What are the powersets with the least rooting and/or fastest animations?
Haijinx replied to c67f's topic in Archetypes
Crushing Uppercut. I dont know where undercut came from, lol -
Even before the unnerf of the Roman expys they were tough on willpower. My strategy for WP scrappers was Shadow Meld, for Tankers was a tough build. My WP brute was claws, so I would lead with shockwave. But it never worked as good as my Claws/SR brute. You should be able to get over 80% S/L resist though, so that would be a good start.

It was the Focused Feedback thread that grew out of this post by Capt PH So it was around that time period. The search feature could use a little improvement, or my ability to use it could. I'm having trouble finding just threads in Beta with Rage in them from x date to y date. So yeah, for a short time in May of 2019 Single stacked Rage was most definitely not going to have a crash, but the values would have been full. Caph PH is talking about it like its a done deal here. Course it WAS a done deal till the double ragers .. um .. raged about it.
-
No they rejected it because they felt it was a bit klutzy with the halo ring, and some were annoyed that they were going to still get the crash on Double Rage. Remember that side of the argument claims the base numbers of SS are so so low that they need a single stack of rage just to be as good as normal sets. I'd have to find it, its in the beta server section If I remember correctly.

True. Oblivion 2006, Skyrim 2011 .... 10 years and not even a teaser yet

The Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime

I figured some of the issues were budget restraints. But then I read the average cost was 10million per episode! Really not sure on what yet. -
Cowboy Bebop (2021, live action)

I have never seen the anime version, though I had meant to someday. I just finished the first episode of this. I thought it was really good. -
That's kind of the whole thing about SS, its the definition of a late bloomer. With a durable IO build, Double Rage and with Footstomp its pretty awesome, but damn are those early levels painful.

Maybe it was just another, simpler age, lol -
The Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime

Okay finished the first 3 episodes .. Its still all right, but it has diverged even more than I expected. I wonder if they are going to continue through The Eye of the World storyline, or bypass that in some way and move on to the beginning of The Great Hunt. Which would of course let them move the story faster. The Eye of the World did have a fair amount of early installment weirdness involved. One thing that really bothers me I'll put in spoilers. This one spoils the TV Series and the Book Series, so fair warning. -
The one I am talking about was actually implemented on Test, not this one. So its later. No one was interested in any sort of damage reduction to single rage because they like how broken foot stomp is but want to pretend that it is not a PBAOE outlier.

Single Rage had zero crash, Double+ Rage got a Crash. It was still a click with a Halo effect like many of the attack gimmicks we have now. The Double rage changed the -20 Def to a 20% Resist and -10 Def crash Full Rage value +20 / +80 just like now
-
And yet, when offered a no crash single rage option by Capt PH, it was rejected.

The Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime
Haijinx replied to Ohsirus's topic in Comic, Hero & Villain Culture
Yeah, Just finished Episode 1. Is it bad? No. Faithful adaption of the Book? Also No. Better than the Book? No. But if you prefer watching a series to reading some 4 million word mega epic of 14 door stopping books. Then its all right so far. I've watched a lot worse. I'll keep watching. Some of the changes seem to be aimed at making the thing move quicker. Since telling the same story for the events surrounding Bel Tyne probably could easily have been stretched into 3 episodes. I'll put some comments in spoilers, though I will still try to be a bit circumspect. -

They will have to change a lot. It will have to be an abridged version even best case. The series dwarfs the scale of Game of Thrones, although at least its completed to the extent it could be. So no GOT season 8 analogue. Simple logistics bother me. If they do say 1 book per season, thats 14 seasons. In the unlikely event it doesnt get cancelled by that time, how old are the actual actors going to be by then? The entire series is supposed to take place in the span of about 2 years for one thing, for another a large number of the characters are supposed to age slowly due to their ability to channel. The Aes Sedai are supposed to look ageless due to a combination of that longevity and their use of the oath rod. But judging how they are depicted in the trailers, this aspect is being ignored. There are already some significant changes in the trailers. Rand seems to be shorter than Perrin for example. The Two Rivers becomes 1 town. Rand and Egwene have a physical relationship. All of these have plot implications. Im looking forward to watching it, ive reread the series in the time since I heard it was coming out. But I think it will be impossible to replicate the books. At least they arent trying to cram it into a movie series. Some tv series end up being better than the books. The Expanse comes to mind. I dont think this one will though. But hopefully its at leaat worth watching. -
SMDH Another writer's excuse for more power creep. Hated that whole story line though, lol.
-
Yeah. I think they were lifted wholesale based on the Marvel Comic Handbooks also. Back then my friends and I specifically preferred Marvel over DC, one of the reasons is they Heroes had more defined limitations, and the power level was a bit more reasonable. In hindsight though, that is pretty funny.

Symbiote yes, he had just gotten it around that time The Symbiote and eventually Venom storyline would come later. Originally the next Symbiote host was a massive body builder. Him lifting weights a lot was specifically shown. There were no mention in any of the books I read at the time that the symbiote increased his strength. There was an effort though to portray Spidey as a much more capable fighter than in earlier works. He had fought the entire Xman team to a standstill (not beating them but fighting his way past them) a few months prior to that when they were "conspiring" away from the group during the Super Secret Wars.
-
Its like the Supergirl show. Everyone who has super strength is ahown able to go toe to toe in a fight, at leaat for a time. Even though Supergirl is shown lifting an entire mountain prison complex thing.

That was right after the same Herald had beat up the Thing without even working up a sweat.
