  1. Being able to have more than the single contact person. Finish a Mish and your contact says go see so and so. And next Mish is with that next contact.
  2. Regular writing machine, ain't ya? LOL. Carry on with the good work!
  3. I thoroughly enjoyed this 🙂 You have my PM regarding my play through of it. Great story and I'm not even talking about the Mobius material here.
  4. Oh well. It was just a thought to add some flavour to PVP.
  5. The thing about restoring Galaxy City to "now" is that it'll still look like it was then. It won't have the sheen of Atlas, which it should do if it actually HAD been rebuilt -- and plenty of people won't mind that just to get it back --and I think that's a little issue that needs to be dealt with. It's not entirely destroyed. The area around Orion Beltway is kind of intact, kind of, so if it had the older look and then a revamp moved further out that would make sense.
  6. Is it? Fair enough. I considered making a "me only" server but have yet to bother doing so. But again my prejudices show, I simply don't want to have to wander by PVPers murdering each other to do my PVE mish, so I'm still on the side of doubling the location. What do you think of adding more event/quest/action to RV though, as per my other suggestion? Personally I find PVP dull. That's not stigmatizing people who love it, that's me. And it just occured to me, and if this is already being done then ignore me, are base raids still possible? Would designated Red v Blue bases, where you temporarily join a side for the event and fight your way through a designed base be a thing? As I said, if it's already a thing, cool. Just spitballing here. More interesting PVP content is possible maybe than just RV alone.
  7. Base teleporters? There are no TP points into current PVP zones and it won't affect the macro we use at all, so that's not an issue. Invis vs players? You'd have to ask a PVPer! I remember the Stalker Hide ability being very efficient though.
  8. I'm going to agree and disagree with you on the "desire" bit. Bear with me :). There probably isn't an imminent desire for these zones to be changed but (as I've said above I like your version regarding doubling the zones) there definitely IS a desire for more something, and converting existing material into, well, whatever, surely must be far more doable than building from scratch. So if changing/doubling these zones aided the game then personally I'd see that as a win/way forward, with the usual caveat that you ain't going to please everyone.
  9. As I said above I don't choose to PVP (have done but it's not my thing, each their own and all that) but I'm also 100 per cent against there being more PVP zones. Less PVP zones? I'm torn. I don't want those that love PVP to lose their zones but this isn't Live and this is a volunteer community/economy, so I'd be for the "doubling" of the three sub 40 PVP zones as mentioned above so as to utilise them further with ongoing story and so on. It's been a LOOONG time since I coded anything but I still reckon doubling the zone would be easier than coding for every single player to have to remember to flag themselves going in or out of the zone. And doubling somewhere like Bloody Bay with it's already teeming mobs and so on is likely easier than filling out Kallisti Wharf. (<--speculation obviously) And the last zone, the only one any really uses, RV? I'd add more PVP stuff to it. Anything you could do in something like laser tag? Throw it in there. Getting chased by enemies, run through the minefield, if you dare! Who knows? We're all pretty inventive here. Me? I'm all about the narrative. Yes yes yes, sure everyone is waiting to see if the guys eventually throw Battalion at us (frankly I could happily live without it and let them come up with something different and surprise us rather than being shackled to what was due on Live but YMMV) but in the meantime we need all the rest of the narrative to move on a bit. Now I'm the one who has veered. Apologies. PS, I shot my first Infected in the RV tram station yesterday since Live! I was hopping in to grab the badges (not on Indom so perfectly safe) and there he was. I almost looked around for a Stalker!
  10. Longbow =Arachnos. Ms Liberty ain't too far away in her thinking from Great Uncle Stefan if truth be told. (Well, maybe not = but equivalent to.)
  11. Well if Echo Atlas can have a Ms Liberty (who can still train you because I've tested that) then there could easily be a copy of BAB in Echo Galaxy City.
  12. Well, BAB could be a contact AND a trainer, depending on who introduces you to him, rather like Twinshot sending you to Ms Liberty. Copies of the zones? That works for me. Perhaps a thing on the Transport hub that says "Bloody Bay PVE" and "Bloody Bay PVP" and choose one, like choosing North or South on some zones presently. Plus an entire new set of exploration badges so badgers will still go to the PVP versions 🙂 And I mentioned elsewhere that I'd increase the power of the nukes a bit, make them equivalent to what they were back pre Incarnate as a "must have" item so people like myself aren't just getting them to have the Rocketman/Rocketwoman badge but actually want those temp powers. I'm not anti PVP, I just don't do it mostly. I am primarily interested in narrative and Warburg, or Bloody Bay at least should have been reclaimed by the Rogue Isles by now, and as you say, the presence of an enemy base in Siren's Call is ridiculous. Imagine if Longbow came out one morning or whatever to find that Arachnos had gone, just withdrawn completely from Siren's Call (to move all their troops to reclaiming Warburg or Bloody Bay perhaps!), there's a mystery. Why are they gone? Do they know something we don't? Is there a giant bomb under the area and we're just waiting? AAAGHH!!
  13. Liking your other stuff so I'll get on to that as soon as I can!
  14. Free For All Zones? As in PvP Free For All Zones? That's never going to fly. Free For All Zones in the same way that current PVE zones are, like the Echo zones already are? Sure. (Well, they already are level wise, obviously Red and Gold can't visit them.) Results of some pondering on this: I think if you want to do something with Echo Galaxy City then Ouro is the answer IMO. Make it an actual level capped "Time Travel Zone" wherein there are missions attempting to warn the residents of the impending meteor strike. Of course they fail, but what else is discovered along the way? Link it to BAB in present Atlas even, making him a contact as opposed to a trainer because frankly no one really trains with him. Every now and then I suppose but mostly not. "Hey, $name, don't I know you from somewhere? Did we meet in Galaxy City?" Interesting discussion on PvP but on HC it is dead outside RV on Indom. So reclaim Bloody Bay as a proper active zone for Redside. Let Arachnos bring Warburg to heel, more plots to solidify the Rogue Isles since Red Widow returned and poked Recluse into being a "normal" tyrant as opposed to whatever he was turning into. Both zones are actually physically fun and interesting, but it gets tedious creeping around them. Siren's Call? God knows. The other Echo Zones? I'll need to ponder on those, though I've always preferred the angle of the ship crash in the Rikti Crash Site to the Rikti War Zone. Of course in an MSR you'd just fall off all the time!
  15. Nigh on instantly genericked if I do this, Suppositron. I'll get my coat.
  16. While this Redside discussion is ongoing, and this may have been mentioned elsewhere (and perhaps some PVP players will dislike this) but (a) reclaiming one of the Red PVP zones as a PVE zone, my choice would be Bloody Bay, and (b) perhaps upping the strength of the three nukes so that, as it was pre Incarnate powers, it's really worth going to Warburg again. Originally I wanted those nuke powers, now I just got them because I wanted the badge and haven't been back since really, which is a pity because Warburg is a great area. Siren's Call isn't Redside, and frankly I'm not sure what you'd do with it right now. Recluse's Victory remains THE PVP area of choice obviously, due to the levels. As per my suggestion above re a 60th Anniversary of the Glorious Revolution, perhaps Bloody Bay could be reclaimed?
  17. Redside needs more international politics. If we take Cuba as an analog, Arachnos is the government, UN recognized and all. So there should be some plans in the making for 2024, the 60th anniversary of the "Revolution" that ushered in the Rule of Lord Recluse. Just a thought. A game can be "bigger" without needing a world ending event.
  18. That kinda works. I just have an escort that doesn't need saving or rescuing.
  19. I'm running into a bit of circular logic with an escort. So, I meet the escort, way point appears and you have to lead the escort to the glowie. However my tester buddy meets escort, ignores him and runs off to click the glowie. Leaving a lost escort wandering and missing some clues. The glowie should spawn off collecting the escort, so therefore it's active, but I have to set it for Mission Begins or it triggers circular logic failures. How do I get it to only become active AFTER the escort reaches it? I have swapped around trigger points but I keep getting a circular logic argument if I do it any way other than originally described. So it has to be when Mission Begins. If I choose when Escort is completed I get circular logic, if I choose when escort is rescued I get circular logic. Bah. Changing the glowie to a fade in/does not fade in object makes no difference. Ok, a kludgy workaround is having a second glowie that is actually the vital one and IT activates when the Escort reaches the first glowie, regardless of whether the player has already clicked it or not. Best to have that first one stay ON the map then! Grr. So I posit we need a third option there. Object becomes active when and only when Escort reaches said object. Now, if it does this already and I'm wasting everyone's time then I'll happily clam up provided you all tell me what the fix is 🙂
  20. I just went through all my AE stuff and resized anything that could be resized to 1.2. s bit more scrolling needed but much easier to read.
  21. NDAs are a pain in the... everything.
  22. Now, I may have, as we say in my country, lost the run of myself, but I've decided to submit all of the Dark Deeds in Galaxy City/Darker Deeds/Darkest Before Dawn story for Dev Choice. Why not? Taking a sort of Supers procedural TV show as inspiration I ended up with three "seasons" comprising 15 episodes each. The story starts with Madame Maven, leader of The Meteors super group (Bullet Streak, Halox Von Horn, Super Charger and The Invincible Axios) calling in the player(s) for some help when Arachnos troops are seen on some covert mission in the ruins of Galaxy City. It starts with Dark Deeds in Galaxy City, Parts One to Three (Arc IDs 26756, 26952 and 27233). Continues with Darker Deeds, Parts One to Three (Arc IDs 28374, 28526 and 29252). And concludes with Darkest Before Dawn, Parts One to Three (Arc IDs 29891, 30210 and 30560). (And for those who prefer not to squint at text I've resized anything that could be resized from 1.0 to 1.2, it'll just involve a little more scrolling.)
  23. More for my AE playthrough list!
