These are quite easy to get on any AT with any powersets once you become incarnate. Create the Rebirth Core (+Heal, + Max HP, and T4 is best as it's larger and heal more) Go to Ouro and start any random lvl 50 arc Go to Mercy Island (have to be Vig, Rog, Vill). Right near the START vendor in Mercy on a platform by the helicopter are tons of Arachnos soldiers standing in formation. Stand in the middle of them and put your Rebirth on autofire and walk away, go to bed, whatever. The Ouro arc will keep you from auto-logging. One or two overnight sessions of AFK healing will get you all the badges. Happy healing!!

Connect costume change emotes to the quick keys
Frozen Burn replied to temnix's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
See my post here.... Key binds or macros, as stated above, is your answer. -
This makes no sense. First, KB>KD proc work by turning the power's KB mag to <1 (ie 0.67 and really low mag under 1 KB = KD). So, having more than 1 KB>KD proc in a power or set is pointless. Secondly, we already have a universal damage set that has a KB>KD proc in it. So, your proposal is redundant. I am all for another Universal Damage set that has other set bonuses and a different proc, though. As for Sudden Acceleration proc - I don't think it should be a dual proc. And there aren't many, if any, out there. So, I doubt the Devs would go for it either.

Correct. You can fly horizontally for practically forever. But there is a ceiling and floor to the space. If you click on my second pic, above the top island, there is what looks like a smudge in the photo - it's actually a floating stargate that has a plane flying through it. That is where the ceiling is and a toon can't go any higher, but you can still place objects above it. The bottom island - the bottom 1/3 of it is actually below the floor of the zone. So, you can build below it, but you cannot access it. You can actually turn off fly and run around on the invisible floor. 🙂 And I did also make some caves, grottos, and hidden areas within those rocks and the city. So, totally doable! Have fun!

You cannot build horizontally past the plot of of the base. Every item must attach to the plot's vertical space somehow. Like, you can attach a corner of a huge rock to the edge of your plot and have it extend outward, but you cannot place anything on that outward edge of the rock. As an example, here is a pic of my base.... you can roughly see the max plot size where the city is and the lock running through it. All the water and rocks on the outer edge are attached to the edge of the plot, but I can't place anything in the water or on those rock because those portions are not above or below the plot lines. However, you can see in the upper right corner, an island I have floating above it which is over the plot. I also have several islands floating under the main island all the way down to the invisible floor of the space. (You can see that in the second pic of all my isles. all are above or below the plot.) I hope this helps? Base code: STA-8822 (Torchbearer)

If you're going by that logic, then sure... you can't get what is unavailable because you don't have it. haha.

This is my FF/Water/Energy Defender. Very tanky. Designed to give max def to others, hence taking grant invis. But as states above, FF is not really for AV killing. EBs, sure, no problem. But not an AV killer without lots of helps from temps, lores, and other summoned pets. Moscato Rose - Defender (Force Field).mbd

This would not be that hard to get once you get whatever other difficult badges there are. I and many others have all the badges in the game. And every time they issue new ones, we work to get those as well. If this badge was a thing, many of us would automatically get it. So, it wouldn't really be a hard badge to get. And as mentioned by @Voltor, when new badges are issued, it would have to grey out until we got all others, then it would return.

Bases are are on a completely different server than the zone and AH. There is no way to port it over and have it be "live."
-
I did think you were hallucinating. Which is why i was so persistent. But given Etched's response, apparently there was a change that I missed or something is broken in my base as I cannot pass through my ceiling even with the open sky. I will have to play with it when I get back from travelling. So, my sincerest apologies for any aggravation. But being Snarky, you may not care. 😄 And with Room clipping (F3) "Enabled" you should be able to place anything practically anywhere using F5 to pick your anchor point. Also, use F1 to narrow the grid size to fine tune your where it is placed. Thank you for this. I tinker in bases a lot too. However, I must have missed the patch note of the new pass-through ceiling addition. My open sky still has a ceiling. I will have to tinker with my base whenever I get back home from travelling.
-
So, please explain how you've hacked the base system to defy the invisible ceiling barrier. Because, I'd like that for my own base. 🙂 Everything you describe is impossible. So, you're either lying or misunderstanding / mistaken on something. I would like to think it's the latter. And I'm just trying to help, as well as keep things clear for others who may stumble on this thread with the same issue you had.
-
Then you must be in editor mode. There is no way to be inside the "box" base and go through the sky ceiling unless you are in editor mode.
-
Yes. Just start placing surfaces and objects. Again, use F5 to cycle through what you want to attach the object to. And all object have to be attached to your plot somehow. So, you can't place anything way off to the side.
-
Okay, good. So, you moved your portal outside the base then.... or made a teleport point to go there. 👍
-
@Snarky Removing the ceiling will not allow you to fly up out of the "box." There is still an invisible ceiling there to the sky. While in edit mode, you can fly up through, but in normal base visiting mode, you cannot. There is no way around this, unfortunately. To truly fly up as high as you want, well, until the zone ceiling anyway - you have to build outside the base. So, you may need to move your entry portal outside so that when you zone in, you can just fly as high as you want. Then, if you need to go inside, you'll have to use a teleport point (Aleph, Beth, Gimel, etc). Or vice versa with entry portal inside and teleport point on the outside. There is no passing through that invisible ceiling barrier, unfortunately. To place objects through walls, your "invisible" ceiling in your "sky" room... click F3 and "Enable" Room clipping. (Also found in Options Menu.) Then also cycle through hitting F5 to anchor to wall, floor, ceiling, object, etc. Don't forget you can also change the grid snap size with F1 and the angle that you rotate things with F2. (Also found in options menu.) This here is a VERY useful thread....

We are already taking both paths.... The shard / Notice of the Well components are the "slow" path - part of the reason you get 1 shard at the end of Ramiel's arc. Depsite getting your Alpha unlocked, it takes forever to get enough shards or run all the appropriate content for shard component rewards to even build out your Alpha. The threads, astrals, empyreans are clearly the "fast" path. And it seems to be the way to go since only Alpha can accept Shard components. I am all for more story content about dealing with the Well as we grow our incarnate abilities, but we still need the the other Incarnate abilities unlocked as well: Genesis, Stance, Vitae, and Omega. But becoming more powerful with these, also requires more difficult content, otherwise the game gets too easy. Some say it already is. So, perhaps with the new content the Devs are working on, these new Incarnate abilities will be unlocked. And perhaps there can be a story arc that includes dealing with the Well as well. (see what I did there?) 😄

Loyalist <-> Resistance ... switching alignments EVERY TIME for Praetorians
Frozen Burn replied to Redlynne's topic in Guides
You have to be lvl 20 to get the mission that will let you leave. As soon as you train to 20, you'll get the mission prompt. -
@Oklahoman In TPN there has never been a requirement or badge for clicking all 4 terminals simultaneously. But it is possible to get ejected from the building without clicking all of them. Just make sure that doesn't happen by moving the mobs away from terminals as fast as possible (fold space, pull, etc to defeat them elsewhere) so you can eliminate the single terminal guy and click the terminal as fast as you can. The only iTrial that has something that DOES require simultaneous clicking for a badge is Dilemma Diabolique with the spires, but even then, you still don't have to. There is a rather large window of opportunity to still get the badge in DD without simultaneously clicking them. As the league works on the 1st spire, a few individuals go ahead of the league and removes the mob around the next spire, and then ignores the spire and just moves onto the 3rd, 4th spires. The league just follows along behind only dealing with the spire (and hopefully no one draws aggro from additional mobs causing the spire to be unaffected again), until all 4 spires are down. You'll still see "badge challenge failed" flash across the screen, but at the end after the 4th spire, you'll then see "badge challenge successful / complete the trial to earn" (or something like that) flash on across your screen noting you earned it. (I am guessing this has something to also do with the "no simultaneous clicking" rule applied across all content - I do not know for sure.) But if you do take too long, of course, you will fail. We do this all the time successfully on Torch.

AR is the "master of cones" blast set. So you most likely will want to take something that will synergize with that and let you stay more at range to use those cones more effectively. /Elec and /Plant are more Blapper'ish than suited to range playstyle. /Energy would be the best pick out of your three and synergizes really well with AR. It's a classic combo that doesn't go wrong and you have heavy hitting melee attacks for those time you get bum-rushed by mobs (and you will). The boosts are great too - boost range is really great for cones and allows to potentially get the max # of targets for those times the mobs are spread out. And a boosted range sipe - it's insane! 🙂 Others to consider that synergize well with AR: /Tactical Arrow (as mentioned above) - has lots of great control and debuff /Devices - another classic secondary for AR that gives you a lot of utility and extra damage - with enough recharge you can have 2 gun drones perma and they have a taunt effect to distract those pesky mobs coming into melee range of you.

Generally, the simpler ones are the best ones! Great job!

Ambrosia inspiration doesn't work on the Eden trial
Frozen Burn replied to Dev7on's topic in Bug Reports
Yes, it's a shame that this trial is the way it is. I love it and wished it was more and could not be sped-run. Then maybe it would be worth more merits and more attractive to people to run it. I remember early on live running this a lot. It was worth a decent amount of merits and nearly took the full 90 mins to complete until someone found holes in the walls to TP through. Then it was non-stop speed-throughs and when the devs went checking completion times, they nerfed the merits. I think it was to 9 initially, and then a 2nd nerf happened to 7 merits, which it is now. When they made the trial stop ex'ing you down to lvl 41 (you could then run at lvl 50), there was even a bug/exploit where the team could be lvl 50 but somehow the critters inside the mission were lvl 41. I think that eventually got fixed allowing critters inside to spawn at the appropriate team lvl now. But this didn't help improve the trial any. But, holes got plugged, we got stronger with incarnates, the GMs/spawns attacking you during wall fights became laughable and ignored, and people only ran the trial for the badge - which is rarely. Still holds true now. I don't think the auto hit of unique damage is any factor at all in people not wanting to run it. There are ways around it - like the run I was on the other day... we didn't use a single Ambrosia. We had a mind Dom perma confuse the Titan and we didn't take a single hit and dropped the Titan in seconds. Clever, but disappointing as I like challenges and this wasn't a challenge. Unfortunately, the mechanics of the entire trial is not challenging enough, making the corresponding reward low - and thusly, no one is interested in either so it's not run. You'd think an easy Titan-O would be reward enough to pull people to farm them in this easy trial, but nope. My team was lvl 50 and I got a lvl 48 Titan-O at end. So, that is still an issue too. -
Ambrosia inspiration doesn't work on the Eden trial
Frozen Burn replied to Dev7on's topic in Bug Reports
Ambrosia never stopped all damage from coming in. It only prevented the Titan from one-shotting you. You still need to use other inspirations, buffs, and debuffs. And squishier toons always needed to out of range of the foot stomp due to lower HP caps despite Ambrosia being up - if these means flying, then so be it. But generally, the melee ATs can handle it - Tanks and Brutes more so due to more HPs - but they still need heals and regular insps on top of Ambrosia. This has always been the case even back on live. -
@Story Archer, I agree with @Parabola. However, I would suggest adding in the Lockdown +Mag Hold proc. This can be wonderful for critical holds on bosses. Then if 2 or three of you are overlapped, you'll probably hold EBs critically as well. And using Char from all 3 of you, the proc can only help you in potentially holding AVs as well.

Character Concept comes first - if I don't like the character, I'll never play it. I will take powers that some will deem meh, or not very good, if it fits the toon's concept I will maximize the build AFTER conceptual considerations are met first, and eke out every ounce of awesomeness it can give with whatever inherent flaws comes from the concept. NO 2x XP buffs - I avoid these as XP already comes really fast and I like the journey and progression a character goes through - but I do get all my P2W/START freebie temp powers + the self rez. I avoid DFBs 99.5% of the time Whether Hero, Villain, or Praetorian, I will solo story arcs or team with SG-mates if they are online. Will team for TFs/SFs/Trials and try to do them when level appropriate, if possible. Will vary the story arcs from character to character depending on the toon's concept, background, and what fits with their own personal story/journey. Again, it's all about the character's journey, for me.
