  1. Star Wars shares a concept with Highlander. There can be only one. And this crap ain't it. I'm out.
  2. Honestly, just be up front about your expectations. It saves time and lets you know better if you want in on a prospective team. It's a dick move to join a team and then just bail.
  3. Face it. PC won long ago.
  4. If you're a Tank, that's not a bug. It's a FEATURE.
  5. Yeah. There's multiple phenomena that people lump in as "lag". Latency, frametime (the time that passes between the generation of each frame), jitter (fluctuations in signal or display image), etc. And latency happens almost everywhere. Gets introduced on the graphics side. Gets introduced on the controller side. Gets introduced on the communications/network side. Gets introduced in memory and storage media.
  6. Because work needs to be done to obtain such a build. And following someone's build plan doesn't mean the work wasn't done.. Just not by that particular person It's not simple BS like "Just drop 6 Recharge enhancers in."
  7. You could have just stopped there and said "You're right!" Oh well.
  8. This isn't true and you know it. Yes, from a dumb, raw enhancement perspective. Sure. Emphasis on "dumb" Things like SET bonuses, procs and uniques provide multiple avenues to viable builds.
  9. Basically there are more, diverse ways to optimize a build AFTER DR and ED. It's not just "Slap 3 in and call it done". Screw "The One True Way". Which has to be the laziest way to do anything.
  10. If you define the game by only SOs, sure.
  11. Just did this arc myself not long ago. If you're trying to "save" the Kronos spawn, either sign out or warp out to a zone where it can't appear (O-portal) and then log off. Did it after a ship raid one night and invited friends along. Dropped into FF, went to one of those "galleries" over by the cliffs. Standing there waiting on the spawn. Finally I hear CLOMP, CLOMP, CLOMP, can't see him.... Then I turn around and there Kronos is. Up on the cliff, looking down at me, with the sun at his back... My tiny little tank... *POOP!*
  12. Here's how I went.
  13. Just got my SD/BS Tank to 50. She's a BEAST! Went Musculature/Reactive/Ion to start. She can gut a +1x8 group, while gutting ANOTHER +1x8 group with an Ion strike. Feels downright scrapper-like.
  14. No problem.😁
  15. This pictrure screams "Come on pretty ladies, around the world..."
  16. The rotation's on Warboss' signature.
  17. Possibly, but I'd worry that something like that would fall afoul of anti-cheat protections. I know that CoH doesn't actively use anti-cheat. But I know some platforms use rather....*COUGH*AGGRESSIVELY ZEALOUS*COUGH* anti-cheat environments.

    ice/ice tank

Just seeing this again. Two questions: How'd your Ice/Ice concept work for you? Is that song still stuck in your head like an ice damn in a downspout?

    ice/ice tank

Haven't had much time to play him lately. And he was already REALLY badass in his original form. But here's what I was looking at.
  20. No. That's KNOWING. The other half is 50% red lasers and 50% blue lasers.
  21. The primary problem I see with using speed as a defensive mechanism is this: HOMING BOULDERS ___________________________________________ In short, the way the targeting system works in-game, it's really a pass/fail thing. So if you're in range when the to-hit check goes off, it doesn't matter if you're standing still, or run all the way to the other side of the map. YOU ARE GETTING HIT. Doing it at umpty-bajillion light-years per nanosecond does NOTHING to protect you. So "jousting" is basically you going to Vegas on a $10 budget and playing the dollar machines.
  22. That's okay! Mistakes happen! We'll just make you solo both Hamidons, and every AV in the game simultaneously.... 😁 And you have to use this build! (A) Empty (A) Empty (A) Empty (A) Empty (A) Empty Level 28: Double Jump Level 24: Speed Phase ------------
  23. Take a look at the Inspiron 16 laptop. Large (for a laptop) 16x10 format monitor. 1920x1200 1TB SSD 16GB RAM AMD or Intel. The AMD is running a Ryzen 7 8/16 chip Radeon graphics. 4.6 lbs. Yes, it's a laptop class processor. But 16 threads (not differentiating between Performance/Efficiency cores) is some decent "grunt" for actual "work". And it's under $800. The best-comparable Intel version is $1100.
  24. Okay, I'm a screen real estate junkie. Be forewarned. But there are some definite limits on how high of a resolution you'll want to run on 14-15" screens. If you're plugging into a larger desktop-class monitor or a large format monitor/TV, feel free to ignore. If you're gaming on a 14" screen, you do NOT want to try pushing a 4K display, or even a 1920x1080. The details are simply way too small, resulting in a nearly unplayable experience. With 15", stay below 4K. 1440p is probably all you want to do when gaming on a laptop screen. With my laptop, I basically will use it for maintenance functions in game, but trying to actually mish is an experience in pain and poor control. I didn't realize how bad it'd gotten for me as my main machine was down for a couple months and I was using my laptop with an external monitor. I also rediscovered how much I LOATHE 16x9 as an aspect ratio.
