  2. So I've got an elec/shield, which I was excited about until very recently. (37 now). I've got the right powers and the right slots, use common AO's at the moment because I can't fund any sets. I've got the end proc and a heal proc and the toon plays as expected through the Alpha. I'm running into a kind of weird issue that I haven't had before on scrappers. Everything falls apart after my alpha and follow through. I lead with BU, LR, Ts, SC, and Chain. That usually will clear out enough of the spawn that I can clean up the rest with the T2 and Jacobs. Usually. If and when I miss too much, my defenses don't have near the durability of other scrappers that I've played (Bio, Dark, Regen). It's either win fast or lose. I understand that there's a lot more damage mitigation to be had from 30% def and I've got room to grow resists, but...damn. It honestly feels like I'm playing a durable blapper. When Hasten drops AND I've got to reup Active AND I'm staring down the throat of a Lesser Devoured AND he just hit me for half health... Do I just need to tough it out for a couple more levels or ? Looking at OWTS it doesn't seem like that's the answer I'm hoping for but maybe it is. Should I take this set to tank? (I'm not a brute fan)

  4. I don't think anything needs to be changed in regard to tanks. I think Fury should have a global endurance cost multiplier. I always have. It fits, and it balances an AT that is over powered. By a lot.
  5. Stealth pool and a Celerity +stealth in Sprint (with sprint toggled on)will let you camp out in a spawn and do radio dances. So will Celerity and Superspeed.
  6. Beginners Luck went live at Issue 12. You have a 90% chance to hit even level minions at Level 1 and it creeps to 75 at Level 20. New toons actually have it easier. There is no need to slot for accuracy at Level 12. Endredux will serve better in attacks than accuracy until 20, then replace 1 endredux with 1 ACC.
  7. Installed today, removed the original Pines that was posted here. I unzipped the archives and ran the installer, chose the directory of my choice. Loads fine. Whenever I actually do anything in the planner, it takes 3-5 seconds to update. For instance, changing from Blaster to scrapper. Clicking dynamic to go to level up. Chosing the first power. 15 seconds of waiting for that. Continues as I choose new powers and slots. Any idea what's up?
  8. Is there a list, tree, chart, spreadsheet or table anywhere that shows at a glance the most efficient conversion routines? For instance, I have 10 of the Scirroco set and I want to convert them out...I want to look at a table and see if I should convert them in rarity or roll to another set or what.
  9. I see the damage buff toggle on my shield scrapper get toggled off all the time.
  10. At first I didn't like the crashless nuke (fire). Now, I love it. It's up every 35ish seconds or so and it still rips through spawns. It's like playing on live with a team full of kins. I also use Burnout, so if needed I can double up on aim build up nuke, plus throw in a couple of RotP's if I need to. But I've never needed the second.

  12. 44 ice/rad PL'd from 20-38. I was pretty excited to get this power because I've seen it in action on trollers. I got it and put 3 slots into, franken'd for acc/end/confuse. I thought it would be a great mesh with CC, leading off with sleep, toggles, and either cycle through ST's or nuke when up. It doesn't seem like the confuse portion fires very often at all, with the damage portion firing too often to keep my 4 slotted mez up. Choking Cloud has an almost terminally slow initial tick, but slotting it with a +2 hold and being careful with HP management works well. I don't feel like toggling WOC is the answer because it will hurt the chance to confuse even more. I've tried against Nemesis spawns in PI and I feel like maybe I'm just burning endurance to shorten that lovely lovely sleep. This probably isn't something I would run in teams unless there were some generous end buffs. Am I just being impatient or should I respec out the slots call it a buy-in for TK?
  13. You have to pay attention to how fast the spawn is being defeated so that you can toggle it off now. Otherwise you'll be waiting for recharge when you get to the next group. On really fast teams there's literally no point in using EF/RI, it takes too long to take effect before the spawn is gone and you are moving on to the next. I spend less endurance and frustration by just not using it if the spawns are gone in less than 15 or so seconds.
  14. Just a comment: Only 34% of corporate equity is owned by households. Of that 34%, the wealthiest percentiles (90-99.9% of wealth) own 90% of corporate equity that is owned by households. People who rely on SS are in the bottom 50% of wealth and own almost no corporate equity. The 50-90 percentile ownership has dropped by over half since 1989 and continues to drop.
  15. Kin electric defender. Its weakish until transference but short circuit with endmod and recharge combined with siphon speed hasten and transfusion/transference will get the job done. Have to be careful with targetring to make sure you got the right boss or LT.
  16. Imagine having primaries so good that Costume Appearance is a variable when picking the set and then reading about how that AT is no longer relevant.

  18. This argument won't be compelling until it takes longer than a few minutes to reach their funding goal. Based on July's goal, they need 200 people to donate 20 bucks. They had 188 people donate an average of 30 bucks in July in less than half an hour. and crushed the goal. There are right now 5031 people logged in. There is absolutely zero evidence that this scenario is on any horizon...certainly not enough to justify making changes based on financials.

    Damage Auras

    I have a 37 spine bio. The PBAOE is sick, the tough to kill is real. Spines/Dark was something I tried on live and really enjoyed, but I don't think it quite holds up to Bio in toughness. The PBAOE toggle in dark comes much earlier, but doesn't have the -dmg of Bio. Negative versus Toxic is a wash, damage is similiar. Cloak of Fear is good mitigation, but only against minions unless you dip into Presence for the stack. It works, but it's a pool. Bio's mitigation is targeted PBAOE but it will bring you back to full health and end with a click. Weak against strong ST enemy though, it's a crowd power. You have the option of the self buff from Adaptation, either a very nice +recovery which will eliminate End issues assuming you can eat the damage, or self +dmg, or self +def. You can jump into a huge spawn with +def, Build Up+Burst+throw, toggle to +dmg for single targets, then switch to +recovery during the transition to the next spawn and roll again.
  20. So i'm working on this and just a few minutes took a break and was looking at a stone ice tank build I had on live. Tell me why I shouldn't fit in Invoke Panic from the Presence pool. It's (now, according to Pines) a mag 3 fear PBAO with a 20 radius. I know it used to be hated...but mag 3 fear from Hide for 10 seconds for a single target hunter is no joke? That's huge damage mitigation and it's got to increase your hide rate until you can slot the ATO? Slotted up it's 22 recharge with 20 duration, meaning you get to pick and chose exactly how to clear the spawn. It looks almost too good to be true on paper, but I've never played a stalker beyond like level 16 so please inform me.
  21. This thread convinced me to make a stalker, something Ive never really liked. I mained a fire fire blaster on live and I'm really looking forward to seeing if the claims in this thread pan out. What's the typical cost on the hide proc? It'll be tomorrow probably before I log on. I don't have cash cow yet.
