I mean, in all actuality, WP (on paper) looks great! You can get respectable defenses, decent resists, and A LOT of regeneration. It may take quite a bit of influence to afford it, but it still looks attractive.
-
Willpower. On the forums and in game, you don't just see much of WP. I know it doesn't have a damage aura, and relies a bit more on the actual "Taunt" power, but why? Why is it that WP has kinda been deemed the red headed step child? I really can't remember the last time I saw a WP tank in game. So, today, Old Man Kowalski made his debut in Paragon City. Wanting to settle down in a peaceful community to live out the remainder of his years, Kowalski just wanted to enjoy life. However, those pesky little Outcasts had other plans. They continued to vandalize the neighborhood, even as Kowalski sat on his front porch drinking and watching. The straw that broke the camel's back was when they tore up his yard. Kowalski jumped up and grabbed the first thing he saw...an old tree branch that he planned on whitling on. He taught those young punks a lesson...stay of his lawn! Anyway...this will be my first attempt at WP and my first attempt with Staff. We'll see how it goes.

I actually took Musculature bc I found I didnt really need any of the other buffs (defense, resist, etc). Recharge would be helpful just to get your powers back quicker. I suppose if you wanted to go overboard you could swap it for another to gain defense and recharge.
-
As far as I know, since the powers are from different players they would all stack. That's why Radiation Emission "Superteams" were so popular.
-
Tank is radiation armor

How is staff anyway? Haven't tried it out yet.

Hope fully you can see this. Here's my build on my Bio/Rad Tank. In OFFENSIVE stance, here's his stats: DEFENSE: Smash/Lethal 39.2 Fire/Cold 51.3 Energy/N. Energy 47.8 Psi 32.9 Melee 38.6 Ranged 22.6 AoE: 26.7 RESISTS Smash/Lethal 76 Fire/Cold 24.5 Energy/N. Energy 26 Toxic 56.8 Psi 13.8 Regenerating 96.3 hp/sec and has 2734 HP In DEFENSIVE Stance: DEFENSE: Smash/Lethal 49.2 Fire/Cold 59.9 Energy/N Energy 56.5 Psi 38.1 Melee 38.6 Ranged 22.6 AoE 26.7 RESISTS: Capped Smash/Lethal (93.08) Fire/Cold 33.6 Energy/N Energy 35.1 Toxic 73.9 Psi 22.6 Regenerating 96.3 HP/Sec and has 2902 HP. I went for set bonuses that increase Regeneration and HP mainly, then added in some defense/resist. It may not be the absolute best, or a "Proc Monster", but I don't die. I hold aggro, and live...which is what tankers do. Damage isn't bad either 😜

I'll pull it up later and see. I only had 1 slot in hasten. The new build would have 2. And has anyone noticed that the numbers in Mids don't represent "true" values in game? They're close, but there's still a small discrepancy.

I'd like to see 8 Oil Slick Arrows in action. BURN BABY BURN 🔥
-
I'm taking a break from cleaning right now, but if memory serves me correctly the only difference between the 2 builds was about 5% positional defense. HP/Regen was about the same, and I was able to fit another slot into hasten.
-
Call Ravens BEGS to be slotted with procs...and if done so, really amps up your damage.
-
So, I was playing around in Mids reborn, seeing if I could improve my Rad/Spines tank any. Eventually, I was able to get capped resistance to smash/lethal/fire/energy/toxic/ and psychic. However, in doing so I am going to sacrifice and only have positional defense (melee/ranged/AoE) in the mid to upper 20s. This is without incarnate powers. As he is now, the tank is "fine". Holds aggro well, survives, and brings a lot of value to teams (at least I think so). He offers -regen, -slow, - to hit debuff (Soul Mastery: Darkest Night), and of course a team heal. But, being a tank, there's ALWAYS room for improvement, right? Would it be beneficial to sacrifice a little defense in order to cap your Psi resistance? I wanna hear your all's thoughts.

I have 0 experience with Staff. Maybe I need to change that...🤔 Bio...pretty much every power is important and you'll want to take. I have a bio/rad tank and he's nigh indestructible. I took tough/weave and Maneuvers to bump everything up just a wee bit more. I'm not at my PC, but I can post my build if you want. (I use Mids reborn and it never posts powers/slots/IOs...just a link. Wish I could figure out why)

I don't believe Field Operative stacks with any other form of concealment.
-
I have a thugs/cold at 50. I can attest that this combo is STOUT. Pets are soft capped, plus Cold has all the extra goodies...-regen, -to hit, -resistance, -defense, + end recovery, etc etc. It's a fun and powerful build. Plus teams usually love what /Cold has to offer.
-
However, the Beasts would be soft capped, and you should be able to slot KB->KD IOs . You'd have to pick up Medicine for Heal Other, and use an Epic pool to perhaps get some extra damage. I don't see this as the worst. I had one and leveled it to 24, then deleted it. Why? Bc I forgot how BORING FF is. I'd be close between Ninja/TA and Mercs/TA as the "worst" performing combo. (However, with perseverance, determination, and smart slotting, every combo is playable).
-
I'm an advocate for Beasts. I love them. My beast/time chews through mobs. Dont understand why they get such a bad rep.
-
Level 50 Energy/Devices here, so here's a few thoughts... - end is not an issue. Even cycling your attacks, running all leadership, targeting drone, field operative , hover and hasten. You won't run out of end. - trip mine gets a bad rep, but laying down 6 or 8 mines, then pulling a group to them? Damn, it's fun. And never gets old. - toe bomb if you want. You're stealthy with Field operative. Helps even more on teams since someone else will have aggro - gun drone is so so. I keep it summoned all the time, just dont expect huge numbers from it. It does so-so damage. On a team fighting an AV, the damage will add up however. - insta snipe all the time. - +to hit and accuracy galore! Nothing's worse than missing! - the ppl I run with hate KB, as most do, so i slotted the KB->KD procs in my powers -can achieve decent defenses and perma hasten -caltrops BEGS for procs - field operative is awesome - and as with all Energy blasters, the BOOM is awesome
-
I have a DM/Bio scrapper and it's stupid good. Excellent defenses/resists and regeneration makes him hard to beat. Good ST damage, although AoE is a little lacking. Works wonders against tough enemies bc of the -to hit in DM. He's kinda like the Energizer bunny...just keeps going and going...
-
Looks like you have 6 of the LotG:Global recharges, or I cant count. One of the 2. That 6th one you will not be getting any benefit from due to rule of 5. You need to drop one of them somewhere. Maybe in CJ and slot it with Resist Slow enhancement? Or in artic fog and pick up something else there? Other than that, at first glance, it looks good! What level are you, and how are you enjoying it?
-
Some scrappers go to therapists... Scrap: I've...I've seen things... Dr : oh? Like what? Scrap: Bodies. Dead bodies. Dr: hmm...ok? Scrap: All at my feet. Dr: Well, this isn't really "normal". Scrap: YES IT IS! LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR!!! 🤘

Try and get the +defense, +resist, and the +regen MM ATOs. You'll probably have to do some frankenslotting. Definitely add the -resist to Soldiers. Off the top of my head, I can't remember how I slotted my pets (merc/thermal here). I have a necro/dark MM, and on him i slotted dark Servant with cloud senses (accurate to hit debuff). I'd say be sure to slot darkest night with as much to hit debuff as you can, since you'll need it. Also, slot out shadow fall as it will help also. Maneuvers will pair nicely with your to hit debuffs. I will say, since the patch, it's quite satisfying seeing your Soldiers, Spec Ops, and Cammando all lay waste to your enemies and see all those empty shell casings flying and piling up at your feet.

I'm leveling an Energy/Dev blaster and trying to figure out how to soft cap ranged. Guess it's back to the Mids Reborn drawing board!
-
I currently have Frostwork. I take turns applying it between the Bruiser and Arsonist. I've decided that they really dont need it....at least in my experience. The soft cap defenses are just that good. YMMV
