Developer The Curator Posted Monday at 10:10 PM Developer Posted Monday at 10:10 PM Badge Tracker & Profile Customization Badge Tracker New functionality added to track the progress of individual badges has been added via new window. This can be accessed by selecting a badge you don't own and then clicking the track button. Pin badge art to Personal Info window. Hinted badges no longer show their name as "Unknown". Profile Customization Clicking on a badge in the Badges window no longer sets it as a title. Changed the "Clear Badge Title" button to a Set/Clear toggle. Pin the selected badge art to your Personal Info window. If no badge is selected, displays the City of Heroes promotional Origin images for the character! Add /info_pin_badge to pick a specific badge. 0 to follow the selected one -1 to always use the origin art -2 to remove the art entirely. The badge title of a targeted character will now update when their Info window is opened.

It would be cool to see this visual on the character selection screen, but I know that is another whole ball-of-wax. 1 If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore. (It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

lemming Posted Friday at 09:55 PM Posted Friday at 09:55 PM Is there a command line ability to track badge progress similar to monitor attributes?

ryuplaneswalker Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Could we potentially get an option somewhere that we could turn on to show all badges even ones we haven't started progress on? I would love to be able to just track all my favorite accolades as soon as I start a character.

I find it super handy. 1

That is somewhat difficult because of the Praetorian badges, you would see badges your character can never earn. There's no clean way for the game to know the difference between a badge you haven't earned, and one you cannot earn.

Understand that I have no idea what is possible with game code, but could there be a check for Praetorian Son/Daughter in that situation? If yes, show all badges flagged praetorian, if no, don't show? If yes, show all badges flagged praetorian, if no, don't show? Badges are not "flagged preatorian", so no. Badges have requirements, and some badges require that your character has some flags set, while other badges require that those flags aren't set. So any option that shows "all badges I haven't earned" will show badges you cannot earn, because there's no way for the system to check that you will never meet those requirements; only whether you meet them at this time. The specific flag being used in those badges is "PraetorianProgress", and it is a flag that can, and does, change. 1

So not only do we get to see all the badges we can earn, we get to tilt people who want to get all of the badges with the ones they can't. I see no downsides.
gameboy1234 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago First, this is great. I really appreciate the work and attention to simple QOL issues with legacy systems and the UI. Second, for the future, but it would be really nice to be able to search badges. For the Badge title, for the text that you see after you get the badge, and for the text you see before you get the badge. Would really speed up finding them when you need to look for one particular badge.

At the very least, I wish we could get some visual marker on the Character Select screen to show certain accolades, like whether they've completed a Patron mission and unlocked the pools, or other stat enhancers, so when someone says "Running such-and-such" those of us with hundreds of alts could tell faster at a glance if a particular character still needs to do a particular thing. Of course, on that note, seeing how much Inf a character has shown on the Character Select screen would be great too. I've spent hours before trying to find that character that's holding hundreds of millions and forgot to email it back. 12 hours ago, Faultline said: That is somewhat difficult because of the Praetorian badges, you would see badges your character can never earn. Obviously the solution is to give us a means by which we can unlock access to earning those badges 😛

Honestly, I do some page sorting to handle that kind of thing. On a couple of servers, I have pages just with villains, ninjas, low level characters (to help on DFB-Posi 2 which are level-locked/xp turned off), by supergroup, and some by type of character concept. I think you get badge for completing the patron missions, is that correct? if so if the origin or selected badge showed up on your profile in-game then that would be the badge that I'm suggesting to show up on the character creation screen. I know that the origin was kind of thrown by the wayside by the time CoV was being created. It would have taken a lot more time to create the 5 origin paths to 50 Spoiler (I know they merge eventually as a character levels up...) for villains. It was fully expected that the villain side would have a lower population. But I guess my point is, that you could use badges to track either level of accomplishment or to remind you what path you had intended to take with that character. I'm using macros essentially as notepads to keep track of what I'm doing or reminding me what level not to go past while I'm running missions for a contact.
