Looking to make a stalker just can't decide what the best primarys and secondaries are. I will be soloing lots but still want team potential. For primaries I am looking at  Kinetic melee Staff Dual blade Martial arts(really not sure about this one) For secondaries Ninjitsu Regeneration Willpower Anyone with any suggestions please help haha.

Elec/shield is the OP build with 2 Telenukes in it. I have seen some BS/shield stalkers do some insane damage with the way BS works.

If you want of those choices you said, i would pick Kin/will or Kin/regen

I like my DB/WP Stalker (Stabbitha).
While not my first Villain, I had so much fun on her that she was my first villain to 50.

She's a MEAN little beasty!

If you want to be godlike, pick anything.

If you want to be GOD, pick a TANK!

Is kin really that strong?

Or everything else that week?

It's the other way around.  Kinetic Melee is rather mediocre due to its cast times.  It's main gimmick is the tier 9 (Concentrated Strike) does very high damage but cannot critical hit and do double damage.  Instead of doing double damage, it forces Build Up to refresh, allowing you to cast Build up again.  But Concentrated Strike also have a very long cast time.

From what i have seen primaries that are considered good are:

Street Justice (Best all around)

Broadsword (Strong single target damage)

Electric Melee (Strong Area Damage)

The commonly good secondaries are:

Energy Aura (Defense Set, +recharge, +endurance, +healing)

Shield Defense (Defense Set,  +damage, gets a extra aoe attack that is quite good)

Bio (mixed set, offers a lot, but you will have to klick some more powers)

Super Reflexes (Defense Set, +recharge, +run speed, cheap to build capped defense to all)

It has a bit of resistance, too, and the AoE doesn't break stealth because I think it's done via a pseudopet. It's good fun.

My only concern is the aggro that one man Army for shield I think creates. Not sure I want all that attention when I do team up lol

Against All Odds does not have a built in taunt like the other melee ATs nor does it function while in hide. It does generate some additional aggro in the fact once out of hide you are debuffing the enemies. If you are actively teaming with a group and they have a dedicated tank it shouldn't be an issue especially if you build your defenses up.

I don’t think it has the same taunt that it has on tanker and brute sets, but I could be wrong. I never notice it creating more agro than normal.

The only thing I will say about the question of "best" is just pick something that is visually pleasing and is your style. This game is simple enough for 95% of content that any competently built character will perform well. Often picking the "best" means joining the legions of clones that make up your AT. The data crunchers in this game are extremely smart, but limited in number. That leaves room for other less explored combos to be extremely potent given more testing. Not to mention that if you don't like the power combo anyway than you won't play it even if it is the "best".

I love Dark Melee, but I find it more fun and complete on a scrapper imho so I wouldn't necessarily suggest that. Currently running a SJ/SD stalker that I find fun. Took all the SJ powers to try them out. The SJ goes well with SD too cause it looks like some of the moves use the shield to smash people in the face!

That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.

The good news is that you should have everything defeated before they can do something about it.

Also stay away from Regen ... it's bunk in its current form, especially for Stalkers since you lose it's end recovery power.

This needs to be engraved on a plaque somewhere, cause at the end of the day this is the truest statement about this game. If you don't wanna play it then it doesn't matter how great it is. As a rabid altaholic myself I can certainly attest to trying dozens of combos and most of those characters end up abandoned cause they didn't feel right, even as others could swear by them.
