  1. This would break things like the free starting powers, etc.
  2. So when you click on the URL link button it puts the cursor inside the right bracket instead of between the pair. I was going to post an example and then I realized it wouldn't show up. >.<
  3. I'll just drop these here: Dear God Why?!? You die, you die right now!
  4. Or a Wilhelm scream. Or the list of sounds from Maelstrom. :p
  5. Not much to add besides the understanding that this wasn't done before possibly due to PvP(?) and cheating.
  6. How do you code the size of images in replies?
  7. The game is rather disturbing from what I've heard. However, it is a fairly common term aside from that. I doubt it's the game being an issue, but yes, the game is quite...out there. I suggest playing it in the dark with some glass bottles. :p
  8. *blinks* How long were you editing? O.O
  9. The game WILL run on Intel APUs as well, so if you can't get a discrete GPU, then an Intel i3/i5 3000 (Ivy Bridge, 2010-2012 era tech) or newer series should run fine if it has a reasonable amount of memory allocated to the graphics component. My 3770k i7 (quad core) managed 7(?) low FPS instances (stress test) of the game back then with 16Gb system RAM / 1-2Gb dedicated/allocated to the APU. I couldn't afford my GTX770 at the time. :/
  10. That's the way it was OG and I haven't seen anything stated otherwise so far.
  11. No, those are specific to the server unfortunately. Many of us would LOVE to be able to clone to servers where others play (while keeping our original for our home server), but that didn't happen in OG either.
  12. I have temp widgets on my devices (because I've fried mGPUs with CoX in the past!) and on rare occasion I'll get a warning ingame on my desktop. So long as you're not maintaining 80-90c for long periods of time, then you'll be "ok", but I'd look into tweaking your cooling system to active if possible while gaming. Also, your ambient temp plays into this a ton as a fan can only push/pull out hot air. It can't create cold air like from an AC.
  13. I tried to do this exact thing using the existing Alpha/Bravo points and decide against it because it's just like going to the train with the extra clicks. I'd had it between my porters and the rez/meeting room (think a bunker). Then I remembered just how much rezing one can do and how much "fun" all those extra clicks would add. >.<
  14. Eh, I think it's more about the unknown life things that happen which "may" cause someone to miss the window. People get attached to their Alts big time in CoX. For those with a handful of alts, it's not a big deal. For those who have a *coughs* "mild" case of altitis, then it can be a problem. TBH, I rarely have naming issues even at my initial CC time, but I also don't fear doing things like using non-English variants if something is taken. Heh, I'll actually USE that change to influence the alt's Bio!
  15. Because I figured it'll come up... For the Multi-boxing, what if you Start playing when load is fine but then it goes beyond the restriction? Are you expected to check constantly?
  16. I wonder how the naming policy is going to affect the login/map servers as people cycle through their dozen(s of) alts to keep them active? I didn't think that 30days was unreasonable, but I'm already at 20 on some of mine due mostly to base editing and not being ingame. O.O
  17. So it's been a while since I've created an alt, but for "reasons" I'm cloning a pair of mine across servers. In the process I've crashed right about the point I switch to costume creation. Win7 x64, single instance + single browser tab + Tequilla
  18. *ducks*
  19. Phew, I'm on Torch....I mean...Woohoo! ;)
  20. Someone will have to chime in with the contacts, but in Atlas Park you go into the AP building behind the Atlas statue and then goto the counter. There's a contact on the left that you can click on to view/create/request to join (?) a group. Red side I think you have to be in Port Oakes in the really tall building in the middle of the map. Or just keep an eye on the LFT chan or here and send that person a message: /t @personsGlobal Hey, can I join?
  21. Hey you two, send me a message @WanderingAries ingame and I can add to the Torch server group. It's mostly name only right now until EO or somebody takes it over, but base is functional! Edit: Or I could just read your forum accounts properly and see your globals. >.<
  22. I forget which one, but one of the *.txt files you can save (options.txt maybe?) has things like rez settings in it. That said, the game MUST remember something on the server side (per Alt) because when I went back to play the Alt I test played on my low end device (I had to adjust down the options on that device to see everything) previously, the settings I had changed on the Other device were reflected on my original machine. Everything I thought I knew about the game conflicts with this, but it def happened.
  23. I was trying to highlight that the imperative here is the Data folder. Once unpacked it can simply be moved if you mess up, but it must go into the game's installation folder.
