I logged in to this notification (left.)  I pulled up the Auction House and it only showed the amount you see on the Sold tab (right.)

Now, I get it...  The number on the Sold tab is the number of *listings.*  The number given on the Auction House Channel is the total number of products presented in those listings.

So it's like saying "you have twenty-two listings presenting fifty-three products."  As far as I can tell, that is!  Is this right?

But wait!  There's more!  The other day I saw someone mention that you can only sell thirty items at a time.  Where does *that* relate?  Were they referring to "listings" or actual number of products?  Yeah, yeah.  No context...  I would have to restart that entire conversation to provide context, so nvm.

But *wait!*  There's even more!  Last night I *gathered* thirty-two listings worth of products (there were thirty-four total listings completely sold.) Then the "Get all Info" conked out and I was blasted on all channels with "That's too many products, peasant!"

What happened?  What's going on?!  Make it make sense!  Why do I seem to be able to sell zillions of products but only collect them a spoonful at a time?  How does this work?  What am I doing wrong?!

if you do like 32 transactions in a small window of time the market freezes you, probably an anti cheat thingy from 15+ years ago

and a stack of 10 counts as 10 items sold, but in the tab its 1 transaction

so if i sell 50 stacks of converters which is 500 math thing something something its 500 thing and 50 stuff

sorry im distracted at the prices-so-low-its-not-worth-the-click listed there.  i just vendor commons and uncommons since its more money and easier to dump on a vendor

You can sell 10 items in all 200 transaction slots (2000 items total) all at once.  No issue there.  But when collecting your Inf, if you click "get all Inf," you'll only collect a portion of those transactions at a time.  I do not know why that is - math is hard for the Wentworth's and Black Market folks?  😄  But you could click and collect from each one individually in shorter time than it takes to click "Get all Inf" and wait the short lock out period - depending on how your carpel tunnel is or what your laziness / impatience meter reads.  😄

As you mentioned about context, the 30 item limit refers to the limit to how many sold item stacks of inf you can collect. For whatever reason, the AH won't let you grab more than 30 at a time without a "time out" where the AH is too busy to process your request at that time.

But you can certainly list 2000 items for sale, assuming you have 200 slots available, 200*10 = 2000. All at the same time.

This isn't really a big deal to me, except when I've let things pile up and haven't listed items as quickly as I crafted and converted them. When that happens, I have to click "collect" on individual items until the number is 30 or less. It might even be 31, but I cap it at 30.

Honestly, I thought no one ever used that channel since long before the Sunset.
The /ah made the trade chat channel worthless.

I wouldn't even bother looking at it. All it is doing is confusing you.

The /ah can only keep up with about 30 requests for inf on sold items at a time. That is for slots worth and not for how many items in each of those slots.

You can click down (retrieve manually one at a time) to get down to 30 or less in still left needing retrieving, wait a second or two (if you have been requesting the inf on many, many sold items), and then hit the button to retrieve all the inf on those 30 or less remaining. If you do this, it won't lock up.

Welcome to mass marketing of items!

The /ah system can only handle retrieval of so many transactions at a time. That seems to be around 30.

Remember, you are putting them on the market one market slot at a time.

You can retrieve one slot at a time by manually clicking to get the inf. I don't remember it ever locking up when I was retrieving the inf one at a time.

If this is the first time you have seen that message, then you haven't sold over 30 slots worth at time before.

I'm not sure where you get this "sell zillions" from.

You did nothing wrong. That is how the system works.

If you don't want to retrieve infl one slot at a time, and you are trying to retrieve the inf for more than 30 slots, then you are going to get that message and the /ah will lock up for you until it has the time to catch up with the 30 or so transactions it is trying to process for you.

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

Not entirely.  I use it to ensure my "cancelled" transactions were legit cancelled.  There was a time a couple of years ago when the Cancel feature didn't work right away.  I lost millions on bids that weren't cancelled when I clicked Cancel and were completed instead.  The channel notifies me when the cancellation had taken place.  It also informs you when you've bought or sold items and the Auction House is not up.  To each their own.

That is because the transactions aren't instantaneous.

While you are clicking to cancel, the system is still processing bids and providing the goods posted to those that had the highest bid. Those goods are then moved to the character that bought them before indicating to the selling character that they have been sold.

I'm sure you are not the only one doing that, but I do think that the number that are doing that are extremely few.

And I'm pretty sure that the players that have been moving the kind of transactions that cause those ..
