Level 50 story arcs not showing for Dark Watcher, Crimson, Jenkins, Unai and others... help!

Hey all. I have been going to Crimson, Unai, Maria Jenkins, Dark Watcher, and others from level 45 to 50, visiting them at level level up. And none have offered their final story arc. NONE. Even at 50. But in Ouro, it has their story arcs.

 

I would prefer to do the story arcs from the contact, so that the entire game isn't blocked off until I finish it. (I like switching between arcs as I progress through a few at a time).

 

Question 1 - how do I get the arcs from the contacts? All they have is repeatable missions and yes, I even completed and abandoned a few, and story arcs still didn't appear.

 

Question 2 - is this how it is now for level 50 story arcs? Are they now ONLY available through Ouro? Because when looking at list in Ouro, they all state that I will have my level set to 50. And that is the level I am at right now.

At least with regards to Crimson and Maria's arcs, I've picked these up before 50 frim the contacts so I don't think it's a case of "this is how it is now."

 

The other two I don't usually run so no comments. 

 

However unlike the strategy above I never abandon one-off missions if I get them. I always accept and complete what's offered and occasionally that will mean that the final arc is the only thing left. Frustrating when it happens but I've never had the contact go "whoops all out of work" without being offered World Wide Red or A Hero's Epic.

Yeah those are two I wanted to do. I guess I'll try some more repeatables and see if they show. At least they are in Ouro:) Thanks

Unai Kemen's first mission can be farmed easily for the BP masks badge, making it worth doing.

It sounds like you might be capped on the number of open arcs you can have.

I thought it was 7 total. I ony have 5 hero arcs and 6 total arcs. Always been seven for me. If not, it wouldn't even give me a repeatable lol.

 

Unai, Crimson, Maria Jenkins, Dark Watcher, and 1 or 2 others. Just weird that I can't get the story arc from contacts, but I can from Ouro. But once since I turned 50. I was at these contacts looking for arcs at 45, 46, 47, 48 and 49 - hoping it would show. 

 

Maybe they will after I finish arcs for other people I'm in the middle of? I'll try some things tonight when on. XalonMG is my kheldian PB my main. I'll update here if I figure it out. Thanks all! S!

I seem to recall there is a limit to the number of story arcs you can have running at the same time.  At one time it was three but that might be from a decade ago.

You can only have 3 arcs open at once (not missions).  If you have 3 contacts that have the book icon then you can't get any more until you close at least 1 out.

 

Also, Dark Watcher requires you've completed the other 3 RWZ mission holders' arcs.

Ouroboros is special; when you accept an arc in Ouroboros, it puts you into Task Force mode, effectively tucking sidelining your other missions and making the Ouro arc the only active mission line you have. Because of this, it ignores the normal limit on the number of open story arcs you can have. Regardless of whether or not you're capped on the number of open regular story arcs, you can always join/start a TF or Ouro arc.

that is the game, the way it always is.

 

i am running a character doing every bit of content on each contact 1-50.  now at 44.

 

when i get a contact open i copy/paste all their wiki missions into a word doc.  they may have 1-3 arcs.  or 0.  they may have 6-40 missions.  i will get offered 1-2 missions the 1st time i talk to a contact.  after completing that mission i get offered 1-2 others, often 1.  the story arcs usually offer after 1-8 missions.  

 

you do not just have the contact, walk up to them and tell them which of their missions you are running.

There are 2 kinds of story arcs, major (blue bookmark) and minor (green bookmark). You can only have 5 major arcs active. Note that the RWZ arcs, while minor, apparently count toward the major arc limit.

I've had up to 6 blue "hero" story arcs and 1 regular story arc, at one time. 

 

It looks like I had to finish some of the pre-50 arcs that lead into other contacts for them to show. I finished the Gaussian story arc and then got directed to Dark Watcher and this time I was able to get the story arc. I'm thinking the same will happen when I finish the others I'm working on. 

 

The female at peregrine portal corp once I finish her "instant army" story arc, I'll then be able to accept the maria jenkins arcs (not the level 45 one, but the other 3)

Crimson and Unai, they should open up as well, along with any others. Theres like 35-40 story arcs for level 50s which is amazing! And it had the order in ouro so should be ok now.

The RWZ contacts/arcs are sequential and must be completed in order.
