I had made a frog-girl not too long ago, (though she's more of a human with frog features) - "Lil' Poison Dart"

EDIT - I know, technically, frog's don't have tails... but she is a mutant, after all...

Psilocyboy is an "alternative medicine" advocate who has gained mind-tripping powers. I'm not really sold on my attempt at a tie-dyed tshirt, and the jeans are kind of bland. He really isn't into the whole conformist "hero" scene, and doesn't buy into the Establishment's expectation of what a hero is supposed to look like.

 

I'd appreciate some feedback on the costume.  He's a Plant Control / Psionic Assault troller right now, but I'm toying with the idea of replacing /Psi with another powerset, and maybe even changing his AT. I tinted his powers to match the colors of his shirt, where it made sense.

I was looking into trying out a Beast/Cold MM, but I couldn't come up with anything that resembled a parka on a female body. Also, is there no way to change the colors on the hawk or lion to white?

Unfortunately power customization doesn't directly change the costume of the pets

 

 

You could try to the quilted jacket? Is that available for the female body type?

Yep, just checked in the CC. Use the Quilted Jacket/sleeves. If you want a hood try Circle of Thorns, or a knit cap (hat) for the winter look. You can even add a scarf via the cloak section.

I wanted to make him a dirtier hippie.  I gave him the Quilted Sleeveless Jacket over the t-shirt which lets it stay psychedelic while deflecting attention from how it's not "real" tye dye; changed his spotless, almost white jeans into crummy Post-Apocalyptic style pants; and swapped his brand new Sneakers for Bare Feet with a brown Camo pattern.  (You could try Camo on his hands too, maybe not quite so dark.)  He's absolutely filthy.

 

If it were me I would make this guy Plants/Poison.  At first I thought, "I don't want him to actually spit poison out of his mouth," but then I thought, "Why not?  Maybe in 'reality' he's just throwing it at you, but if you're fighting this guy you're already in a cloud of hallucinogens so it's fine if it looks a little different from what is 'really' happening."

 

I didn't think about it until after I took the screenshot but maybe his aura could be one of the 'smoky' or 'smoldering' types to give a more blurry out-of-focus effect.  But the glowing aura works too.

 

Consider making his power effects all sorts of different weird colors.  They don't have to match any part of his costume.

I was thinking of a humanoid female ocean dweller.  The powersets I chose are going to have to be cosmetically repurposed for an aquatic theme.  But I'll deal with that later.  None of what I present here is *required* I'm just posting it to demonstrate my initial attempt.  I thought that the heels were ridiculous for this theme but the "flats" and barefoot didn't quite feel right (just yet.)

 

The second color of the hair is the block directly above the one presented in the picture.  The outfit is being presented as a functional bathing suit.  It's the Athletic top and the Shorts 1.  She's a Defender, so keep your distance!  :-)  Like I said, I'm not dogmatic about any of the selections (including color.)

She looks fine, at least from the back.  (I do think bare feet would communicate "fish out of water" way better, but you already considered that.)

I kind of went off the deep end.  She can't breathe air so needs an enviro suit.  Rocket boots to help her stay 'afloat' in our thin air.

What about a Russian girl Blaster with Seismic Blast and Ice Manipulation.  Where would I even start on a costume?!

 

This costume I got on random, I think?  I tweaked it very slightly from the original.

That's perfect!  Thanks!  I was trying to think of something like that but had no idea where to begin!  What about a state-issued costume?

OK ... now don't laugh ... after 21 years I finally and unironically decided to make a character using the Metal "with skin" outfit.

 

You know what?  It's fine.  You can laugh.  It's funny.  I'll own it 😅

 

The problem?  I never realized before that there are no matching gloves and boots!  It's "shirt" and "pants" only!

 

(L) the original Top and Bottom pieces - the only parts that truly go together.  (M) Organic Armor gloves are an adequate pairing.  (R) Organic Armor boots look terrible with this.

 

The Organic Armor gloves certainly look 'close enough' to match the style.  I would be fine with this.

 

But check out the Organic Armor boots!  They look terrible!  There's a huge seam.  It looks like she pulled on leather boots and then either the biomass grew through them or she just glued pieces onto them to look cool.  No self-respecting cosplayer would go out looking like that.

 

OK, I'm being mean.  Obv Organic Armor was not built to go with Metal so I should not judge how it looks together.  But there's nothing that is supposed to go with Metal.  I went through all the options twice looking for anything that doesn't look like she pulled on a big pair of rubber galoshes over her cool living metal suit.  The set is straight up incomplete, I can't unsee it, and it kind of makes me want to throw away the character.

 

Maybe a fashion genius out there has an idea on how to make it fit with something, anything?  Are you that genius?

Maybe, maybe not, but here are a few ideas for your consideration.  Please note that I had to go with a skin color I could match as a regular non-skin costume piece option, to sell the look...

What about a Seismic Blast/Nature Affinity Corruptor?  An alien woman sent to use her powers to scout for terraformable planets who eventually becomes stranded on Earth?

 

Ok, so I started with Metal Woman 2.  Then added some Blast Goggles with the lenses matched.  And I left the physical dimensions all at the halfway mark as defined in the original file.  Maybe the color to give that nature affinity?  Maybe a blood-red color, even?

 

Clearly, the terraforming division of the Space Corp spared every expense in designing and materials when making her ecosuit!
