  1. Setting other player names so they're only shown when selected or on mouse-over helps a bit as well; The GUI actually takes a pretty hefty toll on performance in these large events. I also tend to turn down particle or PHYS-X effects.
  2. I hear a complaint, but not a suggestion at a solution. What is your specific proposal? More range? Lower endurance cost? I mean, those are really the only 2 aspects of teleportation. Maybe increase the temporary "hang time" between ports? **shrugs**
  3. I also think such a setting should apply to pool powers if you set the color to apply to the entire set, but haven't taken one of the powers yet.
  4. This is "The Lithe Spectre" - She gained superhuman agility & grace from "The Laurel of Athena" and is able to conjure dark and murky ichor thanks to a "Crown of Hades", (Dark/SR Sentinel). While I like the current costumes she has, (heavier armored and more formal/dressier versions below), I am trying to come up with something more elegant. The only requirements are the laurel and crown. Thanks for your consideration!
  5. The T1s may need more attacks. What do you foresee the MMs own attacks looking like? Energy damage?
  6. I could see them as map-appropriate interactable objects, like maybe small treasure stashes in Orenbega or some sort of altars that you can "offer tribute" to in the form of some inf for inspirations. Maybe just have a "traitor" from the enemy group you're facing off against that will sell you inspirations for inf, somewhere in the map...
  7. Well, reanimated dead, anyway. I mean, the general trend of Incarnate lores is tougher attacker, weaker attacker, and utility/healing/buffing/debuffing. It would be cool to have the devs hold a contest to have players submit 3 costumes that fit with a common lore theme along those lines...
  8. Also - both Nova and Dwarf forms completely replace your character model with a different one, so if your costume & look are important to you, you may want to skip them or only use them in limited ways.
  9. I really like Kheldians, but depending upon how you want to play them, and a general shortage of power slots that they can run up against, you'll want to think about what your priorities are. Nova form is basically a "glass cannon" ranged damage dealer, Dwarf form is your tanker, and both of these forms don't have full access to all your other powers while you're in them. It's a matter of weighing what each form has to offer and how those powers measure up against the concept you have for how the character and how they will play-out in game...
  10. Before you get too invested in a warshade, please consider whether you are going to go with a human-only, 2-form, or tri-form type of character, as that will heavily influence the direction of said character...
  11. But if the character is supposed to be based off of Axel Foley from Beverly Hills Cop, it'd be quite the stretch to say he'd have time manipulation, dark, or plant/fungus powers...
  12. If you're trying to keep things more "mundane", then maybe traps...
  13. Just as an example, one of the Carnie lores is a seneschal, which is basically a fire-breathing performer, but the lore version has thermal radiation powers instead, so the precedent for heavily modifying existing enemies is there...
  14. It shouldn't be that difficult to modify the existing Vahzilok enemies, but either way, it doesn't need to be an either-or scenario... we could have both.
  15. It'd be interesting if they added Vahzilok lores - you could have an abomination, mortificator, and a luminous eidolon as the buffer/healer, (all buffed to the appropriate level). Another idea, which may be controversial, would be either 5th Column or Council, (probably the latter) - you could have a warwolf, a vampyri, and maybe a buffing ascendant, galaxy, or zenith. I also think a Sky Raider lore would be great - you could have a captain, engineer, and a jumpbot.
  16. I play blasters almost exclusively as ranged damaged dealers, generally opting for secondaries that support that playstyle. After reading a bit about the idea of a speedster here, I got this idea in my head about a rad blast/martial combat blaster that would focus mainly on melee. Now, I've played my fair share of melee characters, but how would this type of character fair? If I included some powers from the fighting pool, and perhaps cj/acro into the build, would/could I be effective? Thank you for your input & advice!
  17. My assumption is they'd probably disable small insps and ones they didn't want, enable the team or dual ones, then "profit".
  18. I got my latest "project" to 50 recently - a dark blast/super reflexes sentinel. Between the enduring power's extra recovery and master brawler giving absorb, it's a very solid set. Couple that with dark blast's self heal and it is surprisingly tanky. My only criticism of the combination is that the damage feels a little low, compared to other sets I've tried on sentinels. Still, the utility of this combination cannot be discounted, and with the inclusion of some powers from the fire mastery APP, I have some decent control as well.
  19. From an effectiveness standpoint, I wonder if a rad/martial blaster may work better.
  20. I'd be for this, with the caveat that you couldn't sell those inspirations, since many sell for a lot of influence, thereby negating the "penalty", especially if you could couple it with the ability to enabled or disable certain inspirations.
  21. I'd go with an electrical blast/martial combat blaster. Focus on the secondary, and treat the electric blasts as you discharging built up static electricity. The big powers would be reach for the limit, burst of speed, reaction time, and inner will. I'd even dip into something like the fighting pool or maybe experimentation for speed of sound, and maybe adrenal booster if you can fit it. You could also delve into the leaping pool for extra immobilization protection, knockback protection, hold protection, and spring attack would also be neat.
  22. Maybe what is needed is a small section to be made into a "legitimate" front for the Carnies, who appear in more traditional circus garb, but when approached/aggro'd, will switch to their regular attire, then it could play into the mystique surrounding them...
  23. I'm not in favor of this. Champions Online implemented vehicles, with slottable powers and everything, and it's a huge waste of resources. I would much rather see more jetpacks and alternative rocket boots added, (perhaps verging on ones with magical effects), or for that matter, a new category of "travel power auras" that enhance what we already have available...
  24. It's always a point of contention - to what degree does your ability to play however you want need to defer to the needs/wants of your teammates? On a side note - I really like some of the energy blast animations - maybe we could get some, (animation times permitting), ported over to other sets, perhaps?
  25. Meh - you knock it, you chase it. If I am leading a team, and someone starts knocking enemies all over the place, that's on them. If they can manage their knockback intelligently, then more power to them. Bonus points if they can knock enemies into more advantageous positions. If I am on someone else's team, I'll generally try to roll with whatever the team is doing, and if things become too distasteful for me, I'll politely excuse myself after the mission...
