  1. Hope the TF went great today. I made it home a little after 1 Central time, but needed a nap to catch up on sleep after a great week with friends, so I didn't say hi in game today. Looking forward to the VEAT TF next week.
  2. Definitely showed I hadn't done those TFs in years. Good times times with good people.
  3. Planning to be on the road by 8, should be home by 10 and good to go for tomorrow.
  4. Put me down as a maybe on Civil Powers - Elec/Elec tank. In America the People are the powerful. I should have my cheapo laptop with me this week. As long as I get up and moving at a reasonable time I should be home for the TF.
  5. Since I have only sparingly been watching forum posts the last week, is this weeks Apex/Tin Mage full up yet? Not 100% I will be around for a 11 AM start time, but it's possible.
  6. It's mostly thematic and not super reliable from what I've found. I do think it would be more useful with the Contagious Confusion Purple IO. It's a tool to help work around cascading defense failures. If I'm not going to be a Claws/SR Scrapper, might as well go all in on that. I had thought about just pushing the Defense bonuses as high as possible, but with quite a few Claws alts to play I went a cheaper route. Claws/SR tank, Claws/Ice Scrapper, Claws/Elec Scrapper, Claws/EA Brute, Claws/Bio Brute, Claws/Rad Scrapper not to mention all the other builds I had on Live Dark, Fire, Invul, Regen, WP......
  7. This is a fairly reasonably priced build I went with. I might delay Tough and Weave a bit more and take another power that can take a Knockback IO sooner or move a slot for the same thing to be able to level with more than 8 points of KB protection. Maybe a run speed bonus. I pretty much have the powers I want after taking Shockwave. Plenty of room for flexibility if someone wants Hasten and spots to swap in either purple sets or Winter sets once they are affordable. I didn't go with the Tier 9 defensive power, but I was curious if Seishinteki Kyoyo at 26 could offset the endurance penalty.   8. I have 3 VESTS to pick from. No clue which I'd prefer to use, but I'll figure it out by the 24th. If I find some inspiration for a patriotic theme I'll work on that a bit between trips. Greeter great shots from the TF last weekend.
  9. Ice does seem to have issues on the high preforming side of builds. I do enjoy it on Scrappers now with Icy Bastion as the Tier 9. The 30 seconds of resistance boost is helpful when debuffed. I'd probably lean towards EA on a Brute.
  10. Much fun was today indeed. Love the screen shots. I will be on planes the next two Saturdays and possibly available the next 2 depending on travel schedules. Have fun and keep up the chaos until I'm back.
  11. I went with a PB for that thought, get the blasts and Dwarf. Slot a bunch of sets that give melee def. Something that exemplars well. Tested and 20 must be too low for the bonuses, my powers are available but no defense. Either way I should serve as a brick wall for Posi. Then maybe respec into something with perma Light Form maybe? Possibly human only.

    Here is a level 25 build with defensive SOs slotted and the 2 Unique +Def IOs. Low levels slots are always a premium. When you can pick up an auto power or two add slots to your attacks.     This is a pricey build. Loads of +Recharge and enough Def to get S/L, F/C, Energy soft capped, with Negative and Psi not too far behind. You get loads of Endurance Discount from Energize and it's almost perma plus you can End Drain every 18 seconds. You can still get really good Defensive numbers with Kinetic Combat and Aegis bonuses, and the rest basic IOs. Fill in sets as you can afford. Follow Up, Slash, Focus, Strike is a great leveling attack chain until you can drop Strike when recharge permits. And while Evis hits like a truck; using Follow Up, Spin, Shockwave handles my AoE needs.   19. I think on another server you can use your costume slots for minion appearances, but not on Homecoming.
  20. Ranged minions are usually easier as they don't run in and die as much. Bots and Thugs. The second level Bot minions shield each other, the other bots(twice) and you. Cold/FF/Traps are the easier secondaries that give a bunch of defense to minions, plus the unique pet IOs for bonuses help keep them alive. Leadership pool can help with accuracy and defense too. If you keep them on follow and defensive stance, they will attack back what you agro. Once they get 'survivable' there's less to do as you are not constantly summoning. If your pets are in the defensive stance and close to you, dame you take is shared with them(body guard mechanic) so you can debuff/pull mobs without telling them to attack. You can summon all pets now, then use the upgrade powers once each and all pets get their extra powers. I'm sure Thermal/Sonic/Dark/Rad/etc. can all be good secondaries. I don't have much experience with other primaries, besides Mercs. They have low damage IMO. If I am around I will probably bring my Pirate Zombie Captain Jax (Necro/Dark). Wonder how ugly that build is...... Depending on how things shake out, we can PL people a few levels before/after Saturday's run or Sunday.

Poisonous Ice - Ice/Rad Controller But so many options Jaxon Flambeau - Rad/Fire Brute built for general content Jaxon Brand - Claws/Rad Scrapper Deacon Jax - Rad/Invul Brute Pull out Echo Jax again, Staff/Rad Stalker, Maybe redo this IO sets.... Probably figure out what exempts to 30 the best.

  24. Regen certainly isn't a set it and forget it set like WP. The Instant Healing of days gone by is no more. I did dust off Regen for a DB/Regen build. It does have quite a bit of investment in getting Defenses as high as possible. But with Reconstruction, Dull Pain, IH, inspirations the set is very playable. Even without hundreds of millions of inf invested. I'm not expecting a top performer solo against any content, but something that can be fun on any team.
  25. I didn't much care for how I had my Staff/Rad Stalker built, but then again I hadn't played him since last fall maybe. One of those I should have a Stalker and try out 2 sets I haven't played before. Got the idea idea to try Energy Melee again, but the cast times on the big hitters got thinking it would be to far from my wheel house. I skip Evis all the time, the only Claws power with a long recharge. Think I've settled on Ice/Shield for my second Homecoming Stalker and first on my 2nd account. Maybe he'll fit into an upcoming theme.
