used to work. May be a new command should only save what the default bindings are, for the profile. And never include bindings modified by the user. Best compromise? If it included everything then that allows the further proliferation of inefficient bind files ... /DefaultBindingsSaveFile <filename>. No opposite command needed. I have no problem with how the bind save commands work now since the changes with I27P7. Well, except for my old characters were apparently running under Classic while new ones are running under Modern. I have adopted Modern on all my characters. A file saved now contains just what you've added or changed and that is easier to understand. And it makes more sense to the cycle of save/modify/load, if that is the process used by someone, it increases the efficiency too there is never any reason to include the default binds especially loading. Plus the old saves were indecipherable with too much information. Be wary, I think a bind file starting with KeyProfile <tag> means an implicit bind reset it would not make sense any other way. NB I checked KeyProfile, it does not appear to implicitly reset bindings. An UnbindAll can be added by the user to the bind file, if they chose. The cycle of save/modify/load misses that crucial step, it should be save/modify/reset/load. My own process is modify/reset/load.
  8. Thanks for the heads-up, someone else also posted a warning about this issue elsewhere. How about managing binds, or wrangling them a completely different way like creating a file that resets all binds then adds binds common to all your characters. Then creating a second file that contains binds for each character. I think it is never good practice to bind-on-the-fly in-game especially if there are now bad consequences. For example, create and edit manually Reset.txt as follows: f "follow"$$UnbindAll alt+a ah ... Then create and edit manually a file for each character (it could be loaded from a PopMenu listing all your characters). This way you have a set of common binds, a specific set of binds per character and way to reset binds and a way re-establish them. The PopMenu that loads the character-specific binds could also offer to load the Reset too. If you want to switch the bind to another key, edit the Reset or the character file and Reset and load the character file. I think this is a clean way to manage bindings. No need to ever use BindSaveFile at all and you're totally in control. And happily oblivious and unconcerned about the existence of profiles.
  9. The only times I have used BSF is to compare with the default to see what bindings were added or changed. Nowadays I do not even do that; I have a reset file that uses UnbindAll, applies my own custom bindings and a PopMenu that loads character specific bindings from files that I maintain. To me it is systematic and therefore reliable. If I have been away from a certain character I can check the files to see what binding does what and pick it up again. I do not really know what was modified in Page 7 but when anything is changed/developed there needs to be test cases.
  10. I keep the Discord client shutdown until I want to use it, then exit it immediately upon finding out what I needed to know. Ideally, I don't open Discord more than once a month and only for a few minutes.
  11. New lower prices for LotG global recharge is Market working as intended for the benefit of all, not for the few who repeatedly manipulate prices and other players for their own selfish benefit without any effort for an unearned income.
  12. Click Help > About Click Copy and paste the result, for example Mids' Reborn v3.6.6 rev 3 Database: Homecoming Database Issue: 27 Page 7 Database Version: 2024.2.704 Running under .NETCoreApp,Version=v6.0 / .NET 6.0.19 If your result does not match then you might want to uninstall, download, reinstall check it matches. Or, you might try clicking Help > Check for Updates and it might do all that for you.
  13. No. Leave my Tri-Cannon alone it is very good.
  14. I have been playing one of these since Page 7 patch day - reached 50 now. Needed to reconfigure build to increase endurance capacity and recovery because it was always running out of endurance. It was due to bombing the heck out of packs of critters with the primary AoEs which was too much fun. Been a while since I have experienced total endurance drain on any character. I skipped Tranquilizer, Buttstroke, Elbow Strike and Ignite. Tri-Cannon is a good aggro-magnet, whatever it is shooting will attack it instead of you and it is resilient. Cloaking Device doesn't seem to have the costume settings (yet) allowed with blasters i.e. always hidden vs showing costume but cloaked.
  15. Players that are serious over their character builds will spend anything between 100M and 1B Influence/Infamy in total on them. Discussion about damage procs is something else completely. No, they are not required for a good build and a good build depends more on accumulating various set IO bonuses than filling a power with damage procs. There has been discussion about the need to apply some sort "proc diversification" pass just like enhancement diversification of yester-year to turn builds away from the equivalent of six damage enhancements slotted in a power (filling a power mindlessly with damage procs is the same). It is definitely more fun to play a 50 with bonuses from set IOs. Join the club, create a farming character and make the funds available.
  16. Try removing the colon after DisplayName AND I think Icon is case sensitive so use i.e. DayJob_Teleport some other stuff you can try is adding a blank line between the top comment line and Menu, removing the inner menu so the LockedOption is part of the outer Menu. Good luck.
  17. Thanks for listening to the feedback in the original thread. I think this re-work award of badges is good and something I would have suggested.
  18. Re: AFK Brute Spines/Fiery Aura auto-toggle Burn vs Spine Burst Just to follow-up I switched one of my brutes to auto-toggle Spine Burst instead of Burn. On an AFK mission run on the Shiva asteroid map filled with patrols it reduced the run time by 2-3 minutes between start and completion. I think that was good however I think either option is still effective because it is AFK and it doesn't matter? May be an old-timer like me might still put Burn on auto and lament the changes to Burn.
  19. Re: AFK Brute Spines/Fiery Aura - which power to auto-toggle on Spines Burst vs Burn Spine Burst can hit 10 targets, Burn can hit 5 And loosely: Spine Burst recharges quicker, Burn is +50% recharge time compared to Spine Burst Spine Burst does approx half the damage Burn does I had not considered the difference until now and still use Burn and it is still effective. May be I will see what the difference is by timing some runs HOWEVER when AFK how long it takes to clear a mission does not matter because if you check in every 20 minutes or so, done is still done. Auto-toggling something on is better than not auto-toggling anything on -- which I've done a few times and come back after 20 minutes not cleared wondered what was going on and facepalmed.
  20. Just an NB but those requirements were for an earlier Issue/Page. The objective right now for the current Issue/Page (I27P6) is 60 HP/sec plus, at least according to the self-made AE mission that I use on the Shivan asteroid populated with patrols that ALL attack at the same time. The advice is still the same though for an AFK build increase MaxHP and regeneration as much as possible. Good luck, it was a fun process over many iterations when I figured it out for myself.
  21. Brute Spines/Fiery Aura is still good and actually still my first pick for AFK AE farming. Your build is still viable but only for maps where the critter groups are static and not moving. It allows control of how much aggro is pulled. Maps containing patrols that run in to you would probably overwhelm your build (the Shivan asteroid with patrols for example). The build is not viable for AFK. I think rule #1 of AE farming is create your own map. Please give it an objective to complete the mission like click a container rather than a timer that ejects you in to the AE foyer. The foyer is already cluttered up with farmers standing around doing nothing making a mess of the place. I have been down the paths of recharge-oriented Mu builds, the unified active/AFK build and solely AFK build. Now I only retain one build the AFK build because that can become active just by pressing a few buttons (Ageless Core, Hasten, whatever other attacks and damage inspiration combine and execute). To get an AFK build focus/goal is increasing hit-points and health regeneration it's that simple. A brute can do AFK however a tanker might work out better in the short-term because it naturally has more hit-points.
  22. Like it or not I think this daily PAP reward will end up being the default objective looked for by every team that is formed for TF/SF. Diversity is accepting whomever applies to join a team and running that way. Diversity is not enforcing a team composition from 20 years ago and calling it "diversity". Some servers there is really a struggle to get a full team to do anything even despite the influx of players at the moment. If this idea had instead been about encouraging players to join teams no matter the composition it would have worked out better. Time will tell -- my prediction is this will place a harmful negative on how we play the game.
  23. There is one elephant in the room concerning dual pistols when going in to the costume editor the editor reverts to the default pistol and colors. I guess it happens to everyone it has been a bug that has existed it seems like forever. Nobody seems to really talk about it the bug is fairly annoying but does not put me off playing dual pistols at all. Is there anyone not affected by this bug?
  24. There were no server issues at the time the OP posted. Unless the OP posts more information speculation is just conjecture.
  25. Playing a DP/Ninja too at the moment and loving it! The highlights for me are: good defense (I call it good when typed/positional is 25% or better) critical shot damage indicators popping up frequently ToHit bonus from Shinobi, Kuj-In Toh (nearly 50 hp/sec) knocking stuff down with Golden Dragonfly. I had this character leveled up to 50 two years ago as part of "must play all blasters" but never got around to playing it until now. And now that I am playing it I am facepalming at the thought I had not played it right away. If you know the movies Grammaton Cleric (Equilibrium) + Wanted.
