  1. Spend some time in the AE so you get the Mission Engineer Badge. This will give you an AE Pad. Use it as a communication tool.
  2. Where is this referenced? I'm not going to say I know the game better than you or anyone else, but I've never seen it and if it is there I'd like to know where. Are you missing a quote in the second part of your reply? There's a visible gap and your answer refers to things I didn't mention so it looks like the forum glitched on you. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time! EDIT: An update. One of the plaques (#17) for the Bicentennial Badge lists Ignacio Morales as the mayor. So as of the nebulous now of COH, Morales is the Mayor.
  3. Your reasoning is sound. I'm just stating that until otherwise noted somewhere, as far as the in world lore goes, Morales remains the mayor. However, Christie doesn't need to be. Post Rikti War, massive construction of War Walls, lots of power. Post Praetorian War, lots of damage. Even with super tech and energy, Paragon must be running on fumes financially. Someone like Christie CAN get concessions if he's willing to foot bills. And why become mayor at all when you don't need to? As far as we know he's not a Wilson Fisk with something to whitewash. As an historical note, Spanky Rabinowitz is stated to have served at least four terms as mayor. That's a minimum of 16 years given a four year term, and was at the heart of Paragon politics for 30 years. So it's not impossible for Morales to be mayor the entire time, given the slight haziness of "now" in City of Heroes.
  4. Time to go read. See you over on the other page!
  5. So you're basically saying Snarky isn't allowed post anywhere any more?
  6. He's not the mayor. He's probably more like Maxwell Lord to Countess Crey's Lex Luthor, if you'll pardon the shoehorned analogy, but he's not the mayor. That's, as of now at least, still Morales.
  7. Played it and really had fun with it. Great arc. I see why you chose to interface with the player the way you did, and it works for me. May not work for others but in my opinion it's not egregious at all. Excellent.
  8. I wonder if anyone (sorry if this sounds bad @TerroirNoir3, it's not meant to) reads all these? I mean besides us named writers and I know @Clave Dark 5 comments, and @Zhym I believe did all this listing thing because they were reading. Ultimately I'm back pondering if our tiny AE community is a sealed bubble with very few others looking in apart from hunting for farms to PL to 50.
  9. Two reviews in one day! I never got that @cranebump 😛
  10. It happens. We will see you when you're back.
  11. To be fair, I've not seen a timer in one of his arcs for a while. But they were definitely a thing for a bit.
  12. Can you not create a new named faction built from a Demon Prince and Demonlings?
  13. @ZamuelNow runs M.A.S.S. as regularly as possible and is a great advocate for story based AE.
  14. I know there's been a gap, but it's hard to believe these started three years ago!
  15. Since I'm sometimes nasty, I'd custom fit him with a Power Mission_Maker_Secondary.Dark_Armor.Soul_Transfer. You take him down, he gets back up while stunning you. Downside is customs like that don't give XP, so having plenty of minions around him to grant XP would be needed. To make it even nastier, if you do use something like this then have "Get to Mission Exit" instead of the Exit Button on the Nav bar, so the player can't just hop out. The how of this should be linked here. Custom Builds for AE NPCs. Maps? Ah, there's so much to choose from. I can't really advise you on that.
  16. Underground contacts vanish too depending.
  17. Weirdly I'm not angry with the original writer. No one sets out to write a bad story but sometimes ambition far outweighs talent and/or experience. I'm more annoyed with the testers/gatekeepers who let it through in that form. It's a case of "you had one job" springs to mind. Then again, did they even have staff for that at that point? No matter, I'm sure plenty of actual players would have been happy to test it and throw that fish back. Given the option of badges already being in the game and Red Widow appearing in scenes after this arc, I for one would prefer an entirely new arc to detail her resurrection and let the current one (patched as it is by HC) sit in the Ouro as an oddity. There's plenty of better things hiding in the Ouro after all such as Sister Psyche's TF, the OG Calvin Scott TF, OG Positron TF, the OG LRSF, so it would be in esteemed company.
  18. ROFL. And yes, it CAN get insane at 4/8.
  19. No, apologies. I meant in the Mission Architect section. Anyway.
  20. I was simply stating Night Ward is both Praetorian and Spirit realm so I don't know what point I'm making for you. I'm not sure why we're talking about the Midnighters since Praetoria has its own version of them. I think the Primals might have at least an academic interest though! As when War Witch points out that a book missing from the Praetorian one could be found in Primal, it's quite possible the reverse is also true for other things. Agreed. Hamidon has no interest in this zone. However Hamidon describes itself, it's very much a living thing. The Drudges' biggest issue isn't the living being there but that they have lost the ability to send souls further. They're dangerous and can kill you but might also deal with you. Yep, agreed. The story doesn't get to the War. Which is weird because you get all the build up to the War before the Rift mission at level 20 and then if you go to First Ward... crickets. I'm also maybe one of the few people advocating that expansion of the Praetorian story can occur pre War. I'd be happy to see that. Might need some tweaking of the levels so as not to bypass contacts. I don't think we're entirely disagreeing here! Just on maybe different approaches.
  21. Yep. It's the Spirit Realm of Praetoria. That's the point. It's not a binary, it's both. And the Shadow Shard isn't an analog. But you mentioning the Shadow Shard raises an interesting point. I mentioned above that in Faathim's TF Mother Mayhem and her Malaise are present in the Shadow Shard. So some Praetorians can go there, so why can't others?
