  1. On live I made a point of keeping a collection of at least one of every bit of inventory/salvage (including the legacy ones) items that were available in game in my base. "Horded" is not really the right word, but on HC (like many others) I was collecting candy canes (via AE before the nerf) well before Christmas and I then started to sell them the week before the event... I was surprised just how many people where willing to paid 15M each for them.
  2. I still have this issue (only on the one character), reported in months ago but still not seen any solution. Being a such a minor issue I'm not worry, but it's interesting to see others are in the same boat.
  3. A lot of people get map-served every few minutes on Torchbearer ( I think we were just lucky it didn't happen while doing the Winter Lord event.
  4. The 32 bit version was working fine (although it did crash often) until the Safe Mode version come out then it started to get a error message on start up but I then simply started to use the Safe Mode version which worked fine on XP. However, I can't do any testing at the moment as that PC died a couple of days ago, the main hard drive finally gave up after 18 years of hard work 🙂
  5. Since the 64 bit version came in I have had little reason to use the Safe Mode version on my main PC but it is now the only one that works on my second PC. However, that PC is still running Windows XP so I kind of will understand if does go away.
  6. I found another post about a similar problem and worked out that what was happening was that the secondary colour is now the one that shows when using spectrum pieces, not the primary. So I just changed both to the same colour and that seem to fixed it.
  7. I've noticed that lately (not sure when it started) my characters that use some spectrum costume pieces have changed colour (blue to white, white to red etc). At least one I changed back only to have it change again the next day (although, I'm not 100% of this). It has affected a number of characters.
  8. Thanks for the advice all, at this stage I'm going to respec into build #3 above and see how it goes.
  9. Back on live my Katana/Regen Scrapper build was considered to be a reasonably fair build, and when I recreated the character on Torch I didn't change much at all. Now that same build is considered not very good as all (due to not having soft capped Defence and Resistance). So I decided to redo the build using all the well know tricks that people are aware of these days. Below are the results of three builds: 1) My original build from live with all but Calling the Wolf in Katana, all powers from Regeneration, Fly, Invisibility and Recall Friend. 2) New build with all but Calling the Wolf and Gambler's Cut in Katana, all powers from Regeneration, Super Jump & Combat Jumping, Maneuvers and Invisibility. 3) New build, same as above but switch out Maneuvers for Recall Friend. Some notes: Why do I take Invisibility on a Scrapper? - I intend to complete as many Flashback missions as I can and with a lot of them the ability to be invisible makes a huge difference. Why take Recall Friend? - I sometimes duel-box with a second account and sometimes it best to leave the second character at the start of a mission until they are needed. It is also very useful on many Task-forces, especially when combined with Invisibility. The first build didn't include of any the unique plus defence and resistance percentage IOs. Doing so adds a further 5.6% defence and 4.4% resistance across the board. None of the builds include Hasten, as I never been a fan of it. I would had preferred to keep Fly but I couldn't find a way to do so due to the maximum number of allowed Power Pools. So if I drop Maneuvers I lose 3.2% across all defence but regain a power that I sometimes use. Will this make any noticeable difference to my survival at the top end at all?
  10. It's not only if you do via Ouroboros, twice I had the same issue on low level characters doing the arc normally. The first one I logged off to reset the mission, didn't work the first time but did the second time. On the second character, I'm not having much luck at all.
  11. Ah I learn something new every day about this game.... that makes sense and explains everything. Thanks
  12. It doesn't really relate to recipes or purples, but one of my characters seems to be having a strange "issue". Its my main farming toon and for a couple of weeks he not received a single enhancement drop. Not a single one, despite many hours playing. I haven't change any drop settings with the P2W vendors (and I've rechecked) and he has received heaps of purple and other recipes in that time. In the past he did receive enhancements quite often, it just in recent weeks that none appear to be dropping (which isn't really a bad thing, saves me from having to vendor sell them). If I power-level another character while farming (any level, even 50 +3s for inf), they do to receive the normal amount of enhancements. I have put it down to just a strange run on the RNG (but I guess it could also be something that I'm just not aware of yet). As mentioned, I'm not complaining in any way, I just thought it was relative to this discussion as it may just show how the RNG can result in long runs of bad/good luck.
  13. I created some missions on one of my PCs and not long after I had everything working exactly (well 90%) how I wanted it, my hard-drive crashed. I didn't think it would be a major problem as I thought I could just edit the published mission and saved everything locally to my other PC. The problem was however, after doing this what was saved locally on my PC was a very old version of the Custom Critters and Custom Villain Group files. My issue was further compounded when I then made the mistake of saving the mission back to the server without realising (that this causes the local versions of the Critters and Cvg files to also be published). I then had no option but to spent a week updating the mission (and custom critters etc) again back to how I had them and republished the mission. Everything was back to normal. Then three days later, my bad bad luck continued when my second PC also died (completely different issue to the first one). I still had my Laptop, so I repeated the process of saving the published mission and critters locally, this time been very careful not to overwrite anything server side. But once again what was saved locally is a old (or maybe corrupt) version of the Critters and Cvg files. All the critters show up brightly coloured, which is the way I initially created them months ago before I changed to them shade of grey only (for story reason) and all their powers are all wrong. The publish version is still fine, although there is a minor error that I would still like to fix. Does anyone know how to download the correct critter and cvg files from the published version safely? EDIT: Half an hour after posting this, I released what I was doing wrong... when I started to use my 2nd PC and edited the published version, I was in fact editing a old local autosave version (as I selected the one that appeared under "My Creations" -> "Published Stories", this is not always the current published version (if you use multiple PCs) and there doesn't appear to be a way to actually edit the true published version (if you don't have a up-to-date local version). Hopefully there is still an answer to my question however... and yes I have put in a support ticket..
  14. Just copy the files in the following sub-directories from your laptop to your PC: Custom_Critters CustomVillainGroup Missions
  15. One thing that I have notice (on a number of characters) is if the Tip aren't dropping after a good while (1 hour plus), if I log out and then log back in they seem to start dropping again almost straight away. May had just been dumb luck each time, or maybe there is a minor bug.
  16. Something I notice today, I'm unable to change the commands for my pets (MM or Lore) using Simple Mode. It's stuck on "Attack my Target", "Follow" and "Passive". Change to Advance Mode and it works fine. Same thing happen on all the characters I tested. I'm pretty sure you use to be able to change the commands using the Simple Mode option in the Pet Window before (but I'm not 100% sure). It happens on all my characters that I tested.
  17. Thanks Redlynee. I quickly put together the below build, it may not be the best or most powerful but hopefully it will be ok. If anyone sees anything major wrong with it, feel free to let me know. 18. I have quite a few different combination builds for most archetypes and normally I don't have much problems working out a build, however the one that I'm having difficultly with is for my Nature/Water Defender. I'm finding it hard to work out which powers to drop (if any) and what slotting to do. Has anyone got any suggested builds or suggestions? I mainly looking at a end-games groups and iTrails more then soloing and/or leveling.
  19. I'm still getting this issue when using the Safe Mode client on my Windows XP PC.
  20. One thing to keep in mind is that not everyone is level 50 with full IO Sets. Playing around with IO Sets cannot be the solution to everything. I'm not saying anything against any suggestions like this one, just that I see a trend starting where players are only looking at level 50 fully slotted characters.
  21. I had the exact same issue, and like Guardian it turned out it was one of the two bridges right on the water. In my case it was Badge No. 17 (you have to swim to the side of the bridge, it's not in the center like vidiotmap's shows).
  22. I couldn't agree more, it's one (I assume very minor) QoL issue that would make me very happy. It came back to me very quickly just how often I accidentally hit one those of little arrows and how it use to (and still does) frustrate me.
