We may be in one of those cyclic outrage sessions here.
Someone is mildly bothered ... then someone ups the ante ... someone tries to downplay ... flames begin.
As Arkasas explained the elemental support sets follow the pattern of the aspect (cold, thermal) so Shock does make sense.
Is Treatment better than Therapy? Who knows? Something else?
But I'm sure no malice was intended *at all* by the name, regardless of some of the reactions here.
All other Electric sets have Electric/Electrical in the name.
So it is a drift.
Electric Shock Therapy might be better if keeping the name is important.
Oddly, I was voted "Most likely to receive extensive shock therepay" in high school.
This set actually looks kind of cool whatever it ends up being called.
Rage already has +to hit
And you'll want Tactics to get the most from the guasians proc (keep rech of power <70 iirc)
Focused Accuracy is just a waste.
Its a great game.
Better than the first one really.
Probably better than any of the individual SWTOR class stories. But since there are 8 of those, that game is better.
SWTOR isn't really a MMO like cox is.
Basic Defense setup until you get better
Slot 4 of your ST attack powers with Kinetic Combats
Slot the 2 +3% Def IOs
Slot the 2 +Res IOs
All of WP except Resurgence and SOW are needed
Fighting Pool Tough and Weave
Combat Jumping
Basic slotting 2x Whatever of Def/Res/Heal, 1 End Red for Toggles
That gets you through the levels.
It was like they abandoned internal consistency for whatever reason.
Happens in a lot of Franchises. Some of the most horrible examples are in Comic books.
The quote by the Show Creator was something ridiculous like "Its not about the Story, its about the Characters."
I think the Reboot was better than the original
-BUT-
When they veered from the fleet on the run though, it just felt like they were abandoning the premise of the show. Then .. to make things worse there was the final 5 and so on etc.
I think those first 2 seasons of the reboot were brilliant.
A little bit of knockdown goes a long way on WP.
If you are taking damage .. AOE knockdown and then you'll have regened a huge amount before they get up.
I expect other mitigation helps similarly.
I think there was some resentment against Willpower back in the day, largely from some of the Invul proponents for stepping on some of its toes .. and it kind of hung around for a long time.
Like you I made a WP tanker on the first day WP went live, and I loved that character. The extra recovery really helped with Rage and Hasten end crashes and so on. And of course back then Stamina was not inherent.
Eventually as the better IOs came out it was a lot easier to patch up Invul's holes and improve its recovery (plus inh Stamina etc)
Have the villains rush you in waves at the entrance. Then one you get off the elevator.
The last floor can be a gauntlet like now.
And of course defeat alls, they could be dug in throughout.
Maybe the top boss, hostage, item isn't always at the top.
Would be cool if some missions started from the roof.
Think you may be double adding.
At the cap, its the cap. Your personal buff value influences how easy it is to get to the cap, but not the final result.
So I think Steampunkette is correct.
To put it another way. You have two level 50 MA scrappers one has 95% dam enhancement, the other only empty slots. If they are both buffed to the cap, and each hits Crane Kick those kicks will do the same damage.
No dispute that dominators, nor blasters are awesome
And both definitely belong in melee.
But they aren't Melee ATs, and they don't "scrap"
I'd say they Blast. The Dominator's attack set is basically akin to a sampling of Blaster's Primary/Secondary attacks.
