Clarification : Enchantment Sets - Booster vs Attuned
Major_Decoy replied to JMacClear's topic in General Discussion
So, if you use the auction house, an attuned enhancement shares the same pool as an unattuned enhancement. If someone puts a level 30 Touch of Death Acc/Dam on the Market it can be purchased as an attuned Touch of Death Acc/Dam or a level 35 Touch of Death Acc/Dam or a level 40... soonandsoforth. If someone puts an attuned Touch of Death Acc/Dam on the Market it can be purchased as a level 36 soonandsoforth. So, the advantage of attuned and boosted: Set bonuses: Once you have an enhancement slotted, you are eligible to receive set bonuses from it. If you have a level 25 Luck of the Gambler: Defense and a level 30 Luck of the Gambler: Defense/Endurance Reduction slotted at level 27, you will get the 10% Regeneration. If you exemplar down to level 25, you will lose the 10% regeneration because you are no longer high enough level to equip a level 30 enhancement. If you are level 32 and have a level 25, 30, and 35 equipped, you will get the regeneration and the +health. If you exemplar down to 30 you lose the +health, if you exemplar down to 25 you lose the regeneration. This is not true for all sets. Purple Sets and PVP sets will provide set bonuses at all levels one to fifty as long as you have them equipped. (Archetype sets and Winter sets also work this way, but since they only come in attuned versions it doesn't particularly matter) If you equip an attuned enhancement, you will keep the set bonuses to the minimum level of the enhancement. So three attuned luck of the gamblers will give you +regeneration and +health as long as you're level 22 or higher. Attuned enhancements are good for leveling in as much as they increase in efficacy as you level and they don't need to be replaced. I typically have three-ish sets of five attuned enhancements (Acc/Dam, Acc/Dam/End/Rech, Acc/Dam, Dam/End, Dam/End/Rech) that I store in e-mail and use on low level characters until I'm ready to respecify them. -
Clarification : Enchantment Sets - Booster vs Attuned

Adrenal Adjustment caps at level 20. +5 boosted acts as a 1.25 multiplier. A level 20 Adrenal Adjustment Endurance Modification is a +25.6% enhancement, +25.6% * 1.25 = 32% You have happened upon the case wherein a +5 boost is the same thing as +5 levels. Below level 20, crafting an enhancement 5 levels higher is more effective than boosting an enhancement. Above level 20, crafting an enhancement five levels higher is less effective than boosting. -

That's a name I've not heard in a long time. Probably because this is not a spoken medium.

... No? You've confused Preventive Medicine with Impervious Skin. Preventive Medicine only has a "Chance for Absorb Proc" and it works perfectly fine in Click powers like Dull Pain even if you never end up using Dull Pain. Impervious Skin has a Status Resistance/Regeneration enhancement. The Status Resistance portion works all the time, as long as you're above the minimum slotting level of the enhancement, the +25% regeneration portion of the enhancement only works for the 120 seconds after the power has been activated.

I think it'd be a nice little bit flavor, it would give new players an idea of just why Praetoria is. I think giving them the chance to be absolutely destroyed by Hamidon would really be an educational experience.

Yes.

It's just the Underground Incarnate Trial except you can enter it as a level 2 gold side character.

Why is the "Spring Fling" hosted during the Winter?

I'm trying to throw a hot spring, not catch an ovens. -

I'm sorry, I wouldn't know how to even start trying to throw a hot spring. -

It's called Spring Fling because you go around throwing elastic coils at people. -
I just thought that we stopped at the drive through for some burgers on the way to the mission, but it would be interesting to have a team buff applied by mobile ramen truck. Ramen truck could be a defender set, tier 1 power is a long term heal over time/cold resist and tier 2 is an AoE knockback "hit by truck"

Not a bad idea, but is there a model of a mini-van available in game? And is there a way to make everyone be eating hamburgers as they leave it?

1) An enhancement booster is a multiplier. One enhancement booster provides a 5% boost to the enhancement. It will take a 20% enhancement to 21%. These stack additively up to five: (5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%) The higher the base value of the boosted enhancement, the better the booster performs. A level 30 IO that is 5 boosted will be stronger than a level 50 IO that is unboosted (34.8 * 1.25 = 43.5 vs 42.4) 2) It depends on how you like to play. If you want absolute peak performance at level 50, you'll get better performance by getting level 50 enhancements and +5 boosting them. If you exemplar a lot, then look at the level caps of the enhancements you're using. Sting of the Manticore, for example, has a minimum level of 35, so you're better off getting level 35 enhancements and +5 boosting them than you are getting attuned. If the set has a minimum level below level 30, like Luck of the Gambler, then if you got level 30 Luck of the Gamblers and +5 boosted them, you'd lose those set bonuses below level 27, whereas attuned you'll keep the set bonuses down to level 22. (So at the very least, the Defense/Global Recharge should be attuned in an exemplar build, there's a lot of popular content in the 22-26 zone)

Snacks: + health + stamina as you eat some GORP or a granola bar. Compass: Points your character north. Pocket Knife: You can stab someone with this. Insect Repellent: For a duration you are entirely immune to swarms Emergency Blanket: Like hibernate, you wrap yourself up in a blanket and go to sleep. No improvements to healing or defense, but you do get elemental and energy resistance.

Primal Mr. G's arc: what does he do, exactly?
Major_Decoy replied to MechaCrash's topic in General Discussion
With me it was a case of "I could be open to negotiation, but you threatened me and now you have to regret that." -

You know what, they'd be better even if they kept the crash but moved it to an activation cost.

We've covered this, it's because normal elevators have such small weight limits and you never know when a team of eight robots is going to jump in, so instead of fragile wires pulling up and down the elevators, there are hydraulic pistons.

Starting Blue-only Missions with a Rogue (or Villain?)
Major_Decoy replied to gameboy1234's topic in General Discussion
If it's the signature story arcs, they're easily started by vigilantes redside and rogues blueside, just like task forces and strike forces. Interestingly, old Blueside contacts that are pre-level 20 can also be run by Rogues because they didn't have any reason to check character alignment (they're contacts that you outlevel and alignment tips don't start dropping until level 20). -
So, cutting the head off can kill a vampire sometimes, if the worm doesn't grow its mouth back before it starves to death. Sticking a rock, apple, or clove of garlic in the mouth can make it harder for the worm to feed, so they'll starve to death if they can't remove it. Stabbing a worm in the heart can kill it too, but it's kind of hard to aim properly.
-
Vampirism is a parasitic worm that replaces your canines, similar to that parasite that replaces a fish's tongue.
-
No, that's what I'm saying, it only uses the flight pose when you're moving forward. It uses the power slide pose for left, right, and back.
-
As long as you don't use any amount of +forward, you can powerslide while flying. It works side to side and backwards just fine.
