  1. This either of the below links, hopefully they can help you out... https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Launch:_Jumping_Speed/Increased_Jump_Height https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=boosts.crafted_launch_d.crafted_launch_d
  2. Try a war mace/ninjitsu scrapper.
  3. I just find it annoying how some "Destroy X" missions make you interact with said object(s), while others are simply targetable and can be more easily taken out...
  4. Great look! I really wish we could change the secondary color on those big gloves!
  5. My understanding is that some systems use a process of tinting a base power while others wholly apply the selected color to some power effect/geometry, which is why certain colors look weird when applied to a character's face with skin vs one that is cloth/metal/other material...
  6. That'd probably work better!
  7. I think you're reading too much realism into the idea; Imagine your character briefly carries out the "dig with shovel" animation, the flat hole graphic and some sandbags appear, and then for a short time afterward, standing in that zone provides the buff(s). I mean, consider that our characters can call forth meteorites whilst indoors without totally destroying the building...
  8. I imagine that the foxhole would simply be a generic flat hole graphic, surrounded by some mounds of dirt and/or sandbags, no need to actually dig a hole down into the terrain.
  9. This is basically a soldier/military-themed secondary for blasters. Many of the powers would utilize an AR model. With that in mind, here's my proposed set: 1. Pin-down: You fire a few shots from your assault rifle, with the intention of restricting your enemy's movement. Deals minor lethal damage, slows the target's movement, and can even bring down flyers, perhaps also debuffing the target's defense. 2. Razor-wire: You lay down a coil of razor wire, which deals minor lethal DoT, severely slows the movement of any enemies attempting to cross the line, and reduces their damage resistance. 3. Rifle butt: Deals moderate smashing damage, disorients the target, and even has a small chance of knocking them down. 4. Site-in: Generic +tohit, +dmg attack, only with a slightly longer +perception buff. 5. Foxhole: You hastily construct a defensive structure, which provides some defense, damage resistance, and a bit of knockback protection, while you remain in it. 6. Combat armor: Provides some defense to ranged and AoE damage, recovery, and absorb. 7. Auto-mortar: Somewhat similar to acid mortar, except deals some smashing and fire damage instead, with a chance to knock down targets. 8. Minefield: Somewhat similar to the trip mine power from devices, only spread across a larger area, with each mine having its own proximity, (each dealing less damage). 9. Artillery strike: You call in an artillery strike which, after a short delay, deals heavy smashing and fire damage in the targeted location, with a chance of knocking back any targets hit.
  10. I wonder what capabilities the devs have to adjust the heights of existing mobs - I mean, there does seem to be some variability among them, but never extremely short or tall. It is annoying when fighting some groups, like DE, where even their weakest minion-class enemies tower over a max-height character. Partly comical, but maybe 8' is the new 6'? 😛
  11. Force field can work nicely, and force bolt kind of looks like a hadoken and force bomb is kind of like a spirit bomb, if you want to go with a more mystical/ki theme...
  12. I have a dual pistols/ninjitsu sentinel named "The Umbral Hawk", who is an homage to "The Shadow".
  13. It's a matter of perspective - compare the XP gained vs you doing 100% of the damage, which is the norm. Having a confused enemy deal some damage is actually the outlier...
  14. A better solution would be to basically replace the target with a permanent "pet" - basically just copy the enemy but make them allied to the player, and treat any damage they deal as yours, like a regular pet.
  15. I think the problem with mind control is that it tries to combine telepathy with telekinesis. I think the 2 should be separated, with levitate and telekinesis going into their own set, and being replaced with something appropriate, like maybe some sort of "psychic wounds" or "hypnotic suggestion", "erase presence", or even a version of link minds. Besides that, I don't so much mind the confusion powers, (though I think confuse should be a toggle that while maintained, turns the target into a temporary ally).
  16. Four words: Gameplay and story segregation.
  17. If you're good with computers, buying something used, (but in good condition), can save you a ton of money. Even using an expensive gaming laptop, though, I've found the experience to be somewhat lacking, and prefer gaming on a desktop. Of course, depending upon your available space or other extenuating circumstances, if a laptop is your only choice, then you do what you gotta. My current go-to is off-lease business desktops, (mini- to mid-towers, NOT SFFs), then adding more RAM and/or a graphics card for gaming. Just be sure to check the available space and power supply output vs the additional power consumption said card will impose!
  18. TBH, until there's some major breakthrough in battery technology or some sort of ubiquitous wireless power transmission system implemented, any sort of robot is going to be rather limited in its operational range or have to deal with some sort of tether or umbilical.
  19. The topic of in-universe monetary wealth is never really addressed in-game, and I think that's where Hero Corps would really fit in. With as creative as we can be with our characters, they never have to worry about making rent or finding their next meal. There's also no notion of factional allegiances, beyond being a hero, villain, or Praetorian, (and even then, you can generally move between hero and villain on-demand). I suppose they could add some Hero Corps arcs that reward a lot of inf, but you lose some of your character's autonomy in some way - like maybe locking you out of some other content. Perhaps the police radio gets replaced with a Hero Corps job board, and while you get increased inf from doing them, you get reduced inf from all other sources or something.
  20. Barring odd power emanation points, like the assault bot's shoulder missile racks, if, and this is a huge "if", they can nail down pet customization, so many different concepts could be realized in-game. And before anyone chimes in about "oh but people would just create female minions to abuse them", that behavior is already against the ToS/RoC, so if someone did such a thing, report them and move on...
  21. A few more I've done recently: Energy/Invul Sentinel "The Smolt Bolt": Katana/Ninjitsu Scrapper "The Covert Cutter":
  22. You would basically have to recode all the powers to include options using different animations. I don't have the numbers offhand, but does the animation time for M30 grenade match that of the hand-thrown varieties? When you say "offhand flamethrower", do you mean that your character would lower the AR while still holding it in one hand, then fire a flamethrower in the other, or just switch to it?
  23. The only issue is that purchased temp powers are kind of hard-baked with their colors and such. The quickest route, IMO, would be to offer pre-built variants, like a blue hover disc, a red one, and so on, all as separate powers. Also, (and this may be a contentious topic), but such purchasable temp powers are not intended to be as intrinsic a component of your character as their primary, secondary, pools, and/or APP/PPP - they are external items, at least, that's my interpretation...
  24. Ever see the Andromeda TV series? There was an episode or possibly a mini-arc, where the captain of a ship, (which all have AI and associated avatars), fell in love with said AI, (or was it the other way around)? I'm also thinking of the 2009 film "Moon" where the AI robot did serve as a companion, but also
  25. I think keeping "Player-submitted villain groups for radio missions" separate from your "AE 2.0" is a better way to go. What about doing something like utilizing the various police call boxes found in many zones for this purpose. I feel like we may get to the point where the number of new contacts becomes too cluttered. You'll get no argument from me. I also find the "Someone tells you stuff" popups in some missions to be intrusive and cumbersome, and heaven forbid they add more unskipable cutscenes...
