That doesn't work for everyone. For instance, when I did it, through Ouroboros thankfully because that character had already done the arc so I was able to just abandon it, I targeted the portal before closing to attack as well. And my not fully enhanced yet level 50 non-incarnate character needed 4 hits to destroy the portal. My character died attacking the portal due to the plethora of bosses the portal spawned. I went back into the mission and finished off the portal, and died doing so again. Went back into the mission and just flew past the mobs from the 1st portal and found the 2nd portal was just as full of already spawned enemies as the 1st portal, and abandoned the mission. (Edit: And as I stated earlier in the thread, I was at -1/x1. It was listed as -1/x0 because that character never changed the team size setting, but the mission was tried at -1/x1. I can't lower the difficulty more than that.) (Edit again: Though since the thread has the internally fixed flag, hopefully next time I come across this mission, it will be completable.)

Not to mention the added cost of restoring what you already had to make a different change adds up too.

Yes. I created an alternate account and tried sending inf' to my 1st character there, but the global wasn't what I thought. (I hadn't changed it yet.) So I went to the alternate account and corrected the global, and the e-mail was still gone forever. Send to something non-existent, watch the sent disappear.

Babbage does spawn in Boomtown regardless of whether he is spawned by a Synapse or not. And he does have set spawn points. He just moves around. Isn't that a toned down, weaker version of Jurassik? I could have sworn it wasn't a full-fledged GM in that mission. (Edit: Just like Adamastor in that one instanced mission is also not a GM but is a weaker, toned version.)

I know this part. The part my question was aimed at is combining what are 2 different powers into 1 for Stalkers. If people want to have Caltrops replaced with the +END power, then they can make that suggestion. I will of course oppose that on the grounds that they are taking away a power that others use, but I am not one of them, so at least my opposition won't be as dogged as normal. That is a matter of opinion, though I do admit that Scrappers with their added on version of Ninjitsu did get a better version. (Edit: My MA/Nin Stalker at level 50 with no incarnate stuff even started was clearing BAF spawns alone twice as fast as the rest of the team I left behind that were working together, and at much less risk back on Live. [Edit again: And they had incarnates with them. And I still solo cleared 4 of the crates before the team caught up to me.] Though I have yet to get that same character back to 50 here on HC.)

Yeah, like I said in my 2nd post, after we finished clearing the Safeguard and exited the map, my snipe resumed working correctly. I don't get it other than it is inconsistent.

All stealth powers should have a no fade option

We're just going to go in circles. I'll just say I agree to disagree and bow out. -
All stealth powers should have a no fade option

Sure, but when they sneak, they are sticking to the shadows, they are crouching behind obstacles, and they are not walking down wide, empty hallways with nowhere to hide under the watchful eyes of more than a dozen foes or walking up to said foes and making faces at them in their face. (Edit: And they still aren't showing off their costumes. They are still trying to avoid being seen. So if their allies don't know where they are, they won't be able to look at their costumes and go "Hey, is that a new buckle? Nice!".) Whereas we don't have 1st person shooter/RPG stealth mechanics so we can just walk down those nice wide, empty hallways full of enemies and have nice little chats with each other without whispering while standing directly in front of our enemies and emoting making faces or whatever at them without them ever seeing our not invisible keisters. Edit again: And for that matter, as @Greycat asked, what will tell the rest of your team that you are indeed hidden and sneaking so they don't just follow after you and cause you to have to fight everything anyway? -
And if you use the LFG tool and your connection goes flaky, boot? That is still a massive problem. You are still electing to kick people not because they decide they don't have time or because they are causing problems, but because something else is interfering with their ability to stay online. Edit: For that matter, does the game even differentiate between how players joined a team? Like it knows this person on the team joined because (s)he/they used the LFG tool, this one joined because (s)he/they announced "LFG" on Broadcast, this one joined by sending the team leader a tell and getting invited, this one joined because (s)he/they were standing near the team leader at the rally point, and this one joined because (s)he/they are friends with the team leader and they were planning on doing this TF/SF together in the first place?

Why should Stalkers get a heal + toxic resist + endurance power while Scrappers only get the heal + toxic resist? Yes, the Stalker set loses a power to get Hide, but they also get Hide.
-
And now you have to wait until you can either recruit enough people to try again and hope you don't DC again or find another team to try again and hope you don't DC again. Because nothing screams fun in a game more than trying to do something and constantly having to start over without getting to the end through no fault of your own. Edit: Or what about friends with very limited play time but have something come up during the TF/SF, such as one of their children got hurt, so you all pause the TF/SF until the next time they are on, only now you have to completely start over and hope they don't have another family emergency during their very limited play time?

Yeah, this works for me. You've got my support. 👍

All stealth powers should have a no fade option

This is going to get several thumbs down, but.... When you are sneaking, the last thing you should want to be doing is 'showing off your costume'. Even to teammates. Stealth isn't about having eye catching looks for your friends, acquaintances, and enemies to be oohing and awing over. When you want others to marvel and be amazed at your costume design? Stop being sneaky. When you want to be sneaky, remember that you are trying to not be seen. -
I oppose this part. With the frequency with which I've been disconnected from the game or someone I was teamed with was disconnected because of our connection, being forced out of the TF/SF and so not being able to finish what we started when we get back on seems unfair to me. (Edit: Actually, I oppose a few other parts too, but some of those, like the auto-remove someone from their solo mission I'm kind of but not really sure that can't be done. So the auto-remove others just because they had a DC is going to be my focus.)

I actually find myself doing that a lot... normally because the reward table is offering an inspiration or something else I don't have room for, don't need, or don't care about. Edit: Though I should also point out if we have the option/ability to, I won't give others Patrol XP either unless they specifically tell me they would like me to do so.

Okay, I'm not even going to ask how in hell that works or what exactly she is doing, but thank you for letting me know where I could find it.
-
Or maybe you can explain it so the rest of us can follow along?
-
Okay, this is a derailment and I apologize for it, but can someone please explain what you mean by changeling? I thought it was just another way of saying tri-form, but this discussion shows it obviously is not.

You can already do this by making an Invulnerability character or a Willpower character or pick a subtle armor set character and using the stone skin textures. Problem solved. Here's another fun experiment. Try sneaking around when you are trying to show off your costume to everyone. It doesn't work. The people you don't want seeing you see you because you are out there showing off your costume. The fade is replicate our characters trying not to be seen even when they sneak down a nice wide, empty passage full of enemies that by all rights should have no problems seeing us for not being invisible. You can achieve this by going with a more subtle armor set that mechanically does what you think your character should be doing and using the appropriate aura for the effect you want.

So you wouldnt run it twice/join just because/helping someone elses group and get a little something? What does stating a reward isn't worth selecting have to do with whether or not someone will run something multiple times to help others or just because their friends want to do it? My stance on Patrol XP as reward is a given. Or at least I expect it to be so by this point in time. More sources of something I wish never existed and wish that I had the option to disable from my own experience? No thanks.

Then 1st step is fixing that.

Well, I don't have a stake in this debate, so my comments don't really matter. However, these are my thoughts: 1) If the data is available and human form only Kheldians are only 1/2 as good as other Kheldians, per @Laucianna's tests if the data can be provided, and that is not a strictly damage comparison which will always favor Nova form to the best of my knowledge, then maybe the baseline powers need another look. (To me at least, the human form should be somewhere in the middle of the Nova form and the Dwarf form for capability, but that is just me.) 2) I think the Nova and Dwarf forms should keep their transformations. It is part of their lore. 3) I think a new EAT that works along the lines of the shown Vixen clips would be a novel extrapolation of the Kheldian idea. Though I think the 'transformation' for such an EAT should maintain the transformation's form as an outline, ghost image, or other maintained effect to show it is in use. Again, I don't play Kheldians, so I have no stake in this debate, those are just my thoughts on the matter.

There were 2 of us. My Dominator and her Beast Mastery MM. However, the 2 of us were almost never anywhere near each other as we worked on different parts of the map looking for the Warhulks. I was at long range and nothing was reacting to my presence, and she was nowhere near me or the spawn each time. There were no sniper class mobs on the map. And each time I went to snipe a Council Eclipse Nightwolf Champion, Galaxy Adjutant, or a support mob near them, the entire spawn would turn to face me at long range and immediately run into long range for their attacks and start attacking me while my snipe was building up. However, they never interrupted my snipe, even when they fired before me, despite me not having anything to reduce the snipe's interrupt time and the snipe being the long form version. If it helps any, they never reacted at the start of the snipe. I'm not entirely sure, but I think they were reacting after a short form snipe time. Edit: I should also point out that after we cleared the map and exited the mission, I could snipe foes normally again.

I'm running through the Brickstown Safeguard and every time I go to snipe an enemy at range, they turn and charge me before I even fire my snipe. I'm running an Elec'/Elec' Dominator and the snipe is Zapp.
