There is no one way to slot/enhance - that's the beauty of this game. It all depends on the objectives you want to reach for your build. your secondary and pool powers and how you want to slot them, etc. Attached are my 3 DP blasters (/Sonic, /Mental, and /Ninja) and all have different slotting for their powers. ...and these will be completely different from someone else may build/slot. I build mine to Blap and be in the thick of things and they all do it differently. One of them even has Fold Space to bring foes closer in. Hopefully, these will give some ideas for what you can do. How to reorder you characters on the character selection screen
Frozen Burn replied to drakhan2002's topic in Guides
Hi and welcome! That is a bug then. You should be able to drag your character around from slot to slot and page to page. However, there is still hope for you! In your game files... go to your main game folder. Then go to the Accounts folder. You should see a folder with your login name. Inside that folder is a Text Document named "playerslot" and you can open that up and reorder your characters by changing the number behind their name. "0" (zero) is always the first toon in your list. "1" will be the second, and etc.... They are listed in the order you created them, but again, just change the number behind them to the order you want. Sometimes after manually rearranging like this, you can then drag and drop in the character screen. I remember that happening to me ages ago when the game was live. -
Many SGs create their own chat channels, and then eventually invite coalition SGs to it, other players, and etc. So, yes, there are plenty - at least on Torchbearer. I've been invited to SO many I've turned most down because It's already difficult to keep up with the 6 or so I'm already in.

Again, I hear you. I understand your point and why you have your preference. I played the game since it started and before there was quick snipe. And yes, you could attempt to do a long snipe in the middle of combat and you prayed no one would hit you to interrupt you... it happened quite often, really, and you had to start over and over and over until you gave up and had to use other powers because you kept getting interrupted. (Which is why quick Snipe was born.) But yes, long snipe is satisfying. Seeing the animation, seeing the big number, and reaching that foe so very far away. I get it. Unfortunately, there is no changing it, so I was just trying to offer some hope to ease the swallowing of a very bitter pill. 🙂 And about your pet. Whether it's in the back, side, or wherever.... if it is doing anything to any foe... then you lose your long snipe. If you are close enough to foes and even though you or your pet did not initiate combat - and the foes did - you lose your long snipe. As long as you or your pet are attacking or being attacked - you lose you long snipe. (What your teammates do does not matter, unless they pull mobs onto you making them attack you - which that happens often too, so be careful about that.) So, you'll have to hang back even further to ensure your pet sees no one and no one is in aggro range of you or your pet, or your teammates can't drag aggro onto you. Your long snipe has a further range than your pet's and foes' aggro range - so there is no reason you can't at least open combat with it. Again, just have to hang back more. Also again.... sorry this is all news that you didn't want to hear. Just trying to offer a silver lining to it. Good luck!
-
I hear ya. But there is a big difference in DPS waiting for multiple long snipes vs. using many quick snipes and other powers - you get more with quick + other powers vs. many long snipes. Standing back and using long snipe was never efficient. And as mentioned above, quick snipe does do better with more ToHit added into your build. Regarding your pet - even if all it is doing is holds, or debuffing foes.... it is still aggroing. And all pet aggro puts you into combat. No way around that unless you despawn your pet or keep it out of aggro range from upcoming mobs. I know it's not all what you want to hear... but if you embrace it, you'll find you do much better on the whole. 🙂

Thanks for clarifying this. Maybe a short statement in your instructions for anyone else who have them on how to add multiple parameters? ...you know, for n00bs like me? 😀
-
Just want to say.... THANK YOU For the clear instructions on the manual install for this. It worked beautifully and was easy-peasy.... Download, remove old, and adjust the launcher parameter. Something to note that had me worried... I already have a launch parameter in my Launcher - one that allows me to view the Going Rogue welcome screen and music. I wasn't sure how to put in a 2nd parameter. So, I just a comma and space after first and before the second and prayed it would work and it did. But thanks again for all your work on the maps and making this easy for us!

No, quick snipe cannot be turned off. Your teammates will not put you into combat, but your pet(s) will. So, if you want to use your full snipe, you'll have to dismiss your pet and wait the few seconds period (can't remember how long... 4-5 secs?) for your quick snipe to turn to full snipe. However, you most likely will lose DPS this way as you do nothing for several seconds. Within that time, you could be finishing off mobs or whittling bigger ones down more, by using other powers and your quick snipe (and your pet doing damage too!) vs. waiting around for your full snipe. The Devs have really balanced this out to make snipe powers a viable DPS power with quick snipe - this is why it was implemented in the first place. I highly suggest you embrace the quick snipe. But if not, then you'll just have eliminate your pet and stop attacking for a short while. Use your full snipe as the alpha to the next mob.

I have /Devices and /Tactical Arrow. Both are awesome! And I have no issues late game. My /Devices i build for max recharge and Acc/ToHit - she's squishie as hell, but highly deadly. Double gun drones perma - 3 of them when speed boosted, ageless, or etc. My /TA is sturdier and I will solo +4x8 incarnate content with it.

Thanks For The Gift, Can I Give It Back?
Frozen Burn replied to Rudra's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Personally, I too am not a fan of earning patrol XP for explores. I don't mind getting patrol XP in general... I just prefer getting real XP for the explores and wished it was that way again. This is one of the bummers to this patch, but soooooooooooooooo minor. -
wai Radiation Emission: Debuff Toggle Buttons Switch???
Frozen Burn replied to Frozen Burn's topic in Bug Reports
I remember playing my Rad Defender all the way up to shutdown and never having this issue. I always was able to cast the correct power by just looking at the button - and you know you cast the right power as they both have distinctly different animations too. Something happened during Homecoming that the switch happened. It wasn't until recently that I started leveling up my remake of a Rad Corr and Rad Defender that I noticed this. I'm glad they fixed this in the latest release, though. -
Are you talking Oranbega or the blue/purple caves? Oranbega is specific to CoT and if getting rid of that - what do you propose it is replaced with? I think Oranbega is too ingrained to remove and should stay. (And I have no love for CoT). If you mean getting rid of the blue/purple caves - many other missions and enemy types use it as well. Nearly half the Blueside content would have to be updated. And again, to what? The big open Rularuu caves? Boring. And not as many versions. So, more would have to be made. I personally like the tight quarters of the blue/purple caves as it provides a challenge.

I just want the "Mapserver" Zone invasion event with all the crazy mixed up mobs to come back like we did previously! I think it was in 2022? That was a BLAST! 🙂

Hi and welcome to the game and forums! This is such a FUN combo! Love this blaster and it does right well. Below is my build. It was before they changed the levels of when you get your powers, (my T9s are still at 32 and 38) so you'll probably want to change up the order in which you get powers - but it should give you ideas on slotting at least. Have fun! Phantom's Sting - Blaster (Dual Pistols).mbd

What Is The First Thing You Are Going To Do In Issue 27 Page 7?
Frozen Burn replied to dtjunkie's topic in General Discussion
First thing I'll do is read the final patch notes and see what urgent fixes I need to do to my existing toons. Then see what new badges are available and what I have to do get them. Then see what content interests me the most to play first. -
The reason I don't think I'll be playing a villain for long
Frozen Burn replied to temnix's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Many share your sentiments - like me. I don't mind playing there for a bit, but I always need to take a break after a while, There a long thread about CoV / Red-side you should take a look at: -

Anyone know the resistance cap for henchmen? I can't seem to find it.
Frozen Burn replied to Mindrivet's topic in Mastermind
I'm not really sure, but given the wiki goes into great detail about Henchmen HPs and powers, and resistance /defenses aren't listed, I'm guessing it's a standard 75% across the board for all of them. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Henchmen ...But I could be wrong. -
Well, he was never "Praetor." 😛 Primal version, he actually was elected "President of the Rogue Isles" back in 1937 and remained until he was killed in 1963 by an unknown assassin, which Lord Recluse then soon took over the Rogue Isles. [Dramatic mysterious music "Dunt-dunt-dunnnnn...."] (Can find this in Mender Tesseract's arc.) After the Praetoria War and Praetorian Marchand comes to Primal.... He is still "Provost" and yeah, it's odd he retains that title despite Primal Earth not using it - but also no reason he can't retain it either. 🙂 It would be weird to call him "General" or some other rank since he technically holds no official office on Primal Earth, but I guess since he is in charge of leading / guiding all the Praetorians displaced by the war - keeping the title "Provost" primal-side is something familiar for all the new local Praetorians to follow as they get accustomed to living on Primal Earth. 🤷♂️

If you're facing a foe that is resistant to your damage type, then a +Dmg buff doesn't grant you as much as you'd like. Whereas a -Res debuff on them will drop that resistance to that type and all other types. To me, -Res is better in that regard. But clearly, either is good and you ideally want both - whether solo or teamed, it doesn't matter.

Sorry, I would have swore I got credit for them in the past.

Any Signature villains listed here should count count: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Signature_Villains. The wiki page for the badge also has 2 links to groups that count (they may also be in the Signature list, but I have not cross-checked). https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Rogues_Gallery https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Rogue_Isles_Villains All the villains that spawn in safeguards count, the one in MLTF that are trying to do their "respec" mission that we heroes "interupt" - they count. And there are many others arcs with them in it that will award credit.

Mids is easy... just download, install, and build away! https://midsreborn.com/ Vidiotmaps can be easy-peasy through the modder tool, if it works for you - just download, open, select Vidiotmaps, and go. If it doesn't work for you (like it doesn't for me), then a manual install is a little more difficult. I hope there are no new map updates as it's a pain in the arse to manually do.
