  1. But not Jiffy Pop (tm)
  2. COH being a comic book game is also probably pertinent.
  3. I would think Thor in any incarnation is going to be out. Since that's a pretty huge Marvel character. Maybe you could away with a Tyr or Freya or something.
  4. How much longer do they still count as rivals though? I mean at some point Michigan would have to win again, wouldn't they?
  5. On the old live game you definitely could not make Superman and keep it. It would have to be changed in some way substantial.
  6. Yeah, that's why DC and Marvel tend to push characters with names that are more easy to claim as "theirs" As opposed to names everyone uses.
  7. If you have a character name that's used by marvel, dc, abc, an anime, a movie, etc. and none of them are particularly popular, how do you even know? That's what i mean.
  8. A number of f list characters share names between multiple comic companies. As well as other media. That's probably beyond the scope here.
  9. On the plus side .. less aquaman clones ..
  10. This is really nbd since on homecomming you can change your name at will, and you get so many costume slots. Just go from a copy to a capt ersatz. Though probably don't make a "Captain Ersatz(tm)"
  11. I teamed with you on a couple of TFs with my SR/SS tanker Starmist I was the tanker not dying while that stone tanker farmed debt badges.
  12. Actually there was always a debuff attached. The -def crash just never triggered if you stacked even for a second. That was a bug. Prior to the -dmg/-def/-end crash, it would get the only affecting self treatment on crash, which was an issue for aggro control.
  13. Yeah, i think farm builds can basically be discounted as to their general popularity, or need for "balance" They are mainly there to get in game money to let people play their "normal" characters.
  14. I think using comic book characters is a bad example. Since many have different power levels based on author, power creep, retconned origins, different interpretations in different media, etc. Spiderman in comics for example supposedly can lift 25 tons these days. 30 years ago it was 10, before that he was 40 times human strength, he was often pictured lifting a motorcycle ... etc. In the comics he invents his webs, later his costume makes them, later he has to get rid of that evil costume. In some movies he can just shot web, in others he can't. Its probably worse the older the character is. Using the ones from back in 1963 like Spiderman, Iron man, and so on ... have more changes than more recent heroes.
  15. I never run Aid Self on my SRs either. Just Tough+Unique Res IOs+Sets+Health Uniques Sometimes they will tag you a bit but when you are at 30% health you take less damage so usually you can just ride it out. Works even better on my Tank, maybe the scaling resists are based on Tanker scale. Never really bothered to figure it out.
  16. Titan Weapons running out of End would definitely jive with my experience leveling one up, also the fact you spend a lot of time staring at all your icons recharging. Momentum+High End use makes everything bursty.
  17. This kind of sums it up really. You can be level 4 just street sweeping in Atlas park in an hour? Less? And that's the slowest way to level probably. RP-wise just say you didn't need to fly before then. While I don't think the free power will hurt, I also don't see the reason for it. The 5 power pools would "hurt" more if that's included, even if I did mention I could see why some people might want it.
  18. Ah yeah. That one would be a good one.
  19. I just got done running my second blaster to 50 (fire/martial), and I lold at the adorable description. Its very true, in real play no one really comes close to blasters offensively. You don't even have to chase your targets down.
  20. Oh. I kind of assumed the Superbrute would be built for 90% S/L res and 45% S/L def. Thus tough and weave. Though with the propsed tankers you can much more easily just build a tanker probably. No fighting needed.
  21. Actually my real vote would be a motorcycle, but oh well. I tend to prefer non super powered concepts, which ironically means I'm free to use those pools described.
  22. Jetpacks again. Which was my vote.
  23. Well sure, but that was the point. No one else is going to need 5 pools.
  24. Not even sure what that means? It was just an example i came up with. Im sure other people might have other reasons to want 5 pools. Though they might be disinclined to present them. Dodging tomatoes and all that.
  25. The majority of wanabe kryptonians I see around seem to be brutes. Maybe with the tanker changes, that will also change.
