Which “developer” had the strange idea of modifying the Controllers' henchman?
My earth control Controller has the power Animate stone,
and my henchman is useless.
Basically, it doesn't attack anyone, and in combat it attacks if an enemy attacks, but as soon as my controller immobilizes an enemy, my henchman goes on standby.
But I seem to remember that most of the Controller's damage comes from the only minion it has...
So to put it simply, a Controller does almost no damage... When you're playing solo, the missions are very, very looonnng long.
In short, you've come up with the worst idea of all bad ideas.
Or give the Controller the same possibility as Masterminds---> Give orders to henchmen.
Because as it is, there's no point in playing a Controller anymore.

Controller players have been all but screaming for years to get Mastermind pet controls. Well, now you have Mastermind pet controls. Your Animated Stone is appearing in Defensive Follow as a controlled pet. That means it will not attack unless it or you have been attacked. If you want the pet to attack everything within its aggro radius again, set the pet to Aggressive Follow.

(Edit: On the pet window, select options and choose "Switch to Advanced Mode". That will grant you the individual pet commands without being locked into the three basic presets.) (Edit again: You can also make macros for the commands you intend to use most often so you don't need to click and select from the pet window.)(Edit yet again: Or if you want to keep the simple controls, click any viable target and then click the attack (crosshairs) command. The pet will stay in Aggressive mode after the target is defeated.)

Another edit:

That is exactly what the update did.

What this team needs is more Defenders

You need make sure Stoney is set to Attack Aggressive, just like mastermind pets. You can also command him to go completely passive or attack a certain enemy.

Controllers have been lusting after MM controls since issue 6. HC has made those a reality!

Yes, not a fan of the default defensive setting.  I still forget to hit that 'aggressive' button when I first enter a mission way too often even after 50 levels on my new controller since the change.  However, I definitely enjoy being able to direct them to attack certain enemies now.

Sadly Controller pets still cant use things like Petsay, so I cant make my flytrap pet sing the song from little shop of horrors

The developer in quotations is actually insane.

As if these people haven't done more to advance the state of the game and literally the actually code more than anyone since probably issue 9.

Get all the way outta here lmao. 🤣

They may not be perfect, because no one is, but they've done mostly great work so far. and I hope they continue to do so.

This is probably a case of a player being inexperienced and lashing out at something they don't quite grasp.

When they figure it out, I'm sure they'll feel bad enough without us piling on.

I think you are reading that post wrong. @twozerofoxtrot's comment about the developer reads to me as if the OP is insane for using quotes around developer as if insinuating the person is not a game developer. Whereas your response reads to me like you may think @twozerofoxtrot has a low opinion of the dev and is calling the dev himself/herself/themselves insane.

OP learned a valuable lesson today, that he has been leaving his controllable pet in Defensive stance this entire time.  Now he knows to switch his Controller pets to Aggressive stance, and maybe to also make use of the keybinds that MMs enjoy to quickly order Controller "henchmen" (such as Stony) to move to a specific spot or attack a specific target.  Thank you devs for buffing Controller pets and making them more enjoyable to use.

Please remember that this person does not speak English, and that they are using a program to translate. And worse, we have no idea how accurate that translation actually is.

Being constantly offended doesn't mean you're right, it means you're too narcissistic to tolerate opinions different than your own.

A very fine point, PF and I applaud you appealing to our better angels.

But since you quoted me, I'll just say I do know how accurate that translation is for the part I referenced.

MY APOLOGIES?  I hadn't seen the settings for this.
At the same time, it's not very clear when you go back to your character to see that there have been buttons added to your henchman.

Once again, my apologies.

TOUTES MES EXCUSES?
