  1. There is a good Fire Set though. Just make a Blaster. It's first best.
  2. At least ST or AOE I guess. It should definitely be the best at some damage catagory. Or you know if that is too much to ask, at least second best. Or you know, 3rd Best. 3rd Best would be an improvement over now.
  3. The big one for me is that at 75% Resist you only Resist 75% of damage, you don't resist any of the status effects With Def if you avoided 75% of attacks you also avoid those status effects
  4. I mean you'd still probably be fine unless playing incarnate or enemies buffed. But that is because COX is too easy.
  5. Yeah I mean. I figure the war is over may as well embrace it.
  6. Energy blast has standard damage also. But sure if they want to turn it into fire blast with Energy Blast's progression, effects and animations, sounds good in that whole Power Creep kind of way.
  7. This would be an issue Energy Blast is the Most "Normal" Blaster Set for Powers and Power Progression. T1 Blast T2 Blast Cone AOE T3 Blast Sniper Aim Ranged ST Control Ranged AOE Nuke It has no derivations like the other sets do. Removing Aim would end that situation. Besides this is just a Knockback Thread.
  8. Also very popular at parties where they forgot to buy Ice.
  9. Fire/ is probably the way to go. You will be sturdier than a Blaster being a Sent. And its about as high Damage as Sents get.
  10. Ice needs buffed in order to compare to other Tanker Primary Sets That said, it has a lot of tools you can use. You can make /Regen good, so obviously you can make ICE/ good.
  11. It sort of does. But Energy Torrent is wider and MUCH faster than Firebreath, so when tossing around AOEs it doesn't feel quite so behind in the thick of things. And when Energy Blasting everything keeps getting knocked down like you are the Super Bowler, which feels powerful. That and all Blasters are pretty damn good at wiping out baddies in job lots. I think on Galaxy Brain's sheet Energy is pretty high on the list too, but definitely behind Fire.
  12. I meant the NRG/NRG needs to use kb to kd in the AOEs to really take advantage of NRG/ active mitigation without losing damage. The FIRE/NRG of course does not. I left the secondary out since both were the same. Sorry for any confusion.
  13. Brutes got high recharges, so better relative damage numbers back when Brutes were closer to Scrappers and before ATOs Seems less great now though.
  14. How well does TW do these days? I know after it got nerfed it became Typhoid Mary. But where does it actually stand now in the Damage standings for Scraps?
  15. Fire will do more damage, by a fair amount. Nrg has a lot of active mitigation. Though to make it work without scattering groups put KB->KB in the AOEs. So there are times NRG will live when Fire dies.
  16. Don't think EA actually has a taunt aura for scrappers. It has a PBAOE debuff aura without the taunt component I believe. Which is better than nothing but less .. glue-y.
  17. Figurately also. Just not metaphysically.
  18. 10k? /Jranger
  19. So basically like a Brute without a taunt aura. And of course no fighting pool.
  20. True, my favorite EA build is not softcapped on neg def without an Energy Drain. It is capped for S/L/E/F/C with no drain. I havent bothered to build for any PSI protection, if I have any its incidental. And of course I need to keep an Eye out for Def Debuffs, which you don't have to do on SR. NIN numbers are slightly lower than SR aren't they? So would take more IO's. They do get AOE defense MUCH eariler though. You could have your basic Melee/Ranged and AOE shields all running by level 2 if you wanted. I guess it depends how much Exemping you plan on doing. You can solve the SR AOE problem by playing Stalker or Brute instead though I suppose. NIN has the most tools though, HEAL, End recovery, Active mitigation, Stealth, Crit buff, Movement buffs. But you lose the Recharge buff. Which would be a pain to build around since I like perma hasten.
  21. EA is easier to Cap at an earlier level for a few reasons, mostly involving IOs You have an in set resist mule for your two +3% Def IOs, so you can slot them before you have Tough. S/L is easy to build with either Smashing Haymaker or Kinetic Combat 4 slots S/L stacks with the temp power Kinetic Damper - really nice early SR on scrappers has horrible level progression because of the AOE hole. EA doesn't have that. At 50 though neither is really easier to build than the other. EA just exemping a little better below level 30.
  22. I preferred the Netflix shows to the Disney stuff. And Daredevil in particular to most of the MCU theatrical stuff. But then I prefer the whole two fisted gritty Gotham style Vigilante to the Cosmic Powered Super Hero. Also I think Action for Action's sake with little dialog beyond Snark and weak character development has become too prevalent in modern Movies, and the Disney Stuff is basically just extended MCU movies cut up into 6 parts. But I get that my tastes are not the norm. And the disney stuff is far superior to the CW stuff.
