You have gnu ears? *tilts head* Whatever works for ya. 😉

I kind of hated the set 'til I just ... ignored combos, yeah. It makes actually *hitting* one feel more like "hey, bonus" rather than something you should be chasing.

WIndows 11 (and 10, I think,) by default used Print Screen for the Snipping tool - which would be the odd thing you saw pop up. Go to your settings, accessiblility, keyboard, and about in the middle you'll find a toggle to have windows use print screen to capture stuff. You can toggle that off. Or, of course, pick a different key in game. (or make it alt+print screen or something.)

Sending Yourself INF after Issue 28 - An Open Question

How about not judging what someone does and doesn't do? Unless you're them, (A) you don't know and (B) it's none of your business. -
Training Options: Powers vs Enhancement Slots
Greycat replied to Perma-Newbie's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
When I mentioned breaking it? I mean it mechanically breaks the game. (Most amusing example: Sometime back on live, there was a bug that - as I recall - let a Peacebringer put *all* their slots into one power. They one-shot Hami. I want to say this was pre-IOs, too, but can't swear to it.) -
I wonder if the OP even logs in to the game, given some of the ... bizarre premises he comes up with. "No one has got many characters who have gone (to 50)?" "Takes a long time to get there?" Are we playing the same game? I'll log in and see someone with a new character and, when I see them a week later, they're 50+incarnates. They just ... play the game. I'll say the only reason I don't have *more* 50s than the 30-odd I do or that my characters "take a long time" is that I spend most of my time hanging out RPing. (Which also tends to generate alts, some of which don't generally need to be or have reason not to be 50.) Even then, they get there without all that much effort. I have no idea what the OP does, even after reading far too many of his posts.

Training Options: Powers vs Enhancement Slots
Greycat replied to Perma-Newbie's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
IF something like this were done, I'd say there'd have to be a lower limit before it would become available. Granted, it might be *amusing* to have someone with no powers but Brawl, Sprint and inherent fitness highly slotted by level 10, but... Besides, I *want* to say messing with slots like this tends to break the game when stuff like this is tried. -
It's a little weird to actually find who gives Tsoo as enemies, though - if you search "Enemy Tsoo" you should get them (or enemy groups tsoo.) https://homecoming.wiki/w/index.php?search=enemy+tsoo&title=Special%3ASearch&profile=advanced&fulltext=1&ns0=1 ... for example. (Thinking there should just be a link or some way of editing the enemy group page... I absolutely suck at wiki editing, though, so...)

Never happened on live. Maybe as some other independent server. The closest thing to a PVP server we had was - well, similar to Virtue being the RP server. Just an unofficial designation. Live, the only PVP zones we had were the same ones we have now - Bloody Bay, Siren's Call, Warburg and Recluse's VIctory (as well as the arena of course.) As far as the OP? As small as the PVP ... I'm even going to include "PVP friendly if not active" to get the most people ... population is, I can't see this being not just "not on the table" or "not on the roadmap" but "not even in the same galaxy." Even with the "do a mirror version of each zone," you've now made development and testing much, much more difficult as everything would have to be tested against both versions. If there wer a huge "I want to PVP!" population? Well, it'd probably already be baked in more. 🙂

Is this reproduceable: Yes. I *suspect* it's the "app protection" option in Citrix, as its description includes, in part, watching for keyloggers. The interaction isn't just limited to COH, by the way. Part of what I'd found was an online key rollover test. (https://www.mechanical-keyboard.org/key-rollover-test/d) Start the test and - without Citrix - hold down (say) W and A - both will start up. Reinstall citrix, enable protection and restart the PC, and it will swap between them instead of letting them chord. Even if you exit Citrix (from the system tray.) Even ending all services related to Citrix in task manager. (Expect edits in a moment.) Edit: Yes, it's the "app protection" option during the citrix installation. Removed citrix, rebooted, reinstalled without that option and the chording/rollover was not affected.

Honestly... yeah, it doesn't stand out but the pattern on the Canadian jackets isn't *awful.* I can appreciate subtle-ish. And yes, Mongolia and the Philippines have some nice designs there...

EDIT: Call it a bad day, I read into what was written some attitude that wasn't there. Sorry, SK.

Part of why I don't deal much with Praetoria... the ambushes just get tedious. One of the designers was just ambush-happy.

Just throwing this out there as an odd issue I ran across recently. So I'm on vacation, and with the ... mess... recently I decided to check work email. Which meant (for convenience's sake) throwing Citrix Workspace on this system. Once I did so, with app protection (not sure if important,) the rollover on my (Corsair K95) keyboard stopped working. As in... you can usually hit (say) W and A to start heading to the side while moving forward. It wouldn't do that. One would cancel the other. Tested on other systems, worked fine, restarted system - no go, reset keyboard, killed software, same thing, put keyboard on another system... worked fine. "Last thing I put on was Citrix." Removed it, restarted PC... and it worked fine. Throwing this out there just as an oddity. I can't even guarantee putting Citrix back on would do it again. (And, really... I want to keep work as far from this system as I can. I'm on vacation!) (Details: Citrix Workspace app 2405, released July 8. Win11 pro 22631 Z690 Aero G DDR4 I5-13600k, 32 Gb RAM, EVGA nVidia RTX 3070 TI, current drivers.)

Uhhhhh.... As someone who plays a fair number of Kheldians - what are you babbling about? They don't get anciliary pools because they *already* have extended power sets. APPs are designed to give a little bit of something the AT is missing - for instance, melee will probably get ranged damage and some sort of control, ranged and support tend to get some sort of (typically resist) shield, etc. Khelds don't need that. So, no, that is not "a big disadvantage." And there has always been a low number of Kheld players. They used to have a level limit to create one - which, frankly, should still be the case. They're much more complex to build and slot, being given the same number of slots during leveling as a standard AT but potentially having *several* more powers available to them. They're not "bang face on keyboard - profit" ATs, on top of having enemies specific to them (which *have* been nerfed severely, unlike the AT.) And, frankly... no idea what you're talking about with an "end drain crash." ESPECIALLY on Warshades, who can top off fairly frequently on dead enemies, but even PBs have end management built in.

So you want to raise the level of the zone because you play in a way that gives more XP and makes you level faster... I suspect there's a solution here that doesn't involve any dev effort. Besides, once you're done with the Hollows normally, you're able - or at least close to able - to start Faultline, and halfway through Faultline Striga opens up its arcs. Finishing Faultline and Striga puts you right in range for Croatoa. All these story zones become available in a nice chain.

Personally I'd be fine with the "coming storm" going away. It was a horrible sounding idea, frankly, and mostly pushing more Incarnate stuff in the next tier of abilities (which we have little to no information on.)

Avoiding Sloppy Writing in Alignment Tip Missions
Greycat replied to mechahamham's topic in General Discussion
Well... no. And even your solution ("You call a friend and") has the same problem I have with those missions - and have basically just waved away as things that don't really happen. They really railroad your character at times into doing things they *would not do.* But there's a limit to how many choices and such they can give you. They figured out more as they developed the game more, but still... you're on rails. -
IO Sets with Level Caps... Do you ever use them?
Greycat replied to ThatGuyCDude's topic in General Discussion
Yes. There are some very useful pieces that are in low level sets - like KB protection in the defense and damage resistance spots. One of which also adds something like 3% defense to all. ... because 5 is already enough to easily min/max, perma or cap stuff and make the game stupidly easy? Personally I'd lower it to 3. And make LOTG's recharge unique. -
Captain America: Brave New World
Greycat replied to Excraft's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
Eh. Might be a good movie, but for me at least... Kind of in Marvel burnout still. (Of course, there's always DC... heheh... ha...yeah, no, not with their track record...) -
Hitting Enter should accept Terms of Service
Greycat replied to adran06's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Honestly I'd like "enter" after the username to just move to the PW field. I seem to recall it trying to log me on with a blank password when I do that. (Not sure any more if it's aware of tab for moving between fields as well.. I want to say no, but I'm not 100% sure.) -
The ol' shard vs thread debate - resolved
Greycat replied to Ukase's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Because shards are only used for *one* slot? I mean, seems kind of obvious...
