  1. That was the original impetus of the big effort. Though War Mace is also Amazing on a high end build. During the TW flame war thread it came up that they changed (buffed) build momentum at the 11th hour before release. Seemed that may have been a bad idea for an already strong set.
  2. There was a survival aspect in there since Fire on SOs died a lot iirc.
  3. Yeah. They did a great job with those tests. The one that disappoints me is Fire Melee, it would be nice if that one was in the top 3 of the IO one at least since it gets no mitigation.

  6. Put the Eff adapter proc in Energy drain, that stuns reliably. Add that to Disrupt's built in stun and it will stun more stuff.

  8. I think it has Good ST, but its not where it was due to new sets and buffs to other sets. But its far enough down that buffing its AOE sure makes sense IMO.
  9. Stj has an AOE knockdown that can be combod to an AOE knockdown PLUS AOE fear. A Cone Knockdown And a Knockup that can be combo'd into a ST hold. Does pretty good for mitigation. ==== RAD melee I think gets better pylon times for scrappers than DM also. There might be others.
  10. Maybe they are doing this as a sort of low hanging fruit idea. ST should still be the same, with some nice AOE added.
  11. Is it though? Seems like its behind TW and WM at the very least .. and still will be .. for both ST and AOE. For Stalkers its behind Stj and Savage for ST at a minimum.
  12. Also DM has spent long enough time in the woodshed with No AOE. Its not even one of the top ST performers anymore.
  13. Actually think the damage inverse to End idea is inspired. One thing you look to do when low on end is to knock a bunch of stuff out quickly to catch your breath. But I can't kill stuff faster when low on End ... because of how DC works .. but I can fill my blue bar. You still run low on End sometimes with high end builds. It just takes a lot more steamrolling to get there.
  14. SR scrappers get no AOE protection until level 32. SS tankers get no Melee AOE attack until level 38, Brutes are lucky they get it at 32. Stone Armor ... SOA have to respec at level 24 .. And so on
  15. None of it matters. We are insignificant biological pollution that resulted from the happenstance proximity of organic chemical compounds under the right conditions, on one coalasced ball of dust out of trillions. I would use "the" before insignificant, however that's probably putting on airs. However that's not really on topic. Neither is philosophy. Lots of melee sets have 14 second PBAOEs though, and they do fine. The attempt here seems to be to make SM functionally Dark Melee's version of a PBAOE. So it was fine. The level 7s will make it.

  17. Okay look at it this way. You get a choice Your Tier 3 attack power can have (Same animation) 4 second Recharge -or- 8 Second Recharge At level 7 the first choice is obviously better. You only have a few powers and you miss a lot more. But since damage is based on Recharge, which power is better in the long run? Ill take longer recharging / Better damage / Better DPA attacks every time. Even if you are just soloing Arcs (+0/x1) you barely spend 30 minutes at level 7. That's before you even add in the fact that longer recharging attacks proc more.

  21. The Esseless / Black Talon Flashpoints were fun ... That's about it as MMOs go.

  23. Yeah. No one can match the Melee burst damage of a Blaster. Fun times.
  24. Might be good to proc that chance for heal in the new Dark Consumption.
