Instead of "combat fitness", maybe make it "combat stim" or something, and treat it like savage assault's blood craze, or maybe adapt inner will from martial combat. Also, martial assault has MA attacks, so maybe broadsword or street justice attacks instead?

Design an enemy group (Speculation/ Wish fulfillment)
biostem replied to Billbailey96's topic in General Discussion
I'd love to see something akin to an extension of the Outcasts, only higher level and better organized. Basically, something like The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. 1. I'd say from about level 25-50. 2. A better organized mutant group. 3. They'd be of the typical "society looks down on us, so now we're gonna show them what we can really do" underlying philosophy. I think they could exist on both sides. 4. Mostly from 25 on, (though probably not in more heavily magical zones). Oher notes: They'd wear jumpsuits sharing a common color scheme, but with some custom elements to reflect the types of powers they wield. I'd really like them to take full advantage of the newer powersets, such as water, storm, seismic blasts, and incendiary, elec control, and maybe even some support powers, like marine or time. They could have more direct ties to the Outcasts, but that isn't necessary... -

I'm looking for some suggestions or different takes on the below design for "Psilvia", my elec/psi stalker. It's not that I dislike the design, it's just that I seem to be rehashing similar design elements, and I'd appreciate someone else's input. Really, my only "must have" is that Psilvia is a mutant, so she shouldn't be wearing any high tech or magic armor... more like plain clothes or some sort of uniform/jumpsuit...

Hey! He just wanted his machete back... EDIT: And only just now did I realize this is a 4 year-old post. Feel free to delete if needed...

CoH is odd in that it can, under certain circumstances, be very resource hungry, even on modern systems. It may seem counterintuitive, but try reducing the particle count and maximum draw distance a little. Also disable things like always showing other players' names, as GUI elements seem to be particularly demanding. Yes, I know this doesn't seem logical for a 20+ year old game, but that's been my experience...

Keeping with my recent Fallout-inspired trend, I present the result of a few experimental serums - "Tesla Chic"

While your idea is interesting, I don't think we need more specialty power systems...

I wonder if, maybe, they could just adjust the TF auto-logout timer to last only 2-4 hours or so, then; Surely if you cannot manage to return in that window, then whatever is going on IRL is important enough that you should be logged out, anyway...
-
Well, I was more specifically talking about someone who's parked themselves by a trainer or in a heavily traveled area, with a power on autofire. Frankly, the area around AE portals could be ignored/exempted as far as I'm concerned...

My personal take; If the server gets to the point where there is a queue to login, then I'd say start cracking down on the AFK-ers. Yes, the server population got into the red this weekend, and GMs warned not to multi-box, but we never got to the queuing phase. That being said, I am also of a mind that going AFK for long periods of time, especially if you're exploiting the TF mechanic to avoid the auto-logout feature, is bad form, (doubly so if you also set a power to auto-fire). Heck, I'd even be in favor of treating people who AFK and set powers to autofire in frequented areas as harassing or as some other violation, (especially if they've gotten tells or other such warnings to turn off the autofire power)...

Hypothetically, if at some point, they manage to implement MM pet customization, some sort of generic "high-fantasy" set could encompass many of those concepts...

Sinister w/ plates. IIRC.

Well, if I had my 'drothers, I'd do: T1. MA/SR Scrapper, Nin/Nin Stalker, StJ/WP Scrapper T2. Emp/Water Defender & Grav/Kin Controller T3. Invuln/SS Tanker
-
I'd love a generic "superteam" MM set; Have your T1's be the more scrappy types, the T2's the ranged support, and the T3 a tanker, with energy blasts and a sort of pet-only "assemble the team" that insta-ports all your pets right to you and gives them a short buff.

Combining 2 of my favorite games, I present to you a Vault-Tec scientist that may or may not have tested a few highly experimental concoctions on herself, some of which may or may not have involved alien technology, only to awaken in Paragon City one day... Now going by the moniker, "The Sparkwright":

Here's another stab at it, trying to get a bit closer to the original image, (I had to cheat the ears, though): green catgirl mk08.costume

One "hack" I've taken to using is to go with the "Zombie Thin" hands - they have distinct nails AND can take a skin pattern... green catgirl mk06.costume

I couldn't quite get it perfect, but I think this is a pretty close start: green catgirl mk02.costume

Great design, and an inspired use of the new pieces to represent scales. Love it!

There's mask options then there's head/face options. It's one of the mask options, along with the little captain america wings or the little "saturn" loops/rings on the head... EDIT: Here's a screenshot, for reference:

What @TygerDarkstorm said; Full masks, head option 1, "antennae".
