  1. I've not played it yet, but if @cranebump and @Zhym think you've got a good thing here then I will get onto it. Always happy to have more AE story writers around! I've avoided spoilering stuff for myself!
  2. No, Shroud City was though, and it got nuked.
  3. Even as a Gold you can do all the iTrials and Cathedral of Pain when you hit 50, provided they're started in Praetoria or Echo Plaza or Pocket D.
  4. I suppose it makes up LOL, kinda sorta, since RI is nowhere near Bermuda.
  5. Yep, tooting my own horn here! If anyone wants canon-esque Gold arcs between Neutropolis and First Ward check my signature for AEs. One trilogy of Loyalist (so far) and one completed trilogy of Resistance. The second Resistance trilogy has two parts up. I was writing a trilogy for each of the 4 options, Power, Warden, Crusader and Responsibility. Almost finished Crusader, still have Responsibility to go.
  6. Hopefully I'll have Spirals: Part Three done by the time you get around it!
  7. Yep. I know the one you're talking about. And yep, I can't change that unless I happen to have a Dev Choice GM on at the right time to reinstate it or something. So, I leave it.
  8. My suggestion is a bit odd. But my Gold 50 main in my avatar pic is a Mind Control/Empathy Controller. So I built a Seer to get around Praetoria. It works. Take Infiltration too. Ghouls? I'm invisible and they're Confused. And I'm healing. No, didn't do a lot of damage but didn't die much either. And definitely no XP buffs. And If you're looking for more Gold stuff check my sig for Praetoria based AEs set between Neutropolis and First Ward, 20-25.
  9. Nope! That is in fact a nod to "The Origin of the Remote-Control Man" by @Shockstorm. Arc id 29309. @Shockstorm is the leader of our little SG of Praetorians on Reunion.
  10. Also, testing this on 0/8 gives this response in MISSION 1!!!
  11. Response!! Spirals 3 will take a little longer as I try to tie all the ends together.
  12. Odysseus' hunt for a spy deep in the heart of the Resistance intensifies. The Syndicate are involved but so is Praetor Duncan and the danger just cranked up several notches. Time for the Crusaders to fight fire with fire. [A Praetorian SFMA prior to the Praetorian war.] Arc ID 55358
  13. Yes. Short answer but exactly that. The sword magically suits the bearer.
  14. By the time you get through the cycle of Me, @Ankylosaur and @cranebump again I may have Spirals: Part Two published!
  15. Well, they shouldn't pop in mine, but's that because I went back through them and unless an NPC appears literally in front of you then I don't use the Unaware text box for allies or enemies. Unless I want them overheard. And if I do I sometimes point out that in the Mission Entry pop up that you can hear them up ahead.
  16. Which at a higher difficulty seem relentlessly brutal! Oh well that's the Praetorian effect!
  17. Made a few tweaks here and there. Mainly smoothing out some text and clarifying some lore.
  18. In the aftermath of a failure to detonate a neutron device in the Magisterium the Resistance is reeling. PPD died, but so did key Resistance members. Somehow Cole's forces got past Vanessa DeVore's shielding. Odysseus is intent on flushing out a rat. [A Praetorian SFMA prior to the Praetorian War] Arc ID 55109.
  19. You're absolutely right on the customs not granting XP only when drawing from more than two powersets. All other customs give normal AE XP. I was just figuring that if you wanted to beef up your monster then adding in a few extras might swish up your encounter. And one of THOSE won't grant XP. Normally the only extras I give a custom character is to an Ally. Since the feature came in I give allies a rez, to give them a little more life/utility to the player, and an Ally was never going to give XP anyway, so no worries. As for my Praetorian stuff? @TerroirNoir2 has it right, well them being commendable is subjective! But so far I have one trilogy of Loyalist Power and one Trilogy of Resistance Warden, each going from 20-25 and taking place between the end of Neutropolis and the intro to First Ward. The order of each is in my signature. There's a few other Praetorian AEs out there too. Nyx-Astraea's Webb of Destruction trilogy is very interesting! (She's another Dev Choice writer so is meticulous) Then there's some stuff by @Shockstorm too, plus "Rewarded as a Loyalist Deserves" is well worth playing, though I hope there's a follow on! Looking forward to seeing how your arc plays out @Chronos! (I am a little Praetorian geeky! Kam, my avatar there, is my Main Gold 50 and I've been nursing her forward at that level since 2020. Slow going!)
