Hmm, I'm not sure what to make of the article. I'll explain. I and my tiny gang of IRL compatriots who play regularly, (COH helped get us all through Lockdown) couldn't tell you what a meta is if you paid us. And frankly that might be true of most of players. We play for companionship, story, Gits and Shiggles, and so on. None of my lot post here. I don't think they have logged on to the forum since they created their accounts several years ago! I only ended up coming here when I got interested in writing AEs and started looking for advice. So while the article is interesting, for people like us it tells us absolutely nothing about the new release. If you're going to review something I expect a review, not whatever that was. Now that coupled with a review might have me thinking "yeah, they have a point" or "No, that's BS". But I didn't even get that. Will there be things we like? Probably. Will there be things we don't like? Probably. Will some things have us scratching our head and wondering? Again, probably. But after reading this article several times I know nothing about any of the things me and my gang are interested in. What's the zone feel like live? What are the new enemies like? The arcs? Any comedic quirks or wackiness? I didn't get any of that. Yes, we could hop on Open Beta and have a looksee, but would you believe that there's a nice chunk of the population that DOESN'T want to spoiler things and so an in depth review sans spoilers would have been nice. It is what it is.

Unique Maps -> Outdoor Maps -> Faultline - High Rise. Right now you have to be careful when setting objectives, though I've only personally experienced it with objects to collect or destroy, never with NPCs. I don't know why NPCs would be exempt, I've just never seen it happen. Here's me flying around Faultline, well outside of the blue mission box, In fact here you can see the outline of the blue walls from outside. I've also had a look around Overbrook Dam and the Arachnos tunnels. Players won't have an issue with this because in testing you won't ever be able to publish a required objective without finding this problem and working around it. If it's an optional thing it'll just complete without needing the "missing" glowie. Though personally I test all those too! I've got my Health/Endurance bar in the middle of those shots to show that as a Praetorian I simply cannot be in Faultline normally. -

I haven't been able to attend every time but when I did I had a blast. Great experience and fun to see players interacting with a wide variety of different story types, some of which you'd not normally see in the main game. Here's the team on Victory about to head off into Dhahabu Kingdom and the Indelible Curse of Hate (#60044) for action and adventure! And here we are in the finale, doling out justice to the creators of the curse! Go Victory! And we had a very warm welcome from Homecoming's newest shard so thanks to all there 🙂 -

Ah...every now and again the Newsies give some information that's NOT about Paragon/Rogue Isles. I tend to see COH (COV+Praetoria) in a very Astro City kind of way, it's where all the BIG stuff happens, but apart from I dunno, mention of Chicago being eaten or something and talk of a Neo Tokyo on Praetoria, we know nothing about the rest of the country/world.* *Yes, there are mentions in NPC backgrounds and some Lore, and where exactly is West Libertalia in Africa? -

Now there's a weird glitch that happens if you use the Faultline map with the interior building with the hole in the wall. If you set glowies to spawn outside then it's possible for them to spawn outside the blue barrier walls. I discovered this when I couldn't find one on a test run and then used the Jump to next objective to get to it, and then couldn't get back to the "game area"! So yeah. Don't have external glowies on this map. It doesn't seem to affect NPCs though. -

Ok, for my money The Well is actually BETTER than Lux. (For aficionados of the War Doctor I cannot recommend enough The War Doctor Begins published by Big Finish. Takes up immediately after Night of the Doctor. Great stuff)

We're getting the spin off five episode "The War Between the Land and the Sea", and frankly I and many other fans would prefer another five episodes of Doctor Who!

Ok, I've been watching Who for years...and listening to BF (and frankly RTD should damn well hire some of their writers!) and for me this is 15's first really great episode.

If you get bored I have a selection of Praetorian AEs in my sig aimed at filling a gap between Neutropolis and First Ward/Lvls 21 to 25. I've tried to tie them into canon as much as possible.

If you started your character as a Praetorian you will get "Praetor" at 50 EVEN if you leave at 20 or thereabouts. My "main" is a Praetorian who is still 24 carat gold and never left so you obviously can get to 50 but...it gets fiddly.

Back in the day my father acceded to my desire to see The Karate Kid in the cinema. So we show up and then screen is full. (Lived in a small town with a only s two screen cinema), so rather than go home my dad bought us tickets for the OTHER showing that night, Top Secret! And that was soooo much fun.

Clown MM finally. Summon Clowns. They all arrive in a janky old jalopy the size of a matchbox and yet all pile out of it. A wheel falls off. Upgrade them by spraying them from your fake buttonhole flower. Giant shoes. Fish and pie throwing. Ladder attacks. Bucket of glitter. Random chance of them all running off. Fire one of them out of a cannon for a big effect. One of them has a unicycle. Juggling. (The emote already exists!) Gang War equivalent summons mimes to surround the enemy in an invisible glass box. Loads more! Plus add in all the missing First Ward/Night Ward maps to the AE.
