  2. I'm no expert, but I think the Homecoming servers are in Canada. Like, all of them. If that's true, then the EU one is EU in name only, so ppl with similar playtimes can group together more effectively. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will correct me shortly. lol.
  3. Mine is office buildings/warehouses. I just like them. Every time I get a mission door leading to an office building/warehouse I am like "Yes!" 😁
  4. As for tweaking, I posted this in the bug forums...but there is a problem with the Scrapper ATOs slotted on savage melee characters. When using Rending Flurry, and slotted with Superior Scrapper's Strike...you lose the set bonuses from the io's slotted in that power on use of the power. In my case, the most noticeable was the 5% defence drop. When I switched the ATO sets around, and slotted the Superior Critical Strikes in the same power, everything was fine. Link to bug post below. Originally I thought it was an s/l bug, but after testing...it' seems to be an ATO problem(at least for savage melee).
  5. Rest is a 100 magnitude immobilize on yourself. If you can overcome that with break frees/team buffs etc, you can move while resting
  6. On live my AR/nrg blaster would hit power boost, then punch a level 1 in AP across the parking lot with power thrust. Fun times

  8. The entire Homecoming team are my heroes! To be able to play this game again, in 2019(2020) is a dream come true.
  9. I didn't feel like doing the Trial, so I just auto completed the mission, and received the badge.
  10. You just have to look at the bid amounts and you realize someone is buying these and reselling them. There is almost 30,000 bids in on yellow salvage. That is not the typical market scenario. Common salvage = 2k bids. Uncommon salvage = 28.8k bids. Rare salvage - 19k bids. The only thing I don't understand, is why someone is doing it? The amount of effort involved in bidding, collecting, reposting for what might amount to even a few k profit on each one...you'd think that time would be better spent on something with a better return.
  11. I always take a travel power. I just don't want to worry about a temp power running out at some point. I did have the magic carpet on a lowbie toon, but the detoggling of powers just isn't worth it to me at level 15+.
  12. I don't play it often. I find the zones pretty depressing. Well maybe depressing is too strong a word. I just don't find the outdoor environment very appealing to play in, compared to the hero zones. The music is a bit off putting to me too. Navigating Mercy Island can be a bit annoying for new players. -Lots of vertical challenges, and the elevators etc. I know you can get the temp travel powers etc, but for new players who may have never played the game on live, it can be frustrating to try to get to the mission doors without knowing all the ins and outs the veterans do. I also don't feel powerful there, regardless of powers. Just in general...on hero side...people need your HELP because you can do things and deal with stuff they cannot...but on redside I get the impression that the contacts seem to demand your servitude for tasks they deem beneath them, or for some future favor that never materializes.
  13. I know how you feel. I wanted to remake Ice Cube, my ice/ice/cold blaster and then spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out something that wasn't taken on Homecoming. I ended up choosing Winter Blast.
  14. Ok. So, I 99% of the time play this game solo. But I do like playing high level, so surviving +0x8 minimum is a requirement(at 50). Preferably higher, but at least that. Not a farming build...I'm not planning on spending any time in AE, but I do like doing the DA arcs, Ephram Sha missions etc at 50. That's why I slotted those powers the way I did. I need at least some sort of defence soft capped. So I could have went the S/L route, but that only works against that damage. Melee...works against all melee attacks. I wasn't really planning on using Dual Wield for it's damage, just for it's defensive opportunity only. My plan is to jump into the middle of mobs, and AoE them down. It's the reason I didn't take Executioner's shot. Single target dmg is great...but I just couldn't fit it in. With psychic shockwave recharging in 6 seconds, hail of bullets in 26s, Piercing Rounds in 4.3s, Bullet Rain in 5.2s, Empty Clips in 3.7s there is always going to be some sort of AoE available. I don't mind cones...my last 50 was a Savage Melee scrapper, so sometimes positioning for cones, is just part of the archetype. Is my build weak on single target damage...probably. But I just don't see a build surviving on 50 content with 25% defence. Now, I haven't played much of the /dark yet(or dual pistols for that matter!)...so there is all that regeneration in the set, that I will have to see how it works. Maybe softcap with all that regeneration really is overkill. But I still got 37 more levels to play. I level to 50 doing the Story Arcs. I do use the double xp boost from the P2W vendor, but I dont just farm up characters to 50. I like to see how they actually play. So this build isn't set in stone. And I'm not building towards it NOW. Well I would have started to, if you would have said "its great! go for it!", but you didn't. Since I haven't played Sentinel Archetype before, I will take every dual pistols power, and every power in /dark just to see how they play while leveling up. That was my plan regardless. Then I'll make some adjustments based on how the power sets play. This is actually the first time I attempted to do a build without actually getting the character to 50 first, so I do agree with you, that maybe some of those sacrifices I made for the melee defence etc just wont be practical. I just wanted a starting place to work from, and maybe save some time and start bidding on some sets now, rather than later. But that all went out the window. lol I really appreciate your advice, and will take it to heart as I level up. I'm only level 13 now, so the intricacies of the two sets aren't really discovered yet, but your detailed responses really are helpful. I'll probably get this character to 50 some time in the next two weeks, and will finalize his build then.
  15. I checked out those other posts. I took @Cetrix build and changed it to my needs . He had a different primary, so I had to do some juggling. I ended up taking the same Epic pool because we both wanted psychic shockwave. Anyways, here is a look at the build I am probably going to go with. It's softcapped for melee defence, which was what I wanted. Decent recharge rate. 71.4% s/l resist. Pretty decent AoE capability with psychic shockwave, hail of bullets, bullet rain, piercing rounds, empty clips. Now, I've only played Dual Pistols up to level 13 so far, so if anyone has any advice, or slotting changes, it would be appreciated.   16. Hey all. I've searched through the forums, and reddit, but don't see any DP/dark sentinel builds. Any one have a good one? I'm currently level 10, so looking to start buying pieces and slotting them as I level up. The set so far is really fun. I've never used Dual Pistols on Live, although I did have a Spines/Dark scrapper, and the secondary seems pretty familiar, so that's nice. I'm mainly figuring on charging in, doing some AoEs, and letting the oppressive gloom, cloak of fear do it's thing, kinda playstyle. 😄
  17. I'm currently in a mission now, with rending fury on Auto(slotted with Superior Critical Strike's), and I don't lose any bonuses after 15 minutes of testing on +4x8. I know it's not the best fix, but if you move the Scrapper's Strike's out of rending fury, that will solve the bonuses disappearing problem. The problem seems to be with the Scrapper's Strike ATOs and Rending Fury. I basically had the two ATO sets six slotted, so I just switched out the sets, to get everything working.
  18. Set bonuses work fine for Scrapper’s Strike when slotted in a power other than Rending Fury. I’ve got Scrapper’s Strike slotted in Vicious Slash currently, and been playing all day with no problems.
  19. Yes, I had mine slotted with the Superior Scrapper's Strike also. I swapped the two ATO sets around, and I don't have this issue with Superior Critical Strikes slotted in rending Fury. So, for now, that is my fix. I'm not 100% happy with that, because I don't want my AoE attack granting me critical strikes...I'd rather a single target attack grant me them, and then I take advantage of the critical on multiple targets...but there isn't much I can do about it...
  20. Thanks Bionic Flea. Your build is a lot like my original build. I also have Blistering Cold slotted, and Avalanche slotted on that build. But I didn't feel like spending another 300+ million or so on those two sets only, so I made some cheapskate adjustments. haha. Hence the kinetic combats in Savage Strike, and the Eradications in Savage Leap. I was looking for a Savage/WP that was softcapped for s/l def and also resistance. Surprisingly, after searching these boards, and reddit, I didn't find one. Well, one that had my power choice preferences. I didn't wand to take the stealth pool etc. So I started from scratch. I was playing around last night, and I did take maneuvers on the build, like you suggested. I currently have some bids in for the Avalanche's so I'll see how those go, and move on from there. I still wish the bug wasn't there. I used to like to open with vicious slash, then use Savage Leap with the Critical Strikes from vicious slash, and then a filler, and usually a 5 stack blood frenzy rending fury was available. I'll take the steady defence, but I have to adjust my attack chain a bit, so that will take some getting used to.
  21. They are the Superior Versions, but I was doing level 50 missions at the time. I tried out your idea though, and I did a +4 x 8 mission for levels 1-53, and even when exemp'd to 49, my defence was steady at 42.76% since I swapped the ATO sets.
  22. Ok, so I did some further testing. I bought a bunch of enhancement unslotters, and I basically switched the ATO sets. I don't lose the 5% anymore. I don't know why it is glitchy with having the Superior Critical Strikes in Rending Fury, but now that isn't an issue with the Superior Scrapper's Strike's slotted there. It's a steady 42.76% defence.

The only real change I am planning is to upgrade the Eradication's in Savage Leap to Superior Avalanche's. But I'm hesitant to do that if it wont push me over the softcap, due to the issue I'm currently facing with losing my 5% bonus from the ATOs.   24. I've got a 50 Savage Melee/Willpower Scrapper. He's currently got 42.76% s/l defence. When I go into a mission, at level 50, shortly after combat starts, the Combat Attributes Monitor shows his s/l defence drop to 37.76%. I've taken screenshots before combat, and during combat, and what is happening, is an "Ultimate Lethal/Smashing/Melee def bonus" disappears. It's value is 5%, which corresponds to the 5% drop. I've got two def toggles, and both values remain in both conditions. All my other defence comes from set bonuses. The only set I have slotted that gives me the Ultimate bonus is Superior Scrapper's Strike ATO's in Rending Fury. As soon as I activate that power, I lose the Ultimate bonus, and my def drops by 5%. I timed it on my phone, and 11 minutes and 34 seconds after exiting combat, my defence went back up to 42.76%. I did some more tests, using single powers in combat to try to find out if there was a trigger. Energy Torrent - 6x, def steady. Boxing - 6x, def steady. Savage Strike - 6x, def steady. Maiming Slash - 6x, def steady. Vicious Slash - 6x, def steady. Savage Leap - 6x, def steady. Rending Fury - 1x, def dropped. I'm including the screen shots showing his defence with the discrepancy. When I was asking if anyone else had problems in /help channel on Torchbearer, people were asking for other things. So - I have T3 Agility Partial Core Revamp slotted for Alpha. I have T1 Ion Judgement slotted for Judgement. I have T3 Reactive Total Radial Conversion slotted for Interface. No other incarnate abilities slotted.
  25. I generally do story arcs, solo, to 50. Its a decent chunk of reward merits along the way. Usually by the time I hit 50, I've got about 70 million in inf, all IO's and over 300 reward merits. I do the double xp boost from the P2W vendor, so all that money is from crafting and selling the drops either at a store, or WW along the way. I slot IOs at 10, and upgrade them as enhancement slots open up, and usually at set intervals I will replace them with a higher version. Like at 30 I might replace all my 10-20 IOs with 30s. I usually don't complete the PI arcs until I'm actually 50. I unlock my alpha slot, and then do the PI arcs, and move on to Dark Astoria.
