What if their digestion is just so efficient that they extract all usable nutrients and violently expel what remains... which would be most of it, in the case of Taco Bell...
-
Yeah - I similarly put a touch of lady grey damage proc in my rad armor's taunt aura, for a bit of damage, but I can certainly see why someone may not want that...

Hey! At least they didn't accuse you of being a streetwalker...

Don't pass over radiation armor - tons of end there, and it kind of fits with anything pertaining to "radioactive ore" or the like...

Can someone explain Enhancement Diversification to me here?
biostem replied to Black Gryphon's topic in General Discussion
This link also gives a good breakdown. To put it as simply as possible, (and using rough numbers here), but once you get to where you can slot Single-Origin Enhancements, (SOs), you get full benefit from the 1st two of the same type, slightly less value for the 3rd of that same type you slot in the same power, and much less from any after that, (again, of the same type and in the same power). It's gets a little more complicated once you are talking about Invention-Origin enhancements, (IOs), but if you look at the value should you try to slot the 3rd+ of an enhancement, note the % benefit listed, (before placing said enhancement), and compare it to what's listed on the enhancement itself... -
I got my elec/rad brute to 50 a short time ago, and have been running TFs or regular missions to get them through the incarnate stuff and and fund the process of "IO-ing them up". I find it to be a great combination, with near limitless energy and that extra layer of absorption...

Avengers: Doomsday - Full Cast Announcement
biostem replied to ZacKing's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
I mean, it isn't out of the realm of possibility that all these actors/characters coming back will either be "extended cameos", or only appear for some final rallying cry in the 3rd act, a la End Game's final battle... -
I wonder if they could use an effect similar to the stone crystal options as well. Heck, if they just added glowing options, it'd go a long way to accomplishing this look...

What would you do if you were a DEV?! (Fun Ideas Talks)
biostem replied to SSR's topic in General Discussion
If we're talking "sky's the limit", then MM pet customization. If we're talking something a little more realistic, at least maybe 1 new MM primary that utilizes existing assets. Finally, if we're talking something even more doable, I'd say "travel power auras" for costumes. -
What if, instead of a new enhancement slot, you could instead tag an existing slot, which would increase the effectiveness of that enhancement, (perhaps only working for actual stat increases instead of procs, since those would open a whole 'nother bag of worms)?

TBH, given the fewer number of single-pistol animations, I think this would be the best route to take. It'd also allow existing characters to gain access to such powers...

It's the difference of mindsets; Some view "playing the game" as the reward in-and-of-itself. Others chase the dopamine hit of the level-up flourish and yet another digit added to their (veteran) level. I'm not going to make an absolute statement that one is better than the other under all circumstances, but the former does foster what I would call a "healthier playstyle"...

IMHO, that's the T4 version of your Alpha - it takes a bit more to attain than the T3 ones, and while it may not require reaching Vet level 100, it's still a demonstration of sufficient attachment to that character...

Do you mean like there would be temp powers from the START vendor for each of the various weapon models that exist in-game, or do you mean, for instance, that you take the katana temp power, and now you can select to display and/or customize if and how that katana appears on your character model, like as if you had the katana power set?
-
I'm not arguing against the point, but I think it's a bit different when you're potentially paying for each account vs using F2P ones. Yes, I know CoH did go F2P toward its end, but there were still powersets or other such "premium content" that still cost money...

Forum Moderation - give me suggestions and feedback
biostem replied to GM_GooglyMoogly's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The problem is compounded when, for instance, a thumbs down doesn't tell you whether the responder disagrees with an entire post, certain aspects of the post, or has a more nuanced take on what someone else posted. If we're talking specifically about threads created to test something on the beta or other such test server, maybe they could implement some sort of feature that checks if you've actually gone to and created a character with the requisite set(s) before allowing others to post in that specific thread/subsection, but that could be more trouble than it's worth... -

I think you are confusing "feedback" with "sycophancy".... -
Please make MM upgrade powers passive
biostem replied to Col. Kernel's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Sure it does; One method actually requires you utilize your secondary; "As intended", so to speak. The second approach essentially ignores your secondary, and with the pet powers having been buffed to only having a recharge time of a few seconds, this is imminently attainable without significant sacrifice, especially since, IIRC, various pet IO sets already include recharge... -
Please make MM upgrade powers passive
biostem replied to Col. Kernel's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Except some builds already do this, but in general, +4/x8 should require 8 people. After all, that's what the whole "x8" part of that descriptor represents... -
Can we instead get an accolade for arguing on the forums?

Welcome back! Now get out there and fight, (or commit), some virtual crimes!

There are some weapons already available via START. Are you looking to be able to take these powers then have them as part of that character's costume, or just to add more temporary weapon-based powers?
-
I'd be happy if they could just mark glowies on your minimap, provided you get close enough or one passes within your LoS...

There should be a way to take away levels....
biostem replied to SirBronco's topic in General Discussion
It took me a while to actually delve into the Incarnate system, and while it is indeed cumbersome, once you get the hang of it, it isn't that bad. Do you have any interest in learning about it? Now that I understand it, I find it to be a great way to continue that character's advancement, plus you can basically swap-out the abilities as you desire, (out of combat, of course).
