  1. I stopped reading at worrying about people who think Blasters aren't DPS. I can't play with people that stupid.
  2. Blasters already do more damage than Stalkers. And there's a Ninja Secondary for Blasters already with a bonus damage from hide. Though one with build-up might be better YMMV Just pick a Primary with a Snipe.
  3. I don't like Jedi in COH. It is un-immersive for me. Paragon City is not the the GFFA But sure alien force sword people whatever I guess.
  4. The interior shots of that Command Module are amazing. Somehow better than a lot of Sci Fi Bridges. At least to me.
  5. Ha. I think we are older on this forum than people suspect in general.
  6. This would have interesting connotations in certain .. under-clothed .. entertainment venues where a lot of Beers get accidentally kicked over.
  7. This is my thought. However I do love the idea for new MMOs in general. So I feel like it deserves consideration just on how much fun something like that would be. I wonder if it would work in more modern take on a SCI FI small unit combat MMO like Anarchy Online originally was, or Tabula Rasa, Or Neocron or something.
  8. Might be cool. But without AOE zone indicators for the players (like in a lot of newer games) might really be hard to deal with.
  9. Also the Gotham characters with powers tend to be on the low end of the scale. At least when they are first introduced in Gotham. Power creep comes in when they hit other titles. Killer Croc comes to mind. Bane. Etc. Or they may have powers but use them less in Gotham. Black Canary almost never uses her cry in Birds of Prey.
  10. Sorry its a long going Forum Meme. All Regen Threads must contain a Nerf Regen post. No one actually wants it nerfed. Most of us want it to be buffed a bit. --- With Regen you need lots of Recharge for your clickies. You need good Regen of course. Decent S/L Resistance and Defense pays off very well on Regen. So I suggest Tough and Weave.
  11. Nerf Regen slotting.
  12. That's basically it. Even a causal player can afford purples on ONE character at current prices. I have ONE character that is "Purpled Out" (8 purple sets if you count the ATOs, all the shiny uniques, etc etc.). I have no purples on any other characters. If I need for some reason to perform in the Perma-Hasten, nigh-invulnerable, high performance role I can do that on that one character. Just as good as someone that lives full time in COH and has 15 characters at that build level.
  13. This is true. And SWTOR isn't bad compared to a older MMO like Everquest or Anarchy Online. In AO you could save up a month's worth of raid points and maybe get loot rights for one piece of gear.
  14. I want a /Jranger one. Not that I would use it on this thread. Just sayin'
  15. Yeah but in SWTOR you only needed that better gear for PVP. You could (I did) run through all the stories with just whatever gear you got as quest rewards for quests you would do anyway. Actually I spent a lot of time overlevelled for stuff due to all the side quests. And that was before they made the game even easier by genercisizing Stats making companions merely an aesthetic/story choice. That's for a game that is basically a solo game with some co-op thrown in. (PVE wise)
  16. okay. 1000 then. Hmm. That's only like 2/3rds as many purples I need now!
  17. Well.. yeah .. okay. This is true. But .. I have 1500 character slots per server! That's a lot of purples I need!
  18. No! More money is always better. Its More Better! Pffts. Inflation. Economy. Prices.
  19. Some people want to be casual. AND have armies of alts. AND have lots of purple sets for all of them. Y'all are just haters. Instead of the OP's idea though, lets just give all purples away for FREE@!@!!!111
  20. Wont work unless you change the recharge on Jab, Punch and Haymaker (Basically double them, so base damage is a normal Primary level) But sure - that would work at that point.
  21. I'd argue there definitely is a problem. But the majority of people are fine with the status quo. If you have vast chunks of level 50 characters that live their whole lives at the rails of your entire system, there is a problem..
  22. I have only anecdotal data. I'm just a MMO player. Why would I have any other kind? In my experience the following is true. People will take the easiest path to get what they want for their characters in MMO games. If Harder content is optional they will only chose that Option if given an incentive. Typically this is either Loot they can not get elsewhere. More Loot per Hour. Or More Experience per Hour. There are no No-drops in COH. No special Loot really at all. I can get everything on the market. Playing the game on teams is not the best way to earn Influence Experience is already super easy to get Specific to COH Anytime Ive ever run a Task Force and anyone chose any Challenge Settings no one wants anything other than a Timer or a # of Defeats (which mean nothing) No one ever wants to fight the harder groups unless its the Weekly Task Force. I don't see a significant incentive being added. Higher End Loot? More Power Creep? Even Faster XP? Even Faster Influence?
  23. No. You were the one claiming Coyote didn't understand the game. And you said doing so was not Arrogant. Therefore the burden of proof is on you. I simply pointed out you are in an odd place to criticize others on that score since you said you aren't familiar with other game systems. All these games are ultimately based on the Tabletop games of the past. Heck the whole "5% minimum chance to hit and 95% maximum chance to hit" is DIRECTLY lifted from Dungeons and Dragons where a 1 always missed and a 20 always hit, no matter what the modifier. Knowing other systems, you see how they handle balance. The whole Superhero part is just the sheetmetal. Under the hood its a RPG game. Modifiers, die-rolls and so on. Just like fantasy games and Sci Fi games and all the rest. But maybe you understand the game system back and forward and RPG game theory and all the rest. I don't know. It would be Arrogant for me to presume to, wouldn't it?
