  1. That is what i do really. Players should tweak change any builds depending on how they play etc. Hopefully the builds give ideas for changes to their own builds. I know i use some aspects of other peoples builds. Stone Armour has been reworked some so tweaking will be necessary. Gameplay is the real test of any build. What looks good in black and white may not always be the case in game.
  2. Having the extra defence does allow builds easier but it can also offer a buffer against defence debuffs. The epic pool can help with Martial Arts AoE also. You have a good build but i do feel Rooted and Earth embrace are a little over slotted and the slots could be spent better elsewhere. Dropping Granite and removing a few slots could actually get you another attack or something if needed. Maybe something to consider. Good old Super strength will do well with StoneA also. Just be careful during the crash. especially if you are fighting defence debuffers. I also do not feel Granite is needed at all. The amount of times you will actually need it with a good build is not worth the slot space.
  3. Yes a Hover Sentinel is pretty tough :). Depends on what they are fighting and where though. Sentinel is ok, but it could be better than it is. I just think it is too handicapped. I would rather play a Veat or PB or even a Corruptor, they are more interesting. 1-50 is quite fun as you can blast and are quite resilient but get to end game and the reduced targets and mediocre damage just don't do it for me. I can do so much more and have more fun on other AT's. They can solo ok though....just not as good as some other AT's. But then we have seen Blasters solo +4x8 ITF 😛
  4. This is my SA/MA Tanker. Some slow resists. Silly defence lol.
  5. Personal insults uh? You must be really passionate about this game class :P I never said once they were not durable. I said they were out classed in the current state. A scrapper or Brute is more durable and more damaging. Even a Tanker will kill faster just by hitting far more targets. I even have a Stalker that is far more durable and hugely more damaging. I feel there are too many restrictions on the class. Either increase the target limit or increase the damage at least. One of these things would improve the class a lot straight away. Also rework Opportunity, it's a bit rubbish. Yes i have played them and yes i have kitted them out, but i just feel they are lacking and out classed and not finished. It is about time they received a small rework. If i wanted a durable blaster type i would roll a PB or Veat. At least the Veat bring decent team buffs and the PB are quite unique.
  6. I have done one with Martial arts which is ok and extremely survivable. If i were to do another i think it would be /EM. The AoE on EM is not as bad as some say really. Better than MA anyway. EM has great single target, with ok AoE and some reduced endurance cost.
  7. Best i could think of lol. Ill try better.... A Sentinel will often be the last to die standing at the back doing a small amount of damage, with the ability to flee if the team starts to wipe 😛
  8. Blasters have superior damage and number of targets (16 vs 10). hitting more targets and much harder. Sentinels are not even close. Let the Tanker take the damage. He will clear mobs much faster than a Sentinel anyway lol. You are better off with a Scrapper or Brute than a Sentinel if you want survival and damage. They are superior both ways.
  9. Definitely a good set now even without Granite. A mix of defence and resists, +recovery, +max health/heal a damage aura and extra damage proc on top and + recharge are pretty nice. And if that isn't enough and you find yourself in poop street then hit Granite and laugh at the mobs. I do wonder if Granite should have a 1 minute duration only though and suppress the other armours rather than de-toggle them.
  10. Or Swords on back backpack cosmetics. :)
  11. It's about time Tankers got it and EA.
  12. It's funny you say that about Bio's survival. I find my Bio is better than my Rad in buffed ITF which surprised me and i love my RadA. Maybe its the soft control from SS helping the set with regen and heals etc i don't know. I find it better than my DarkA also which is very slightly above RadA in survival. Weird 😛 I am forgetting this is Scrapper forum, i mean the above on my Tanker. @Bill Z Bubbano not yet lol. But the test server can. One thing with StoneM though...why put Tremor last for Scrappers?. They should switch it with Seismic smash like Tankers. SM with some FF procs will be nice though for single target on Scrappers with some good CC. @Sovera yes Fault is pretty dire. Maybe with some procs. I would turn fault into a long Cone (like a fault line) and give it relevant damage.
  13. Stone melee.
  14. Seismic smash for scrapper looks a little too good. I know it has reduced crit damage but it also has increased crit chance to compensate. it is leaps ahead of clobber for example and it is the best single attack other than ET in focus mode or rend armour. If it crits more often and that crit also gives extra hold? it will be a holding dps monster. Better than clobber or crushing uppercut buffed 😛 crazy 🙂
  15. Bio armour (in defensive or efficient for endurance form) with a theft of essence proc, electric armour, Rad armour with a ToE proc or willpower may do well at low levels. They all have some good endurance management which is horrible for most at lower levels. They have heals/resists and some defences. Couple it with Martial arts or ice or possibly Katana will help also.
  16. Me to just not as well as some other sets. Of the resist sets its probably the best. I also have a Bio armor Tanker that does surprisingly well. Better than the rad or dark Tanker usually, just took me a while to get a good build.
  17. Defence and heal debuffs would really destroy a DarkA. Not to say they aren't very tough. very slightly ahead of my RadA Tanker, but below shield/invuln. The combination of debuff resistant high defence with some decent resists buffed by the SMotTanker etc is just too hard to beat. Taking no damage is better than trying to heal damage taken.
  18. SS, Rad, Energy or elec melee would get my vote.
  19. A well built Dark shouldn't have much trouble with endurance with ageless and a theft of essence proc in Dregeneration. They are fairly similar. Rad you need to move about more to give your heals time when getting overwhelmed and Dark just stands there and hopefully the heal is up quick enough. But that is more extreme content. Martial arts would add to Darks Cloak of Darkness defence quite nicely. Dark has an aura and Rad has an AoE nuke. Rads nuke is good for jumping into a group and unleashing that extra AoE but its slow to use. Rad will be easier at lower levels due to better endurance management. Dark Obliteration or one of the other AoE powers in the epic pools will help MA with some extra AoE. Both are good choices.
  20. I still prefer my Rad armor (or dark armor) even though Shield is better 99% of the time. Some content really tests Rad Armor which gives some fun moments of trying to stay alive whilst taking the mobs out. More exciting than Shield in my opinion. But each to their own 🙂
  21. I have both a RadA and a DarkA Tanker. They are similar with Dark being more survivable in some situations. But -heal debuffs will hurt DarkA more than the RadA. Rad armor is tough, Dark is tougher most of the time, but Shield and invuln are much tougher. MY vote for the best Tanker primary would have to go to Shield defence. Exceptionally tough and brings added damage. A DDR nerf to it (1 stack only) would bring it more in line and it would still be exceptionally good. So thumbs up to that.
  22. Mace is more straight forward without a combo system and would look better with a shield in my opinion. But either are good.
