  1. Important buying tip for high price items Bid 50%-75% if the "Buy now" rate (what most the recents sold for) and wait a week or so. You often get a bargain. You can save a lot of Inf that way.
  2. There's full set builds but also the really no Influence spared builds. I've done quite a few of the former. Say in the 200 mil budget range.
  3. I think in context they are referring to Builds like you see posted on the Archetypes sub forums. Mids Pron as it were.
  4. No no. I'm referring to the post made about how horrible it was 2xinf was over now they can't have more than 10 Purple Alts Thus tragedy. Not you at all. The Irony was .. that the marketeer had about the same amount.
  5. Wait ... the unrepentant marketer and the dismayed farming advocate both have roughly the same number of purpled-out build Alts? Lol
  6. I have 1 Which is my first/only no expense spared build ever tbh. I made much of the money doing a completionist run of solo story arcs (gold, blue and red) The rest was task forces. Just get merits sell converters repeat.
  7. There was probably a break even level somewhere where if you exemped at level 30 or whatever it equaled level 50 with the 2x But yes it was removed at all levels, had to be.
  8. Hmm, it seems self evident that if someone were in the camp reaping the extra exploited influence, that they now make less influence. At least if all they do is what they did before. Whether or not they understand economics is besides the point. There are people who are arguing for a return to the exploit that are making arguments with a lot of false claims about how economics works though. Also they are wasting their time. No way the devs change it back now. Will. Never. Happen.
  9. You could run AE farms at level 49 and get the whole exemping down bonus AND nearly level 50 normal rewards at the same time or something. I imagine it wasn't actually exactly 2x50 but whatever level 49 gets x2 vs what level 50 gets. 1.99x (whatever) exploit doesn't sound as cool though.
  10. I don't remember if that was you or not. It was a post about someone who couldn't find the motivation to Farm anymore due to the change, and they were stuck with only about 10x Billion INF build Alts and couldn't do the rest due to the now unbearable time required. (basically) If you made that post - then it was you! If you did not - then it was not you! I mean, I'd go back and find the post. But I can't due to the unbearable time required. Do I understand that the change negatively impacted those people using the 2xInfluence exploit to their advantage? Well duh. It was supposed to negatively impact them. I think the poorly educated ignoramus part is completely separate, its more along the lines that some people who do not understand Basic Economics are going all Dunning-Kruger MacroE up in this thread. The fact some of those same people support the 2xInfluence Exploit may be entirely coincidental.
  11. I'm still stuck on the main opponent to the change grousing that the problem is they can no longer have billion+ inf builds for ALL their alts.. This is not a MMO economy problem. This is a Monty Haul Campaign issue. I think I'm beginning to see the real issue with COH as it exists today. Its a munchkin campaign.
  12. All is proceeding as I have foreseen ...
  13. If possible, sure.
  14. A lot of that stuff did exist by the time Praetoria/Going Rogue came out though.
  15. You have to shoot the Necro-Threads in the head.
  16. Yes. Defense gives you effectively status affect avoidance. Since a lot of effects miss. Since even with your Ato humming along you'll only have 1-2 mag protection, if you can't avoid effects you'll be stunned/held/etc a lot.
  17. In real play the inevitable multi-Manuevers spam from your team-mates make survivability issues moot on most maps.
  18. That's why I'd suggest if they want to go the "ranged scrapper" route, lower range again to 40 feet. Which would probably be workable. Mitigation could probably be reduced slightly, small changes would probably be rendered meaningless due to IOs though.
  19. Defense is much better for blasters. Due to the way Status effects work. Its the /flame part that is making it harder since that armor adds resist not def Choose /mace instead and its pretty easy to get lots of S/L def with Scorpion Shield
  20. Proofs MA Tankers predate COH
  21. you can go to Pocket D though And do AE missions and level up. So you could be level 50 before leaving if you wanted.
  22. evidently its good for hunting zombies ...
  23. I did, but got distracted by street justice ...
  24. There is an IO that makes all your snipes insta. The set has decent bonuses. Maybe they could do the same thing that makes them all slow.
  25. We here at left Twixt hereby denounce what right Twixt may or may not have done.
