  1. They would probably have to add a version that doesn't have the extra effects, since it is "baked in" to the proc. Still, I'd be for this...
  2. They may be looking at it from a different perspective, i.e. if 10% gets through at 40% def, and only 5% gets through at 45% def, then, in a sense, you have halved that amount of damage that can get through.
  3. If they were to implement some sort of "fantasy" primary set, with minions using swords, shields, staves, etc, AND they built it from the ground-up to permit some pet customization, a "weapon only" option could cover multiple concepts...
  4. Below are the options available to us:
  5. Are you going to take fly at all? If so, and unless you were looking to delve further into the flight pool, I tend to prefer CJ for it's lower end cost and immob protection.
  6. I have a beast mastery/thermal radiation mastermind named "Cooke D. Animals"
  7. Granted, but even then, it's only versus the 2 most common & mundane damage types...
  8. Most of the pools, AFAIK, were implemented before IOs, so the notion of stacking so much defense was probably not on the devs' minds at that time. I also imagine, at least from a conceptual basis, being a little better at avoiding getting hit is probably easier to attain than being better able to take a hit, especially once we get into the more exotic damage types. I also believe that the majority of armor powers among PPPs/APPs are resistance based, instead of providing defense.
  9. Even if we just spawned at the foot of the ramp, instead of inside the helicopter, would help immensely!
  10. I could see it getting some sort of "normal" component added, in addition to the KB->KD, sort of like how the LotG +global recharge also still provides some buff to defense. Maybe a bit of damage or recharge.
  11. I think Goblin Slayer put it best: "Imagination is a weapon. Those who lack it are first to die".
  12. That's why they're marked down; the "deadly assault weapons" and the appropriate ammo cost full price...
  13. I don't think hide should be an auto power, for purposes of escort missions, as previously mentioned. I don't think it should be made an inherent power, either, as stalkers already have some good inherent abilities and don't need more help.
  14. Hulk doesn't lift - He pushes the rest of the planet further down below him.
  15. Same holds true for the various chat channel buttons above the chat typing area.
  16. I have a very support-oriented earth/pain/stone controller - slow-going solo, but very fun to play while teamed. You have a great variety of buffs and debuffs to work with, and it's quite amusing to turn your animated stone into a painbringer with enforced morale!
  17. Doom simply had an accredited Latverian university give him a doctorate, due to his benevolence and immense intellect!
  18. Depending upon your level of patience, the weapon mastery ancillary power pool offers a few shuriken attacks to both scrappers and stalkers. If you go with a scrapper, their version of ninjitsu also includes a nice +end power, (though you forego physical perfection from the APP but get caltrops instead). If you wanted to extend your imagination a bit, go with something like a claws/ninjitsu scrapper, so you can get a few additional ranged attacks to boot...
  19. And now that you mention it, I don't think Black Widow was ever married, nor is Hawkeye a bird at all!
  20. And I pointed out how that was due to different circumstances; Those sets had *no* mitigation to certain damage types, which is not the case for Willpower.
  21. Apples to oranges; The notion of sets having "holes" has all but been done away with; A set can still be weaker in some areas, but generally not completely lacking. Early sets like invuln originally lacked any psi resist at all, and I don't think any sets had any protection from toxic when the game launched.
  22. I can't point to a specific source, but you can get a pretty good idea by looking at armor sets, like SR, that have click mez protection and comparing their duration with the amount of slotting required to make it permanent. Couple that with the amount of slots we're given by 50 and how IO sets typically include "other" attributes that one wouldn't usually slot for, if they only had SOs, which can do more with those same slots, but still reach the point of steep ED diminishing returns.
  23. My opinion is skewed, because my rad/savage/leviathan sharkman, "Megalo Don", is my most fun tanker to play! Ugh! I just realized I have 2 versions of him! One's a bio/savage/leviathan and the other is rad/savage/soul! Can I vote for both combinations? 😝
  24. I haven't bothered to check, but I wonder if the Blu-Ray has any decent deleted/cut content. If so, a good fan edit could really improve things - i.e. less Ezra Miller 🤪
  25. No time for Cyberpunk... too busy playing CoH!!!!
