Edit for those who are confused: The Ouroboros isn't given out for free. Period. Other forum posters have correctly stated however, that it can be given to another player if it is dropped by someone with the power itself and clicked on by that player (except in the case of Praetorians), but there are many other ways to unlock this power aside from this method. This continues to reinforce the argument that 'Fast Travel' in general is something to work towards and invest time in the short term, in order to gain long term efficiency via travel methods.

These are great suggestions with superb explanation and reasoning. I'd like to discuss your second suggestion, specifically, why you think it should be granted account wide. The reasoning you stated makes sense to me, it would indeed be convenient for an accolade power to be granted account wide in order to skip the time investment, especially if you have a number of alts, as you say. I understand that. My counter-argument would be that no accolade power in the game is or has ever been granted account wide. Your suggestion would be changing precedent for convenience alone - is that a fair assessment? Looking at this from another perspective, would you say someone who spends the majority of their time (yet the exact same amount of time you spend over a number of separate characters) on one of their characters, thereby concentrating time and effort, should be allowed the opportunity to have access to faster methods of travel, such as the plethora that have been given through the release of this issue? Building up that character requires an investment of time - rewards aren't given out freely for the sake of convenience. I look forward to your reply, and again, great suggestions!

While I don't share your opinion on the requirements, I do enjoy that this badge is so woven in to so many story arcs. It makes sense too, considering you're in the Zig and the jail cells should be full of the enemies you defeated when you were a hero.
-
@UkaseI would recommend posting this in the Bug Reports forum section. I haven't ran this on live yet, only when it was on beta. It is the first I have seen it not awarding. Do you have all the souvenirs mentioned in the post? Did you spare Sun Xiong most recently or did you defeat him? (I know both award a badge, but perhaps it is tied to the most recent decision). If every jail cell is full, that is literally the requirement being fulfilled... hmm...

Would you be opposed to continuing this discussion through direct message so it doesn't clog this thread?

The Good, the Bad, the Fugly [ issue 27 ]

This is impressive indeed. Volunteers are awesome! -
This had me laughing out loud!
-
Right! Yes! Both "I don't like it" or " I love it" posts are not as helpful as actual testing and providing substantive feedback or analysis. We are in agreement.
-
It has been pointed out twice, in this thread alone, by @Jimmy that feedback that ignores the wider context of the change isn't that helpful. He has also said he doesn't appreciate the same posters repeating their arguments and clogging up the thread. He has even specifically responded to you, @Blackbird71 and told you outright that he doesn't "feel you're discussing this in good faith". Page 3, Jimmy said: Page 4, Jimmy said: Page 4, Jimmy said:

I support you giving this feedback, I really do - but I know it won't be as helpful as someone who has tested the power in-game to verify an improvement or determent to playstyle, ensured the change did not alter other powers or game mechanics, or reduced the viability of other similar powers or abilities. Actually testing something and providing feedback is far more valuable to our volunteers who don't have a ton of time on their hand than listening to "I don't like it" posts. Imagine being in their position, you have an hour to fix something in this game to make it better for the community, and now you've wasted 30 minutes reading through 40 pages of posts (I'm looking at you Focused Feedback: Travel Updates: Base Teleportation, Long Range Teleporter Accolade, Special TP Powers) and there are only 12 posts that are actionable or can be addressed and the rest are "I don't like it" posts.
-
Yes, my posts about encouraging players to provide feedback is the best way to encourage players to provide feedback. And my posts about discouraging a handful of posters from posting the same complaints over and over again is also the best way to ensure every posters opinions are heard.

Jimmy's suggestion for adding batteries is based on other players feedback while maintaining time versus reward balance in the game. If gives the option to players who want to play faster, while maintaining the options for others who do not. Everyone can be satisfied, yet there are still folks who dismiss this suggestion without even testing it. I'm just so confused...
-
This suggestion hasn't even been put in the beta to test and you're dismissing it based on...? Jimmy's post gives a detailed explanation for why this alternative was suggested. It offers the ability to instant teleport that many folks have requested while simultaneously maintaining the required risk vs. reward balance/if everything was free, nothing would be fun decision-making criteria. Can you at least provide an alternative solution to this suggestion instead of outright dismissing it? Give some kind of substantive feedback aside from "no thank you"?
-
The opinions that have been expressed in this thread have been listened to, and then restated, over and over and over again, throughout the thread. The HC team has acknowledged those opinions, over and over and over again. The same people continue to complain, over and over and over again. There are other people's opinions being literally drowned out by the same few people posting their complaints over and over and over again. Can you tell me that this is fair to everyone? Can you honestly say that is the best way to give feedback?
-
Where's your evidence to support this claim? In this game, where can you show evidence that any change the Homecoming team has made that decreased the population? This data doesn't exist because there isn't a methodology publicly in place to record changes in the population BASED SOLELY ON CHANGES MADE BY THE HOMECOMING VOLUNTEERS. Your speculative opinion is not grounded in reality and does not provide substantive feedback to the volunteers who run this game who don't have all the time in the world to sift through basic level opinionated complaints and real criticisms out feedback that can actually be addressed. I'm tired of reading posts from people just complaining because they don't have an outlet for it elsewhere and think they are entitled to wasting volunteer time with their non-contributing opinions. Not liking something in this game is entirely different than describing an actual problem that can go in a bug report or lead to actionable changes after being reviewed by the HC team.

There was something related to this in an earlier build in the beta, but it didn't make it to the live version. Movement Buffs This change has been reverted This will be looked at again in the future, potentially Page 2, as we look into proliferating Ninjitsu The following travel powers will suppress Primary/Secondary equivalent power travel buffs: Pool > Leaping > Combat Jumping Pool > Leaping > Super Jump Pool > Force of Will > Mighty Leap Pool > Speed > Super Speed Pool > Experimentation > Speed of Sound Prestige Travel > Ninja Run Prestige Travel > Beast Run Prestige Travel > Athletic Run Primary/Secondary powers impacted by this: Scrapper Defence > Ninjitsu > Shinobi-Iri Sentinel Defence > Ninjitsu > Shinobi-Iri Blaster Support > Ninja Training > Shinobi-Iri Blaster Support > Tactical Arrow > Gymnastics

This appears to occur with sprint, super jump, and super speed as well. I notice it logging in to the game and whenever I change zones.

Chat Menus failing with keyboard shortcuts
Glacier Peak replied to BillyMailman's topic in Bug Reports
I tried entering the command in to the chat bar a moment ago and it worked for me. Is it just the pop up menu itself not working? -
They are literally always accepting feedback from players, look at the first post for this example:
-
After many volunteer hours of testing, receiving many players feedback and suggestions, incorporating this feedback in to subsequent builds, testing again, going out of their way to find the best solution with the least impact on gameplay, all the while reiterating likely hundreds of times in all official platforms of communication to the player base over the past year that this exploit would be removed. The Homecoming volunteers have gone above and beyond in their efforts to balance fixing an exploit and keeping the player base happy.
-
This is change is not related to PvP in any way, shape, or form. I'll point you back to Jimmy's first post in this thread:
