  7. First Ward is where I learned to HATE confuse. Warden Gorzi in the "Enter The Forlorn Tunnels" mission. Managed to beat him. But he was heavily confused and as he switched, I couldn't affect him anymore and he killed me... 🤬
  8. 😁 The guys on the CO forums thought they were losing it too. It's a simple 2-frame gif. Quite tiny so it doesn't swamp the server or exceed allotted filespace. Slow and simple so it's "messing with you", instead of being big and showy and in your face.

  10. Bah! Tanks shouldn't need DPS! REAL tanks should be happy fighting to an eternal standstill if they aren't able to arrange things so they can take a month and a half (SOLID) to SLOWLY sand off every...last...HP the poor enemy has... And I'm not talking 80 grit! I'm talking 5000 grit!

    Yeah, I did the whole, slather on buttloads of Defense thing, thinking it was going to help me. About the time I hit the RWZ, I saw how squishy I'd been after hitting a small group of Arachnos. They were taking me apart in roughly 30 seconds. So I went in, respec'ed for maximum Resist, while still keeping an ablative Defense layer to break up the alpha strikes. And it impressed me so much I rejiggered all my Resist-based (Fire/Elec) Tanks in a similar manner and realized huge performance gains.
  13. Because racing to L20 means you're going to miss some content. If you're trying to do the "completionist" thing, you're better off selectively locking XP just shy of the content level boundaries. For that, Paragonwiki is your friend.
  14. Then there's me. Who defaults to "When in doubt, TANK IT OUT!" on EVERYTHING. The FOOBAR part of that is, I've actually managed to make it work, more often than not... 😉

  17. Simply because you managed to kill everything doesn't mean your Tank does not suck. 😁
  18. Also because melee ATs tend to be better able to handle the ambush mechanics present in Gold-side content.
  19. This is 10,000% true... FOR EVERY AT IN THE GAME. There's no single AT that is "needed".

    Rad/MA help?

    On Rad, which is primarily a Resist set with ZERO DDR? My advice would be beef up your Resists. If you wind up with a lot of Defense on top of that? Great! Just remember that big debuffs make that go away FAST. So it's great for Tanking Alpha strikes. But just treat it like ablative armor. It gets worn away eventually. High Regen and Recovery make Rad a nice ride too.

  22. The job of a Tank is not hitting people in the face. Or standing there LETTING OTHERS hit THEM in the face. A Tank is, primarily a combat controller. And it does this through its Taunt/aggro generation mechanisms. Not that a Tank CAN'T photo-bomb a villain's "Bust You In The Chops-cam". Not that a Tank CAN'T put a massive hurtin' on their enemies. Not that a Tank can't solo 90% of the content in the game. But that's all GRAVY. You get that as a BONUS for accomplishing your primary mission. And @PyroNugget If you want bigger caps, USE BIGGER CAPS!
